  1. It was also a matter of resources. The access to high quality materials was, well, limited. Take the fuel quality for example. German aviation fuel was far inferior octane wise afaik. Higher octance grades enabled higher boost w/o detonating the engines. Efforts were being made to reach a higher fuel quality with synthetic fuel, but the refineries got bombed.

    Release??

  3. Having served a couple of years back in the corresponding control and reporting centre for this mission, I can assure you that you won't find any "lack of professionalism", especially when missions are conducted over densely populated areas. As rangi stated correctly, the Learjet was an aircraft of the GFD, a company that provides aerial targets for interception training. A possible collision scenario could be a simulated comms fail of the learjet with the EF having to visually ID the contact, thus getting up close with the LJ.
  4. ^ :megalol: DCS- Farming module incoming (The Mig-15 was called tractor of the skies for a reason)
  5. Since the title doesn't say Best and Worst Looking " Fighter" Cockpits;) my fave: Back in the good old days, when pilots were actually flying their planes and engineers kept em from exploding: Boeing KC-97/ (B-29)... All those things that needed to be managed: 4 engines needed to be nursed, RPM, manifold press, fuel press, torque, mixture, oil qty; press; temp, cowl flaps, generators, fuel pumps and balance, cabin pressure... those were the days :D
  6. So it's Klinsmann vs Loew then, Master vs Disciple. Loew needs to rethink his lineup imho, it always seems that he reacts instead of acting.

    Release??

Thanks for the news! I guess it will be hard to keep the child in me silent for the coming days, but it'll be worth the wait! The Pilots Flight Operating Instructions will keep me busy at least
