V1 with launch ramp for DCS World
predattak replied to razo+r's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Any plans for an A4 Missile? -
Here is a Music Radio tutorial that works perfectly in multiplayer. Everyone can hear the songs even if they enter later on the server , it resets so it will play playlist over and over again. The file is a PDF that's why i uploaded it. HERE : http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=50522313222354927218 If the link expired by the time you see this PM me.

Is it me or the "subtitles" are very out of sync ? Really good videos for those who understand German.. english speakers .. well
-
Yes , i can't wait for that one too :) but i was wondering about ED exclusive.
-
So, now what? Now that we have the beautiful Spitfire , what's the next ED module planned? Anyone?

show me your first spitfire kill
predattak replied to 9.JG27 DavidRed's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
Yes, you must be mad to turn fight a spitfire in a 190 :) but even with boom and zoom ..the AI it's just ... someone else should try it and see.. maybe it's just me :) i know the AI is using SFM but even so .. if it's not at least close to AFM it should be tweaked.. -
show me your first spitfire kill
predattak replied to 9.JG27 DavidRed's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
Is it just me or the AI spitfire it's just way too maneuverable ? No matter what i try i just cannot kill AI wit' my 190. It's like he is playing some arcade game. The only way i can kill it is if i have a major altitude advantage and i kill him from my first burst or else he will just out climb out everything ... i'm not a great Dora pilot but hell i eat AI .. this one tho... :)) Hope the player one with the AFM it's more realistic -
Do the Germans build good aircraft or what?
predattak replied to Phantom453's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
AI units in DCS use SFM not AFM , the result, you can see with you eyes Units fly perfectly with no control surfaces , tons of holes in them, have insane turn rates etc , same happens to me with the mustangs, against AI i must rip his wings apart or kill his pilot .. the engine dmg and the rest does not work. In mp .. most of the times it takes 2 or 3 bullets to hit the engine of a mustang and his engine is down due to AFM and the rest of the advanced damage system. Once i chopped the entire wing off an AI M-2000C and he just kept on fighting like it was nothing (i still have the screenshots heheh) .. with ONE WING LOL. It's the AI SFM.. They said it's going to be fixed .. not soon because DCS it's 90% multiplayer :) -

Interesting -
I think a saw in the past some version of the A model on a "to do list" from some 3rd party dev .. but i'm not sure. Anyway it's going to be in the very very far future .. IF it's going to be that is.

he glass covers from the instruments are missing
predattak replied to predattak's topic in Object Bugs
Because this is the Bugs and Problems section not the "chitchat" section where i posted earlier. -
The glass covers from the instruments are missing. After the update i realised that the glass that covers the instrument gauges is gone. No matter if the cockpit is in the light or shadow or high res or low res , the glass covers are absent. here, one example. http://imgur.com/a/Kvk9X if you need more screenshots , i will provide, just ask.

predattak replied to predattak's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
No, it's not that, i tested it in all light conditions , all angles .. nothing :) W8ing for 2.5 it's not an option either.. 2.5 it's ... far away ... -
Do you guys have this too or it's just me ? After the update i realised that the glass that covers the instrument gauges is gone. No matter if the cockpit is in the light or shadow or high res or low res , the glass covers are absent. I wonder if i should report this to the bugs section so that's why i'm asking. here, take a look http://imgur.com/a/Kvk9X

FW 190-D9: Starter and oil gauge bugs in 1.5.5
predattak replied to Sporg's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
Same here .... after the pain of trying to see something through the pilot body that now you can't remove(it's been reported..) i could not start the engine at all without ground power and ALOT of time spinning the starter... but it's OPEN BETA , i'm used with it , it will be fixed in the next mini patch .. usually in a week or so :) -
Will try it , thx

I think it's related to the clickable radio but i'm not 100% sure ...

Yesterday while we were flying i noticed that at some point in flight my mouse cursor (the yellow +) disappeared. However the problem was for the other texture too , i pressed ESC to see if the mouse cursor works on the main menu , nothing, if you were careful you could "aim" for the buttons of the main menu by looking at what buttons are highlighted so the actual mouse works but the icon vanishes. After a very interesting ALT+F4, i entered the sim again .. all worked well until it happened again just like that , out of nowhere in flight , i ejected from the aircraft and this time the mouse icon reappeared BUT it remained like that all along even when it should have been invisible (when you enable mouse free look in cockpit) In 4 hours of flight in happened to me 2 or 3 times Long story short, Mouse cursor texture appears and disappears at times after update. I never had this problem in any other versions of the simulator.

Oh thank God it's not just me ! I was about to report it too. It obstructs a ton of instruments and switches , glad it's been reported :)

No cockpits displayed
predattak replied to zacklaws's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
Borrow a dx11 card from a friend and test to see if it works, i really don't think it's the ram, you mentioned that 78% of ram is used , it's normal with 4 gb (my friend has about the same amount used when we fly) but who knows .. it could be the ram too .. anyway i would get a dx 11 compatible card from a friend and see if it runs. -

Not sure if it's the system... one of my friends has DCS working perfectly Windows 10 and about the same hardware.(4 gm ram and 2 gm card, he doesn't play it on super populated servers but in sp and coop mp he has over 90 fps all the time ) Have you upgraded from win 7 ? or installed clean? how about your DCS? Try a clean install of maybe the stable version of 1.5 not open beta. Don't install any modules, just clean install it and see if it works. -
force custom Lables in Multiplayer?
predattak replied to JG52fldrms's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
Oh boy , this is going to be a long one. You can. For this small tutorial , let's say that the scenario is called Mission1.miz (you will understand later why) So first thing that you want to make is to go to C:\Users\[your name]\Saved Games\DCS\Missions\ and copy the mission you want to force labels on your desktop (or in any working space), in our case Mission1.miz Go to C:\Games\DCS\Config\View\ from here copy the Labels.lua file to your desktop. Open the Labels.lua with notepad or notepadd++ First look at these lines: ------------------------------------------------------------ AirOn = true GroundOn = true NavyOn = true WeaponOn = true ------------------------------------------------------------ from here you can disable what labels you want, for ex let's say that i only want labels for air units and the rest of them turned OFF, disabled (forced) put false instead of true on all except of "Airon" line Now for the dot only labels with no range and no name: The lines that you are interested in are these: ------------------------------------------------------------ AirFormat = {} AirFormat[10] = "" AirFormat[5000] = "}%N%n%D%n%P" AirFormat[10000] = "}%N%n%D" AirFormat[20000] = "]%n%D" AirFormat[30000] = "'" ------------------------------------------------------------ if you want to see only a dot and no other thing, modify the table into this: ------------------------------------------------------------ AirFormat = {} AirFormat[10] = "" AirFormat[5000] = "'" AirFormat[10000] = "'" AirFormat[20000] = "'" AirFormat[30000] = "'" ------------------------------------------------------------ What you did is this, at all the ranges that labels show up, they will only see a ' instead of full name, range etc. You can change at what range the labels will show up too , see next to AirFormat there is a number, that is the distance in meters (i advice you to lower it for ww2) Our next stop is at the end, with these lines --------------------------------------------------------- ColorAliesSide = {255, 0, 0} ColorEnemiesSide = {0, 0, 255} --------------------------------------------------------- That is what color your enemy and allied labels will be , for more realism i suggest you to put the same color on both so you and your guys will have no idea if the plane you see is friendly or enemy and it will force you to visually identify the target before engaging. (more realistic) You can add any color as long as you know the code (see photoshop or google or http://rgb.to/:P) i added a dark orange to mine in one mission. EX here enemies and allies have the same blue labels --------------------------------------------------------- ColorAliesSide = {0, 0, 255} ColorEnemiesSide = {0, 0, 255} --------------------------------------------------------- After you modified the file to your liking, save and close the notepad. ADDING THE LABELS FILE TO THE MISSION FILE Create a folder named Config, inside it add a folder named View, in this folder add your Labels.lua file you should have this Config\View\Lables.lua Open your mission , in our case Mission1.miz with winrar or 7 zip (right click open archive) drag the Config folder that you made into the archive (this will copy the config folder inside your mission.) (sometimes the mission already has the config folder inside so it will ask you to overwrite the file, click yes to all) don't click save archive (it's being saved automatically) close (click X ) the winrar or 7zip and that's it. You are done. Now put your mission (in this tutorial Mission1.miz) back to C:\Users\[your name]\Saved Games\DCS\Missions\ and fly. I suggest that you make randomization spawn scripts for your mission that randomly spawn friendly planes too , combined with this .. perfect. If done right not even you, the mission designer will have any idea what plane is in the air, where , from what faction or if there is any plane at all.. ALSO, i don't know if you know about this, you should get these mods and have more diversity on the map, note that the list is not full so if you want more planes search for Markindel. The List--> https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=175078 If you are having problems with any part of this tutorial please let me know :)
