Thanks for your input folks. After having done a bit more research it seems to be best to wait for the next gen cards/cpu's rather than upgrade now. Going to focus on a bit of overclocking this weekend. Cheers.

Hi Folks, Has anyone upgraded from a 1080 to a 1080 TI? What sort of performance increase have you seen with DCS? I've just gone Oculus VR. My 1080 is using the full 8GB and running at about 80% to 90% with occasional spikes to 100%. Specs:- Intel Haswell i7 4770k CPU 3.5GHz (OC 4.1GHz), Asus Gryphon Z87 Motherboard, 32GB Corsair Vengeance LP DDR3 1600MHz RAM, EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 SC Gaming 8 GB GDDR5X PCI Express 3 Graphics Card. Yes I have got my water on low. I can try it on a higher setting tomorrow eve. Hopefully get some IFR flying in the Mig 21 in..... Many thanks for the info.

Hi Folks, I'm getting a really bad flicker above the clouds when it is on setting 10 ie thick cloud cover. It happens about every 5 seconds. The clouds dont flicker but the sky above them does. Does anybody else get this problem? Thanks.

slipstream21 I can vouch for everything said about Helicopter flying with my new jetseat. Ive just had some great evenings off work with it. It really comes into its own with the Huey. You can even tell which door gunner has opened up without looking. Makes things much more immersive.

Hi Folks, I have'nt had the Mig21 out of the hangar for a little while so decided to do some touch & go's last night. It feels like your trying to take off on and old disused runway compaired to other aircraft in DCS world. I was also blowing quite a few tyres as well, even though I was watching the speed. Hi folks, I was doing touch and goes in the F-5 last evening and cant help but notice the A/C is still a bit nose heavy on rotation. It seems to be the same as the F86 was until recently. The take off behavour in the F86 is now a lot more controlable. I hope the F5 gets the same Belsimtek love soon. Nice with the landing light now showing on the runway. Luv your products. Cheers. Hi Folks, I was very excited today to get my JetSeat. It is all working but I'm getting confused about the sofware. Am I right that you MUST have the 'JetSeat control panel' installed? Then for DCS you need to have 'Sim shaker for aviators' installed? Is this all I need for DCS? I also use X plane 10, ROF and BOS, are these supported? I tried X plane 10 but the seat did nothing. Do I need to install 'Sim shaker wings'? I there a deeper explanation of what the sliders do anywhere? Thanks for any help. Graham.

Hi Folks, Ive only just started to have a look at CA and am stuck on Driver view zooming. I want to drive a UAZ jeep about but my driver view is right up by the hands on the steering wheel. Ive looked through the controls menu and tried every thing but I cant zoom view back? Whats the trick? How do I zoom out/change the FOV? Thanks.

*******(Have got this working now. I'm sure I have deleted the Savegames file a couple of times and rebuilt it but it worked this morning. Many thanks to anyone who tried to help. Enjoy the BestAirfields.Mis file :))******** Ive tried all the sugestions here and still cant get the only two mods I use to work (Ranger's objects and airfield equipment). Even tried a manual install. It just does not see them in the saved games folder. Lets hope some one comes up with an easy way to add mods. Hi Folks, Just to make sure I got this right....You just put this code (above) in to the aircraft LUA file and you can land the F5 on the carrier? Is it the LUA file in 'Mods' file that it goes in to? This would be really good to play with on my next days off if it works? Anybody tested this in 2.1.1?

Hi Folks, I've put together a small mission where I have to follow an AI Huey to an LZ. On the way we take some ground fire. The problem is that I cant get the AI to open the side doors and have the door gunners fire. I've tried adjusting the ROE in ME but still nothing. Anybody know how to do this? Many thanks. Graham.

Avernus you are a star!!!! You have found the magic number. I can now move my view back far enough to get comfortable. I would never have found that Many thanks for your Help. I'm going to start experimenting with some of those Defaultfighterplayer numbers to see if I can eliminate the slight 'fish eye' effect as I'm using X3 monitors. Hi majapahit, I had seen this method and tried it before. I've tried it again exactly as you have described and still my A10C view will not go back any further than default. Many thanks for trying to help. Does anybody know the solution? How can I make my FOV go back further than default? Is there a new magic number somewhere for the A10c? ie to change the Mig 21 FOV I can go to:- DCS World\Mods\aircraft\MiG-21BIS\Entry\03_Views.lua Line 10: CameraViewAngleLimits and change it.

Hi derfritz, I apologize I don't think I have explained my problem very clearly. I'm used to being able to change a simple number in the view's lua file's to be able to increase the FOV to be able to move further back from the instrument panel ie:- [1] = {-- player slot 1 CockpitLocalPoint = {3.188000,0.390000,0.000000}, CameraViewAngleLimits = {20.000000,120.000000}, CameraAngleRestriction = {false,60.000000,0.400000}, CameraAngleLimits = {140.000000,-65.000000,90.000000}, EyePoint = {0.090000,0.000000,0.000000}, limits_6DOF = {x = {-0.020000,0.350000},y ={-0.150000,0.165000},z = {-0.170000,0.170000},roll = 90.000000}, Here I would change the CameraViewAngleLimits (120) to do this. Everything has changed and I don't now know where this number is anymore or how it works? Many thanks.

Hi Folks, I banged my head for a couple of hours last night attempting to increase the FOV (move view back) on the A10C. None of the 'old' ways of doing this work and I must have tried them all. Does anybody know where the number is to increase the FOV in this day and age? Its been a little while since I've flown it and I feel to close to the instruments. Many thanks.

*****Ignore this post - extension working fine - problem was with the joystick.******** I got my extension today but cant get it to work. When I press the trigger ALL the buttons light up. No reaction to the other buttons.
