  1. Later when all the obvious bugs will be gone? lol yeah, ok. I recently used a free trial of the A8 which is a fully released product only to find that most of the air to ground ordnance is not working correctly... It does seem odd to not have the trial there from the start, but whatever, it's their product and their decision. I'm ok to wait until a free trial for the Mosquito is available, and if necessary to wait until it is fully finished.
  2. From Wikipedia: Early in the war, Marat Tischenko, head of the Mil design bureau visited Afghanistan to see what the troops thought of his helicopters, and gunship crews put on several displays for him. They even demonstrated maneuvers, such as barrel rolls, which design engineers considered impossible. An astounded Tischenko commented, "I thought I knew what my helicopters could do, now I'm not so sure!"
  3. Are HE rounds for cannon planned? I don't recall seeing that anywhere.
  4. It felt a bit twitchy for me at low speeds at first, too. I have a 7cm extension and I tried using curves and reducing the y saturation on pitch and roll and still couldn't find a setting I was happy with. I ended up going back to full linear on all axis and just practiced nothing but hovering slowly around taxiways and runways without any of the AP channels enabled and after a while it just seemed to click with me and now it almost feels like I can control it with my mind lol.
  5. Nice landing! Excellent video, very informative.
  6. Thanks for this. I flipped this switch when I've been doing cold starts and wondering why things were messed up vs doing a hot start... And now I know why xD
  7. The Hind is amazing. I haven't got around to landing practice yet. Thanks for the notes!
  8. @ataribaby Yep, you are right. I just realised this after watching Growling Sidewinders ATGM video on YouTube.
  9. The binding for me only works to turn the menu commands off. To turn on only works with a keyboard command like clayvt says.
  10. Good stuff. Can't wait to try this out for myself.
  11. I tried this, as well but unfortunately for me it didn't work, the freezing persists.
  12. I seem to be having a problem getting FFB to work correctly with this module... I'm using a MSFFB2 and for some reason I cannot get the trimmer to work at all, the stick always returns to center and doesn't set the new position and doesn't change the position either when I look at the controls position with Rctrl+Enter. I've had a browse around and tried some of the solutions such as swapping the axis in ffb tune and double checking I have the correct setting in the special options selected, but no joy... I'm assuming I'm missing something obvious, but idk. I don't think it's my stick as it works perfectly fine in all other modules... Any help is appreciated. Edit: I'm not sure how, but the issue seems to be fixed... after a system reboot it appeared to be working as normal.
  13. I have experienced this crash today, too. For me it was using VR, but at the same place, zooming in on the INS panel.
  14. Is the update Open beta or on the Stable version? Can't seem to get DCS to update on mine (Stable) ?
  15. No, the command to turn on/off radar seems to be unavailable, but I forced it on through the advanced waypoint options and he was showing up on my RWR, so I assume it was working.
  16. Hi, all. Sorry if this has been asked before, I had a quick scan and couldn't see anything... Unless I'm blind. (Possible) So, I've been trying out random BVR fights in the editor and I've noticed my AI fellows don't seem to be using their BVR missiles. I give them the order to engage bandits and instead of trying to use their Fox 1s or 3s they just dive straight in with fox 2s. Is their behaviour with the F/A-18 just not fully implemented yet?
  17. To be honest with you, it's fine as it is. It was simply a case of me not listening properly and not reading the manual even though it totally does suggest doing that... It's a fun aircraft though, and I'm really enjoying the learning process, even if my own stupidity is holding me back at times haha. @xXmustangXx See page 153 of the manual. - Set the desired Tacan code, for example 44X and be sure to set it to T/R. - Set the HSI to tacan mode and confirm that the thick needle points to the desired station - Go into Theta mode and input your desired offset bearing from the station... This is the part where I screwed up, so be sure that the thick needle points to your desired bearing. - Go to Rho mode and input the desired distance from the station... I screwed this up also as I didn't notice it should be in 4 digit decimal. So 001.0 would be 1NM and 020.0 Would be 20NM - Finally, go into the VAD mode and follow the thick needle.
