Fly Navy.

I've downloaded and installed DCS world and my modules 1.2.8. Still only quantity numbers but not fuel gauage working on SU25T. Also fuel gauage not working at all on SU33. Due to lack of input/responce/interest in this subject i'll just assume they dont work right...........

Captdick - try deleting the view file and repair as discribed above. That might do it. Mole - did you reinstall the whole DCS thing or just FC3? Can you confirm that you now have the fuel gauges working as a result?
-
Hi CaptDick...Not sure...I remember on the 1st Black Shark you could make the pilots body appear/disappear. I dont know if that is now applicable to the SU33? Maybe someone will chip in here.... Mole are you sure your SU25 Fuel gauge is working? Mine reads no higher than 4 even with full tanks. I think it does decrease when it empties to that level though. Definatley a zero on the SU33 fuel gauge though. I'm going to have another look at the F15 ILS this evening. Ive read it can be quirky depending on wether at Russian/western airfield. I might have not been reading it right. Just in case anyone is having the same problem with the SU25T HUD. I put my beta config file in 'users' and it was corrected. I then put the updated config file back in and deleted the view file contained within. I then did a repair. The odd thing is that there is now no view file in config but it works fine.

AFM for Cy-33? and folding wings with payload question
drack replied to WildBillKelsoe's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
I wonder if they will put the SU27 AFM on the SU33? I'm wondering when we will get a new carrier for the SU33. Its getting a bit old now. When you look at the standard of carrier in X Plane/P3d(freeware) we need a new one. Tomcatz Carrier with the animations is real nice but we shouldnt be relying on Freeware. I think there is a new one coming soon for USA carrier. Love the SU33 and would love to see an AFM. -
Thanks for your reply Mole, Yeah my SU33 HUD - having a bit of trouble reading ALT and speed at sides. Your SU25T pit is OK though. Hummmm????? I wonder what happend with mine? I'll try putting it right by doing a straight repair from the DCS menu. If that doesnt work I'll delete the View file and see if that works. Really dont know about the fuel guage? Suppose I'll try uninstall/reinstall FC3. Wonder if others are having same problem? Thanks.

Hi Folks, I've just updated to 1.2.8 and just wanted to check a couple of things with you just to make sure it is a fault and not something that has gone wrong with my updating process. 1/ SU25T - fuel gauge not working? 2/ SU25T - HUD to high and unusable? (was ok with beta). 3/ SU33 - fuel gauge not working? 4/ F15 - ILS not working? Thanks in advance for help. Exciting to see the things that are happening/about to happen with DCS.

Reworked Cockpit Views with proper Neck
drack replied to PeterP's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Hi Peter, Big, Big thank you for this mod. I had a horrible 'goldfish' bowl effect with the A10C and this has totally fix that. Now a much nicer pit to fly and looks right. Many thanks for your work. I'm still getting a really bad goldfish bowl effect with the SU25T though. What numbers can I change to fix this? Great work. -
Hi Akoberk, The bit of magic you are looking for is called 'Surround'. Turn on surround in the Nvidia control panel and it will spread the view across your three screens. You could use the 3 screen option in DCS options but it is a heavy fps killer. With surround you will get elongation at the ends of the screens but better fps. Hope this helps.

Hi Chromium. 'Mist patrol function' Where can I find out about that? Thanks.

I dont know if someone has already posted this or not there is a lot of pages...... I have been trying to put a bit of 'eye candy' on an airfield and wanted to put a vehicle in a W/P loop like you can with A/C so I could have a vehicle constantly driving around. Cant put vehicles in W/P loops. Would be nice if we could........

Hi Folks, I've just finished doing a tour of all the airbases on the map in the SU 25 in Instrument meteorological conditions. I've really enjoyed finishing an evenings flying by shooting a few ILS's in low vis. Crack a beer, stick some easy listening music on in the background relax and enjoy type thing. I've enjoyed the tour that much that I was wondering if anybody/any squadrons have IFR practice nights with ATC that I could pop along to? Anybody know of anybody doing that sort of thing? Hope your all well. Graham. :pilotfly:

I'm sure Ive done some ILS approaches to some of those Airfields superhornete lists as non-ILS? I'm away from my sim pit at the moment so cant check - Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong......

Difference DCS World SU25T and Flaming Cliffs 3 SU25
drack replied to jomar machado's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I love the SU25. I use DCS more as a flight sim than a flight sim/Mil ops sim. I very rarely drop a bomb/fire a round these days....just a pure flight sim to me.... In this respect the SU 25 has a new cockpit that I rate as graphically good as a FSX/XP10 Caranado production. I'm about 2/3 of the way through visiting every airfield on the map in the SU 25 and love the new ones. Again a quality that matches either of the top two pure flight sims. At the end of my last days off quality sim evening, I Had just finished an IFR flight into one of the new airfields and sat there admiring the SU 25 cockpit once having turned the engines off and thinking 'I really enjoyed that flight'. I love to finish an evenings flying sat there having really enjoyed the flying, admiring the quality of the A/C cockpit/Airfield and already looking forward to the next session. The SU25 never fails to have me looking forward to more time with her and would recommend it as a purchase. If you wait for the DCS sale you can even pick it up cheap. The latest update seems to have the instrument needles responding very well. A nice AFM too. I love flying it. -
Thanks for the input Folks, I'll give those ideas a try. Thanks again.

Hi Folks, OK so I have managed to sort out the "View wont zoom in/out" trackir duel function allocation problem with the Su25/Su25T. Ive managed to get the view zooming in/out with the Su25T but the view is still to close. When you zoom right back it does not go back far enough. Does anybody know if there is a view point max number in the files somewhere I can change to get the view to zoom back further? Ive had a look on the net and cant see anything and had a look through the files. Im not looking to change the view parameters just move the whole thing back. Ive tried it with trackir and without just in case that was the problem but still get the same thing. The view is right up against the bottom of the hud when the sim starts and when you move the view back as far as it goes its like your chin is a couple of inches from the instruments. It will zoom in and out but the whole zoom in/out box is too close? Many thanks for any help. Graham.
