  1. I've also adjusted my view file, but the problem is that you can't play multiplayer with it modified in the root directory. I've tried copying it to "Saved Games", but didn't work. The F/A-18C is not listed in SnapViewsDefault (yet?) and my attempt to add it also did not work. Anyone know how to modify the view from the Saved Games directory, at this early phase of development? For added info about what I change, in case it matters. I use a zoom toggle, very often, and like to restrict the FOV to 30 degrees max instead of 20. I like to adjust the default FOV per aircraft, which is my zoom out toggle or "Zoom Normal". I also like to adjust vertical view angle per aircraft needs. Lastly, using TrackIR, I like to adjust the "lean-in max distance", which is actually the postive X position for some reason, to get a little closer to my displays. Thanks
  2. Music to my ears! I recently made the switch to a MFFB2 and can't imagine going back.
  3. @Yukari Beauty!
  4. I don't know much about the hornet, but know that some other aircraft include elevation information with the waypoint data so I was looking around to see if the hornet did as well. However, is waypoint elevation information in meters? 2000 miles seems a little high... I was caught off guard with the sudden metric switcheroo. Attached is a picture.
  5. The Instant Action missions has exactly what you want. I was creating my own practice missions until I realized this.
  6. Things appear to be working as normal for me now.
  7. BIGNEWY my be onto something. I traced the route and the ip that last responded was 142.165.0.110, which is located in Esterhazy. I took a quick look at a doppler radar for that area and there is in fact a storm cell in that exact area. Perhaps a node did lose power in the last couple hours.
  8. @dooom I'm having the same issue and also live in Saskatchewan, probably not a coincidence. I have no idea what it might be though.
  9. It is amazing! Thank you ED and Belsimtek! I had hoped to try for the F/A-18A in the RCAF, but don't have the ears for it... (can't equalize very well). So this module, along with VR in the future, is the closest I'll likely get.
  10. Hopefully this gets acknowledged and addressed at some point. I really do enjoy the Su-25T and my fingers are crossed that this isn't a massive rewrite that would be difficult to justify, especially considering the Su-27/33 seem to work. I'll try to post a video soon documenting the issue (if nothing else to keep the hope/thread alive for a bit..)
  11. @toutenglisse Thanks. I don't have FC3 so I was wondering if this was a problem with all simplified aircraft or not. Considering the age of the Su-25T in ED's timeline, I was caught off guard with this kind of bug. Guess I'm out of luck with the Su-25T? A real bummer as I was very much looking forward to flying it with the MSFFB 2.
  12. Hello all, First, I posted my issue in the Su-25T forums, but have since realized that my be the wrong place. Instead of duplicating it here, here is the link: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=208945 The main issue is that the MSFFB 2 does not follow the flight stick in autopilot, instead it simply centers itself (with Su-25T). This creates a jarring and rapid movement when autopilot is disengaged as it quickly moves to the current flight stick position. Is there any experience with this issue out there? I'm on 2.5.1 OB, thanks for any help.
  13. I found a video, of an Su-27, of what I assumed was supposed to happen in the Su-25T. My MSFFB 2 does not do this, but instead simply centers itself.
  14. Hello I've recently purchased a Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 joystick and really like it, especially the WW2 birds! I enjoy flying the Su-25T quite a lot, but I have one significant issue since making the switch to this joystick. The autopilot doesn't seem to play nice with it. Trim works good (with the axis swapped), but when autopilot is engaged the joystick centers itself and does not move with the flight stick. This results in a large and rapid joystick movement when I disengage the autopilot as it quickly tries to move to the current flight stick position. I use the autopilot override extensively with the Su-25T, especially using Attitude Hold in combination with the override during attack runs. So this jarring movement of the joystick makes using the override almost impossible. With my previous joystick, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, the autopilot override worked great, but because the joystick didn't move! Have I missed something in the configuration of the joystick or is there a known fix for this? Thanks for the help!
  15. I used a 3D Pro for over a decade. The link below is a thread where I posted my updated version of tyrspawn's profile and my Su-25T profile based on the same theme. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=151225 Maybe that'll help you get started. ** I have not tested the profiles with DCS 2.5, but they worked great in 2.0 so I assume they should be fine.
  16. Great stuff gents! I hope to begin my build in the next month and will return with my progress.
  17. Beautiful, thanks gents! More than enough info and help to get me over the hump. I'll return back when I begin construction.
  18. Hello everyone, I'm going to be attempting to build a P-51D throttle quadrant soon and am just doing my preliminary research. I've been studying all the images I can find, but do not have any real experience pushing aircraft throttles around. In short, I'm puzzled as to how the friction and tension mechanism in the throttle works as I'm hoping to replicate a semi-real feel. Since I have no experience and no one around locally to help me, I figure my best shot is to understand how the real mechanism works and try to aim for something close to that. I'm fine with the electronics and computer side, but any help on the mechanical side would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
  19. Great! That was it. I didn't know that individual missions could contain their own view files. Good to know. Thank you
  20. Hello, I'm having troubles with the command post strike mission. The default view for that mission is somehow completely different from all the other missions. I did have an edited SnapViews.lua, but restored it to default, however with no change. It is only that single mission. The vAngle is probably +5 degrees with perhaps a 60 degree FOV. The rest of the missions work fine with the default 90 degree FOV and roughly -18 degrees vAngle. Anyone have any ideas why a single mission has a different default view? Thanks
  21. Out of curiosity, is this a Flaming Cliffs feature or an Su-25T feature?
  22. Thanks Rich. In the days of Flanker 2.0 and hyperlobby, your videos were a great help!
  23. They offer 1/8" shaft engraving cutters of the same type which should fit in a dremel, see here. After letting the black paint dry for a week, I just blob on a water based paint with a q-tip or small brush and, with a damp cloth, wipe off the excess. I'm not looking to completely fill in the engraving, just want a thin coating of white. Basically, any paint that won't dissolve the base black paint. Then you can easily wipe it off.
  24. I get pretty satisfactory results from painted clear acrylic on my scratch built CNC router. I use this engraving tool with a 0.10 tip at a depth of 0.2mm and fill it in with white paint. And I used this font: MilSpec33558 I attached a picture of an ELEC PWR panel I had lying around.
  25. You place them in your "Saved Games/DCS" folder under your user name. So it would be "{YOUR WINDOWS USERNAME}/Saved Games/DCS". I attached an image that hopefully will help. You'll see that I have a few profiles located in this folder. As I mentioned above, once you copy the profile to this directory and start DCS, you will have to go to the controls settings and add buttons 7-12 as modifiers. I've also attached an image that will hopefully help with this. Unless you complete this step, the bindings that use these buttons will not work and show up as red. Thankfully, you only have to do this once, not for each aircraft. Good luck! P.S If you click on your user name in the top right of these forums, then click on "Statistics" tab, under the heading "Total Posts" you can view all of your posts under the link "Find all posts by retired_old_sarge". This post history might help you find what your looking for.
