Another good resource for the G model, AFI11-404.
-
Just days late! Is there a mailing list to get info onto for info prior to the competitions?

Does anyone really know how this is done with Russian air forces? I think I know how it's done with the USAF. -

Lock-On's Current Multiplayer State

In LOMAC I fly guns only due to the missile modeling. I fly heaters also, but most people only want guns or BVR. -

Optimum maneuvering speeds for missile evasion?
centermass replied to tmdgm's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Were you getting this range information from sensors or from your estimation, what was the aspect? I don't remember seeing aircraft from 20 miles in LOMAC, but most of my dogfights start around 10 to 15 miles out. I do think it is easier to spot them in the game, when they are above the horizon, but not that much easier. A lot of spotting an aircraft depends how you are looking at it. If your looking strait at the nose then you will not see it until it is closer, if your looking at the spine ( strait down from the top) then you will be able to see it from farther out. -
You need to set it as a 1 key press not 2 and have the second "action" to be "NULL". I have CH pedals and use the toe brake by using the recording key strokes feature. I'll post a screen shot later.

How do you know this to be true? -

HAHA. ;) Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it, but I doubt he will fly LOMAC. I've been trying to get him to fly LOMAC and IL2. Too bad though he is a good stick and knows BFM extremely well. -

I'm interested but doubt that I will travel to Europe for it. Congrats RvE. Too bad this is not a world wide competition. :pilotfly: -
HAHA that is awesome!

Complete reinstall fixed it.
-
Yup, but they say they are going to fix it. Here's to hoping.

Thanks for moving to the correct forum. I have always had virtual drives, I have Alcohol 120 virtual drives. Uninstalling PowerISO did not fix anything. Anyone got any ideas?
-
I get this error when trying to run my game. I think this was caused by installing PowerISO. Removing PowerISO does not fix. The errors in the support section appear to concern authentication by downloaded versions of the game. My version is a CD-ROM version. I tried repairing my install and that did not work. Has anyone been through this before?

The G model AS so excellently provided information for is in need of correction. I really hope it is fixed. One thing I'll add is that the more G you pull, over time throughout a career. The more G you can tolerate. Sooo, a fighter pilot is going to be able to sustain and endure more and higher G than a civilian. Since the game is not modeling civilian pilots I hope the devs take this into account. Regards, Centermass -
I hope we will get that patch soon to fix missiles and G modeling. I like the fact that this BS is a stand alone. I'm interested to see how you guys like it. :)

Su-25t Does not Contrail? (56k Warn)
centermass replied to 3Sqn_Fudd's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Wow How did you get the A-10 up that high. I get it over 5k and it does not want to do shit! -
I've seen where the "betas" have indicated the missiles and G modeling are a problem and they are going to fix them the upcoming patch.
-
Also missiles are usually defeated after they have burned up their motor. So any maneuvering in the vertical after motor burn out will drastically reduce the ability of that missile.

Very nice video.

This all depends on what the firing jet and the target jet are doing in regards to speed and altitude and aspect. You can be 5 miles back at 0 aspect and if a jet has 700 knts and you have 300 that target may get away.
