  1. Okay, I figured out the problem. As I initially suspected, it was due to Pilot error :music_whistling: It turned out I had been using the wrong format for putting the numbers into Rho and Theta. Anyways, it seems to be working just fine now. Thank you both for trying to help me though.
  2. I am on the stable branch. I don't understand it. I am understanding correctly that it should direct me 20NM to the south of the tacan station, right? But, nope, it just points in the direction of the station itself. I did a bit more testing, I seemingly got it to work correctly on the persian gulf map, but two other attempts did the same thing of just pointing me at the station.
  3. Hi man... No it's not the campaign, just the navigation training mission. I get the same results if I create a fast mission... I must be doing something wrong, but it's driving me mad trying to figure it out lol :joystick:
  4. Howdy folks, So, I'm doing the training missions for the Mirage and up to the one where it's teaching offset with the tacan, but it seems like I always end up in the wrong place, or perhaps I have the wrong understanding of how it works... So, like it tells me I follow these steps: Set tacan to 44X and on T/R Set Theta to the bearing of 180 Set Rho to 20NM Set the HSI in Vad mode I then turn the aircraft to steer towards the bearing that the thick needle on the HSI points to... And this is where I am either doing something wrong or understanding incorrectly, because this seems to just take me directly to the tacan station, whereas in my understanding it should be directing me on a bearing of 180 FROM the station and 20NM miles away. Can anyone explain to me what I'm doing wrong? Regards, LR.
  5. Thanks skull, that did the job  and thank you once again for this great mod :)
  6. Hi Skull, I'm having a small issue with your mod, when I install it with Mudspike's mod it overrides the texture on the gun sight on the "No Hand Hold" part, any idea how to sort it?
  7. Excellent update, very informative. Others have said it before but having spent a good amount of time with the Mig-21 I know we're in good hands for this one and will be worth the wait
  8. Amazing job skull, can't wait to try it out.
  9. Everything looks so awesome. can't wait :D
  10. Beautiful, well done yoyo
  11. Very nice dude. I'm a sucker for striped camos and this one is beautiful
  12. He means QFE I think. This is a DCS World issue, not a bug with the Mig-15
  13. Excellent guide. Thank you
  14. Ahh, ok. Thanks.
  15. There is a problem with the UV and panel lighting, if you turn both the UV lighting to full and then turn on the panel lighting you lose the UV lights.
  16. Hmm wasn't going to buy this module but after seeing people praise it I may have to give it a shot ;)
  17. @Sgt_Baker, I've been trying your app out the last few days, have to say I'm very impressed, and will definitely buy the full version. I have run into an issue though, if I have the frame rate set to anything other than full the TGP always appears greyed out? Any ideas?
  18. These are great, thank you :D
  19. I agree, they're distracting... When looking for targets my eyes keep being drawn to them xD maybe someone will make a clean canopy mod at some point like happened with the Mig-21.
  20. Just managed six landings in a row so I think I'm getting the hang of it now, granted, I did bounce a little on some of them and dipped a wing on one but some improvement is better than none :D The key for me was making sure it's a three point landing and crotching the stick immediately to keep the tail down.
  21. I agree with much of what you say, but for me taking off isn't really an issue, but I am struggling with touch down and rollout after landing.
  22. How do you set it up in the editor for starting on an open field?
  23. Try applying a lot of right rudder before you advance the throttle and keep it there til you pick up some speed, then the rudder is a lot more responsive, the plane is very controlable during the takeoff roll once you get used to it.
  24. Sounds like you're doing every thing right... check this thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=129347 and see the startup tutorial video by Wags see if you got everything down.
  25. Well if you're serious about flying these WW2 aircraft then I strongly recommend some rudder pedals, you can get decent ones for a reasonable price these days.
