Question, will the systems be modeled and the cockpit interactive, or will it be more on par with the FC3 style. Either way I will be acquiring this one, she looks great so far.

I'm gonna build the Aviation Nation Airshow static ramp, then do various airshow routines in the Hog, Eagle, Sabre, and 'Stang.

The all operate out of Nellis. RedFor and BlueFor just take different sides of the range for the exercises that day. Then all RTB back to Nellis for debrief and beer. The only exception to that was the "Constant Peg" operations in the '70s and '80s, which operated out of Tonopah AFB.

SD, It's called an AN/MSN-7 Mobile Control Tower. Not only are those part of the deployable ATC Units (Navy calls them TACRON, Marines have them as part of the MEU), they are also used as temporary towers at bases where the main tower is temporarily out of service.

I have to agree, I think this is nothing more than a troll...similar to his DCS 3 comment. I mean, why not have a bit of fun with the community, when they are so ready to to jump on any little thing that looks like new content. No matter how far fetched (a la the F-117).

There are already scripts to add ambient air traffic to the environment, there is no reason to doubt that the scripting language won't carry over to DCSW2

I think we need to stop dissecting the content from Wags so much. We are starting to see things that more than likely are just internal test platforms, ie the F-117 stream mission, this, the Belsimtec F-15, etc. All it is doing is serving to drive us all nuts.

I would have to agree, civil aircraft do have a place in DCS now, especially since Las Vegas is now a thing, and the UAE is coming up as well. the UAE has 2 of the 3 largest Middle East airlines at Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

One thing I was impressed with in this last stream is the faster launch times with elements of a flight. A 2-ship launch is a less common thing in the current USAF, so it's a staggered departure, and the AI seem to be closer to actually performing that to a more realistic standard.

your flights are much better than mine, my flights usually consist of: "why can't I find anyone on my rad.....[map screen]"

I think the closest they get to that is when its time for trainers to practice landing on the carrier. They often will trap then taxi over to the cat and launch, but the deck is clear of most other aircraft.

The only thing I could think of is to use skyvector.com and take a screenshot of the area that you want to use.

Oh the CPU melting load that would cause. Light throughout the city would be dimming.
