  1. When your in DCS/Options/(Aircraft name) there's a MAKE HTML button. When you click that it creates an .html file for each input device. keyboard, joystick, mouse, TrackIR, etc. You should find them in C:\Users\{your name}\Saved Games\DCS\InputLayoutsTxt I combine the keyboard, stick and throttle .html files to give me one quick reference. Like the ones here; see Bindings: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2435723&postcount=1 I use Open Office Calc to do the combining. HTH
  2. UJR seems like a likely candidate. Sitting in a car park right now. I'll check it when I get back. Update Solution!!! vJoy - To create a virtual input device AutoHotkey - To run in the background for UJR to run in UJR - To remap the Axes Took a bit of brain boiling but I can now crash the Mustang in true analogue wheel braking style ;) Thanks to Mordhar for the "3rd Party" tip.
  3. I cannot use rudder pedals in my setup and being able to map wheel brakes to the twist would be ideal, as it is in another much maligned Sim/CFS. Any idea where one might start to look in the 3rd party software domain? I have JoystickCurve (with a couple of channels of VJoy Virtual Joystick) but that doesn't want to play. “not possible, never be implemented for technical reasons” sounds like an excuse to me. Also just think what could be done with helos; assigning collective and throttle (with different curves of course) to one throttle control axis. ED are SO good at everything else, this omission kind of baffles me somewhat.
  4. Thanks for the Heads Up. I see people are using it on the Hawk (twin seater) with a little bit of tweaking. And even the Huey with varying degrees of success. Could other mods be interacting?
  5. Brilliant!! This Neck Mod transforms DCS for me. Well done and thank you PeterP, What a great man :)
  6. The things you do when you can't sleep... Added a first go at the F-15C controls graphic and table. Needs flight testing. I now have all the bits to try the switch mods on the T16000m. All I need now is to get my brain in gear ... :joystick:
  7. Sig Check Sig Check All good. Wasn't showing. Is now :)
  8. I had a spare SSD 250GB when I bought a larger one for my system disk C: 500GB. All I did was copy my whole DCS folder over to the now G: drive. I put it in G:\Program Files\ All that needed changing was the in the Desktop Shortcut (and it's copy in the game folder)\Properties "Target" path and "Start In" path And it worked. btw Mine's the non-Steam version, if yours is the Steam one than you'll have to move it via Steam or the updates won't follow. It's doable though, I have Steam stuff on different drives.
  9. Added a few more functions and updated the layout info graphic and html. I had an exploratory look in side the T16000m handle. Comes apart easy enough. Getting it back together again is a beatch!!! Buttons 2, 3 and 4 press on conductive rubber pad switches and the contact pieces are separate from the buttons. Lining them up took a few goes. Exasperating goes... I think a dab of glue is called for to hold them onto the buttons next time I go in there. Especially for the two outer buttons; juggling 7 un-anchored pieces blind, at once is a real headache.
  10. Almost missed it! I'm glad I saw this post. Grabbed the Mig-21 and the Huey. Ones I couldn't justify at the last sale :) Now what I want to see is a Mig-21 era adversary ... Not really bothered about trainers, however well done.
  11. I have TrackIR x,y and z axes running. For the z axis I have more forward dead zone than aft. I also use Cockpit Camera fwd/aft as an override set to two spare stick base buttons on my T16000m. Zoom I have on a slider. DCS seems to take a while to acknowledge when I've returned my head position to normal. I do a lot of TrackIR centring though if I wait long enough DCS can catch up. The other headtracking axes work fine for the most part. DCS also seems to throw a bit of Zoom in when I look down into the cockpit, although at close quarters it's difficult to differentiate Zoom and Z anomalies. Extending the z dead zone forwards has helped a bit but I've not got it perfect yet.
  12. My friend uses FaceTrackNOIR with a TrackIR Pro-clip. I believe the headtracker dll for FTNOIR is from the FreeTrack project. At least it was a one stage.
  13. I've updated the Control Layout graphic and added an html table to post #1 http://www.kozmykfirecat.webspace.virginmedia.com/images/Flight_Control/A-10C_Combined.html As the title suggests it's a combination of the various html files the DCS MAKE HTML produces, less my unassigned functions.
  14. Good tip, thanks. That idea hadn't occurred to me. The switches I've ordered come in packs so I'll have a few to play with. I might just use it as a straight nose wheel steering button. The combo I've got now is a bit clunky. Good call on those r/h buttons though, only one of them is easily usable as is..
  15. Adding a Thrustmaster T16000m has provided that much needed precision to my stick control. I AM attracted to the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS but my setup (see below) precludes the use of rudder pedals. Having used the venerable Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS X for years I have become used to using the Rocker on the Throttle Quadrant for rudder. I really don't like twist rudders, not for me at least. Sim Battles in War Thunder (ducks for cover ;) ) showed me the need for more stick precision. Flying with the HOTAS X stick was fine but aiming was sub-optimal shall we say. The T16000m stick fixed all that, excellent control smoothness around the centre point, where most of the aiming inputs happen. DCS WWII brought me renewed interest in DCS/FC/BS and I'm once again on the DCS learning curve. Using the CarneyUK (http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1354997&postcount=4) and dnc (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=83516) threads as a starting point I came up with this: A-10C Warthog - Control Layout - Pre Stick Mod A-10C Warthog - Control Layout with Modded T16000 dnc's graphic has been a most useful starting point, both for understanding how it might be done and as a template for me to work from. Cunning Plan - Modify the T16000m The position of Button 3 on the T16000m from the index finger side to the top left of the stick has been a problem. I did have it swapped for Button 4 but it's not in an ideal position to use as a Shift Button. I had a cunning plan to attach a switch (hot glued probably) on the right front above the Guns trigger and wire it in parallel to the existing Button 3. Mod thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=146102 A-10C Bindings Added an html table combined from the MAKE HTML function that DCS provides:( (https://www.dropbox.com/s/avkt89i0sjrxtaa/DCS_A-10C_Warthog_Combined_modded.html?dl=0) The Reclined Cockpit Back problems limit me to sitting for any length of time in a reclined supported position. This has led me to setting up my PC next to my bed and using support pillows to get the recline angle right. My controls are mounted on a bed table and, currently, the monitor is offset to the left; sitting on top of the PC case. The T.Flight Stick cannot be disconnected from the Throttle unfortunately; hard wired. So I suspend it out of the way under the table. Isn't string a wonderful thing? Offset Flying Strung Together Bed Mate More Works In Progress Not flown the F-15 much so haven't yet seen what works and what doesn't, ergonomically. 16. GIMP ftw :smilewink:
  17. I wonder which Modifier/s he's using though?
  18. When a keybind has O/F on it what does the O/F stand for? e.g. "Autopilot O/F" It appears to mean On/Off but why O/F? French?
  19. TEWS "U" Symbol I've been seeing "U" symbols for contacts on the TEWS . What does this stand for? Can't find it in the manual. I could see it standing for "Unidentified", logically, but it'd be nice to confirm that. ;)
  20. What Channel was the stream on? I'd like to know so I can Follow it and know when another stream goes up.
