  1. Oh the CPU melting load that would cause. Light throughout the city would be dimming.
  2. This is the one I took of the G450's hud w/EVS on.
  3. Maybe once TowSim gets the ATC part of Aries up and running we can have a ground controller direct aircraft to their spots.
  4. Awww, you left the EVS off, I took a shot through a 450's HUD once, the EVS is a really cool effect. Congrats on the type rating by the way. PS: saw the tail number, next time you're coming to KLEB gimme a shout.
  5. There is something to be said for a more functional marine environment with ASW, mine-clearing, amphibious operations from L-class ships, etc. At the moment the water is more or less nothing more than a decorative part of the map that has no real function or effect. I am hopeful for the future, as we move into DCS2 and beyond that the marine environment will mature along with the land.
  6. I think I have vomited those colors before.

    Curves

I find curves a bit like training wheels. They are great when you are starting out, however as your comfort with the handling increases, turn down the curve until it's gone.
  8. That looks like one of the desert mods for Georgia.
  9. yes...yes it is, and Han, and Chewie, and R2D2, and whats up with Wilson from Castaway rolling around in the movie?
  10. There are several tutorials about how to make aircraft for DCSW in the modding threads. I do agree though that there should be some effort to make/port civil aircraft for AI purposes.
  11. I have the same issue as well, went to a completely clean install of DCS and the UH-1 and still have it.
  12. Those squadrons that did transition, did go to Super Hornets, however there were some that just disbanded and so some of their pilots may have transitioned to Legacy Hornets.
  13. I thought about this too, maybe the Leatherneck theater will add that little neighborhood to the NTTR map. But it would be nice for the NSAWC Hornets to have a home.
  14. This is one mod that I have really been waiting for.
  15. I do like the fact that the vast majority of us are older.
  16. In my experience with USAF tactical fighters, they will roll out to the end of the runway to exit, because they have to be inspected and re-pinned by the ground crews who are stationed at the end of the runway. So they will always roll to the end with very few exceptions. Now that being said, they don't dilly-dally either like they do sometimes in DCS.
  17. I loved that game. I've been simming since my top-of-the-line mac had a 35mb hard drive and 4mb of ram.
  18. So for a shameless plug, and for the impending release of DCSW2 and the NTTR I made this: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1305641/
  19. An aircraft generator/start-cart
  20. I was simply pointing out that the map does not extend as far as the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station in California ;) On topic. I am really digging the reflections from the buildings and the ground. One thing I am still hopeful for is that someone will make some AI civil airliners. This would also be good since the Hormouz map is home 2 of the 3 biggest airlines in the world.
  21. Planet Dollymood...does that mean all the women have big ;) Nope, the map doesn't go this far:
  22. With the disbandment of the 57th FS many of the agressor painted eagles are finding their way to ANG squadrons, so the potential is there for one of them to be sent up on an intercept mission. CaANG has 2 of the desert ones, MaANG has one of the flanker ones. It is unknown if they will be repainted, Ma's still has 57th markings on the tail.
  23. Ranger, is there a way to texture the HUMVEE and this new guys in OD as well?
  24. Hopefully someone will start making AI civil planes soon. It would be nice to have to dodge the Southwest 737s, Cessnas, and tour helicopters on approach into LSV.
