Altough it would be better to update the new file with old code instead, otherwise you dont get the new keybindings, right? Edit: Also yes some of the keys don't work in the new system. Like landing/taxi lights, Nav lights ect.

I've flown the mig-21 for a couple of hours now and there is definitely a smoke trail. Its just more... "refined" now. More realisitc. Same for the F4 I saw.

Yep, noticed that aswell! I really felt to difficult to get the thing to spin before. Im gonna steal your thread real quick I hope thats okey. Anybody els having problems with the new keymapping system? Every button is a toggle buton now if I understand it correctly, why? Some wanted buttons for each state, some wanted TMHog binary-state (the same?) but this system I dont understand. Not trying to be a dick, I just don't get it. I cant even bind my flaps to anything but the keyboard.

I switched to standalone a year ago and I haven't looked back. I think the question to ask is the opposite. Is there any benefits to using steam version? The sales would be one answer but it would seem that ED has more frequent and better sales (I might be wrong?). The benefits as I see them: *No need for steam to actually run DCS. *Steam doesnt get ED money for being in the way. (principle) *Steam-key delay ect. ect.

My whole reason for taking part in this is the more difficult setting, and hence the immersion. Needing more coordination, communication ect. If I'd wanted unlimited life, 10 sec startup and taxitakefoff, I'd join ANY other server. However I support whatever you decide

LNS and Cobra are probably the last people we should be crossed with. Great product and honesty. The only two things you need. Could it be handled better? Yes, but that has been explained. Al tough it seems all the delays ect. are getting a bit on the communities nervs and hence the backlash. The cumulative delays in time of release delays, counting all ED and 3rd party products has probably reached a decade now (early access, beta, alpha and all that jazz doesn't count.) I JOKE! kinda... I still get where those people are comming from... Still, LNS are the last people that deserve the hate!

Finally, some people making some sense in here. Getting kinda tireing with all the mig-23 whining. Don't get me wrong. If it is a mig23 I'll buy it. The mig-21 is my favourite plane in DCS right now and I learned to love it through LNS and I have no doubt that a newer one would also be awesome. No need to repeat what you guys so logically and beautifully wrote on the previous page.

Hi! No. I was referring to about 90% of your post. I did not misread. I might have been a bit harsh calling it arbitrary but I find it... annoying that you would be disappointed just because you don't get your specific frame. For whatever reason. Even if you are right and you get a Mig-23 or 25 , your post would still be kinda arbitrary. I don't want to be a dick or start an argument so... I'll just leave it at that. Edit: A Yak-38 would indeed be cool.
