  1. Just ordered the Gigabyte GTX 970, together with an entirely new build. Mainly chosen for sup. cooling according to: http://www.overclock.net/t/1516121/gtx-970-comparison-strix-vs-msi-gaming-vs-gigabyte-g1
  2. Spell checker! hehe I get what you mean though, the F-15 doesn't clip anymore on the carriers. Same issue with many other planes... Although I couldn't possibly tell what's wrong with them and what's not :/
  3. No it is, you're absolutely right :p, just meant to say that my install was quite "fresh" already, but that probably doesn't mean anything :D All happened in latest version which is as you said 1.2.10 :) sorry for the confusion !
  4. Today actually ^^ in the current version of DCS ------------- I meant I already did a fresh install at 1.2.9 :)
  5. Roger that ! Install is fresh from 1.2.9 Hope I won't be coming back for this :) Thanks!
  6. So far this happened only once! A hidden feature of the ka, with Russian technology at it's peak: Bending time and space! I guess I should bring it back up should it ever happen again? Or is there a log I should post? Tried to run the replay, but it was corrupted...
  7. Hello guys, Came across this really weird thing: Basically I entered the a/c like any other day, and after take off things started to feel a little tight. Literally. :megalol: The heli was squishing me until basically it came to looking like this... From inside cockpit view it got larger & larger until my little pilot head got squished through the front. During the rather slow process of shrinking I was just floating forwards slowly. Since this was on a MP session, you'd probably wonder whether it affected everyone, but no only me, and when I asked they seemed to see me doing absolutely fine. I'll be happy to provide further information concerning this bug!
  8. Indeed nice screenshot! There's no real automated way to do it ^^ if not the only tips I can give you is adjust curves to have smoother input, which won't send you off completely as soon as you touch the joystick, instead make small adjustments thus more precision... And never chase the boom, fly in formation with the tanker; eyes on tanker, glance at boom. Last thing is to put altitude hold when matching tanker speed & height for a brief second to achieve perfect trim ( not easy to do manually as it's not very precise.) You can always try to put in an autopilot but it won't change anything to the concentration needed as drifting off happens really quickly! Good job :) Good luck and enjoy that ol'33 !
  9. If you're comfy with keyboard then I guess that's all up to you... but in a "hardcore sim" like you mentioned... Simulating reality the most we can... I have never heard of a keyboard controlled airbus or boeing lol... --------------------- Or any other a/c for that matter ^^ What you're trying to achieve sounds very controversial...
  10. Have noticed though, On the Su-25T, when flying level, I tried a slight climb but suddenly I had to trim it down continuously to keep it from going crazy vertical... No major speed changes! Felt a bit like a full p-51 fuselage tank where you'd have to start pushing down again on the stick to keep it level... Is that what you're referring too?
  11. I don't mean to be mean, but sticks start at under 5 bucks on amazon with a very reliable Logitech 3d Pro for under 30. If after 10 years you haven't managed to put 500 penny's aside, yet you're so invested into DCS then something ain't right...
  12. Hey guys, just a little note ^^ since the post's been brought up I'd like to share some basic but essential feedback! I've noticed the server occasionally comes down, which is absolutely fine but a little warning is always nice :) Like a simple "Up and running/Offline" note on the website would be greatly appreciated. It's the kind of things I like to see in I.E. The latest news section, or Server Info. With map rotations: a little sidenote on I.E. weather changes, upcoming/available planes, with little info on the changes! If it is present and I may have overlooked it then sorry! :P ------------------------------------ Side thought: Sometimes I'd like to see the sun move :) maybe not an entire Day&Night cycle, but a little sunset at the end of a 2 hour session could be really nice! In addition it would add a little sense of time as to when the server is about to reboot, other than the one in the chatbox! Not sure if possible but in distant airports ( far away from lets call it "main spawn base" slight weather changes? A local cloud or depression could add a lot to flight experience and give a new fresh look at travelling across the map! I know that the Idea is to have clear skies for Aerobatics, but further away it's not as if anyone would be bothered by it! To end this off, a great thanks to all the people and their dedication into keeping the server up, and to the frequent pilots, which keep the flying community in line to provide a lovely time for each and everyone of us !
  13. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=127667 Already answered this in your last post... :music_whistling: just sayin, read...
  14. I don't think so, then again I'm no specialist in the matter... To be confirmed
  15. Currently I know of two default snapviews which can be switched from with the num keys, one which is orientated towards the HUD, the second one being orientated towards the instruments. You can adjust each of these default snapviews in the LUA or by saving them once configured IG with Ralt+num0
  16. Unfortunately due to my lack of knowledge in the matter I can't tell you exactly how, but I can send you in the right direction :) FoV, default snapview etc can be adjusted by simply editing their values for each individual a/c in the following LUA: C:\Program Files (x86)\DCS World\Config\View I strongly recommend to open/edit them with Notepad++ ( free software ), Backup original files and other than that you are free to fiddle with them :)! Next Defaultsnapview can also be changed IG ( zooming out or in, moving the "pilots head" up and down, ( adjusting the size of the HUD in russian a/c ) With Ralt + Num 0 once you have chosen a comfortable position. You can adjust your seat with Rctrl+Rshift+ Num keys to move around. Hope this helps! ----------------- Edit: Mixed up Right and Left ;)
  17. So far the only way to succeed into having multiple views is to have a separate PC running another DCS account independently, and using that as a base for outside view... It's just really annoying and very impractical...
  18. Let me clarify :p, having main monitor show the cockpit view, while having the second monitor show I.E. F2 view simultaneously... So far I've only been able to reproduce certain gauges or mfcd displays on the second monitor, but not an outside view or even F10 map...
  19. Hey guys :) Was wondering, I have a big screen which I'd like to use for ( private ) cinematic purposes. Is it possible to set it up to show an outside view directly whilst at the same time being able to fly from inside the cockpit at all times? ( Multiplayer missions etc. )
  20. I feel like the hype's been there for too long now... So has this post, so has been the silence on the SU-27 PFM progress... My precious, give it to me! Give me my preciouuussss!
  21. Then try starting DCS directly through the actual exe, Launcher.exe or Updater right click launch as admin, see if that works?
  22. Would you happen to start your game through another gaming software? Are you using steam? Joystick software? Any shortcut that may not grant it full admin rights? Make sure in your DCS main folder that the exe files in "options/ compatibility" are set to start as Admin.
  23. Same problem here, I have contacted the owner waiting for reply. Yes have checked all the above mentioned
  24. My landings aren't perfect or anything, but the best ones I've done are basically just trying to fly slow above therunway keep it up as long as possible until it just gently smoothly touches the runway
