  1. Here's an IDEA Lets pretend that there isn't a problem and all will be well! This should not be that big of a problem to fix. It is, however a big problem for every huey and MI-8 pilot out there, So why are we not seeing a fix for this? I figured the fix would come with the F-14 update, but noooooooo.....
  2. I am Loving the new dedicated server. Its running awesome and I am popping into missions and aircraft faster than I ever have. Bravo!
  3. I dont think the norender piece is working fully. and you also dont need the webgui switch. If you run just --server, you will get the webgui and the server might run. The HD4600 is a bit weak, but there is a lot of stuff that doesnt get loaded. If you can launch DCS native, go into the settings and reduce everything to the mininum then try the --server.

  5. Ok. So in testing, I have 2 machines. one of them is what I normally connect to our server from and I can get the dedicated server to run on it without an issue. However, on the system we normally run as the server, I fire up DCS.exe --server (same way I did on my system) and the server comes up with the first mission in the list. I can tell because I can f2 around at the aircraft and I can look at F10 to see the map. However, the webgui isnt connecting to the server. Yes, I am running the webgui's index.html from the server itself and it doesnt connect to the server. Does the system have to be running IIS? is it because the account that I have the server logging into doesnt have any aircraft modules? Kinda Stumped
  6. Also experiencing the update hang.... As is everyone I know who plays dcs. Saw a post from Dev the other day saying that they were having a server hardware issue that was preventing a hot fix from being downloaded, which I assume is still happening. Here's a novel concept, redundant servers, redundant routers, redundant Internet connections. Took over an hour to download 15.9 megabyte. Good speed in 1969, but its not 1969.
  7. C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION issues Also seeing an increase in the number of crashes related to C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATIONs from various DLL's. D3D11.DLL being on of them as well as EDTERRAIN4.DLL and others. Have had 6 this month, 3 last month, 3 the month prior... Is there a fundamental issue with the NVIDIA drivers? I am using the 1070 from NVIDIA.
  8. C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION issues Greetings, I hope this thread is active and monitored by people that matter. That being said, I too suffer from C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION crashes of varying DLLs. I use the Vive VR, if that matters. I have done some research on this, and all sources point to programs accessing parts of Virtual Memory that are off limits. I have doubled my Swap File size to do further testing, but I am reaching out to see if there are solutions that may be coming out of dev. The problem seems to be increasing. I had one issue in FEB, then 1 in APR, 3 in May, 3 in June, and now 6 in July. I will attach all of my July logs if that helps. Well, I guess I cannot attach my logs because they exceed the 9 mb limit of the forum. one log is 13 mb, the other is 20. Ok, after looking in the Zip files, in order to make them smaller, I needed to delete the trk file that was in the log.   9. I can get the game to go full screen in VR, but everything is stretched out like and looks like crap. I want to be able to livestream my DCS play, but I have the choice of a screen that is a third of the screen size or stretched out like taffy. Why? Why, I ask.
  10. I bought the ATI R9 390 a few months back, and I am loving it. I also picked up the HTC Vive VR headset and I'm glad the 390 has 8 gig of ram!

  12. First of all I see what your up against, and there is an easy solution. I am assuming you are wanting the editor to utilize the whole screen and the aircraft to use the whole screen. This is accomplished by setting your monitors as a single monitor and if your using ATI, its called Eyefinity. Nvidia calls it something else. I have the ATI so to get the three screens to act as a single screen, I have to create an Eyefinity. If your using the new Crimson Driver and control panel, its fairly straight forward, open your Radeon settings, then click the Eyefinity tab. Create a new eyefinity group by clicking Quick Setup. Nvidia is very similar, but I am not sure about the exact procedure. Then, in your DCS options, set your "Monitors" option to 3 screen and your resolution to 5760x1080. Option 2, if you want to use one monitor for flying and the other two for MFD's, you can use a predefined monitor settings, "LMFCD+Camera+RMFCD" or you can create your own, Like I have.   13. if you need some advice if you need any advice on building monitor lau scripts for your 3 monitor setup, hit me up. I have done extensive research and scripting.
  14. Works fine in MP on the machine I created with No No, this works fine on the system that I created the mission on. EVEN in multiplayer. I can run multiplayer and everything is fine, but only on the system the mission was created on. If I transfer it to another system, its screwed.
  15. Okay, I know this is going to sound strange, so don't start off thinking I'm nuts... Here's the deal... If I create a mission in the mission editor that has triggers like "If Group in Zone" then "Activate another group", the triggers work fine when I run the mission from the computer that built the mission. However.... If I send this mission to another user or to a different system to run as a server, the triggers don't work. They will work IF I change the trigger from "If Group in Zone" to "If UNIT in zone" but not if I use Group. It is like this in 2.0, 1.5, and I believe in 1.2... I have tested this by sending the mission to 2 users in our community and had them run the mission. I am told by the guy who runs our server that he has had this problem since the beginning and that everytime he builds a map that he must use UNIT conditions if he expects it to work in the server system (where the mission was not built). What the heck? :crash:

  17. So I was saving some orphans and nuns from a burning building when I happened to glance down at my smartphone and came across this give-a-way. My first thought was... Wow, the Mig-21... The only DCS Aircraft I don't own, hmmm, that would be a real nice addition to my DCS collection. Then it dawned on me that it was Christmas and perhaps the orphans would like to have a mig-21, especially since they were now homeless. All joking aside. I think what you and others are doing is really cool, and wanted to say that your efforts are appreciated. Besides, when you said jokes were welcome, I couldn't help myself. And Merry Christmas.
  18. I have noticed a bit of sluggishness in the KA as well, however, I have yet to experience engine failures. Might try dropping some fuel for weight. I know that the KA, fully armed is near max weight.

  21. has and will be released? What is that supposed to mean, cuz I purchased the 101 when it came out and have been waiting for months for the CC version of the 101 so I can use its weapon systems. If it "has" been released, where is it? if it "will be" released, when?
