  1. Now this is what I expected, when I saw they changed the eula. I saw somebody was aksing for this possibility. No idea how to quote the answer: DaOlaf: "Sorry for possibly multiple asked questions.   2. Just wait for DCS2.5. You maybe noticed that the performance on nevada is much better with modern GPUs. The same stabil performance will come into the caucasus too. So, be patient.
  3. The vast majority of movies were shown in 24fps, thats right. But you really cannot suggest there is not problem with it. Maybe dozens of years ago, when the TVs were way smaller and the resolutions way lower, THEN it wasnt a problem, because big muddy pixels move just a few cm from frame to another. Nowadays with 50'' TV (and above) and HD resolution (and above) the problem is getting bigger with it. A lot of people, as I do, really hate the juddering in movies. I mean the resolution is gettig higher and higher but they are not able to make blurays with 60fps or a least 48fps. Thats why the most TVs have frame interpolation integrated. So it should be considered how big the monitor or TV is, which MrFies uses. Another thing is the difference between the number of rendered pictures and the frequency of the monitor panel (input). If the monitor is big enough, you will see interferences between for example 55fps out of the graphic card into the 60hz panel. These 5fps can be really annoying. And using a headtracker reinforces this juddering once again. So i totally agree with MrFies that 30-40fps can be too low in some cases.
  4. Ich liebe beide. Wenn man sich für die ollen Kisten interessiert, sollte man auch bei beiden zugreifen. Da bin ich mir sicher. Die Frage ist nur obs den Vollpreis wert ist oder man lieber auf einen Sale warten sollte. Sie trudelt nicht soo schnell. Wenn man zu eng in die Kurve geht, vibriert sie kurz und rollt zur Seite, was einen dann etwas aus der Kurve wirft und die Jagd arg erschwert. Aber sie fängt sich auch gleich wieder. Wenn du sofort was für den Dogfight suchst, wäre die Messerschmidt besser, da sie sehr kurvenstabil ist. Wenn aber die Normandykarte da ist, würde ich für die Bomberjagd eher die Dora nehmen. Sie ist schneller und hat viel mehr Muni an Bord. Perfekt für Hit and Run gegen die B17. Erich Brunotte kritisierte das Flugverhalten übrigens auch in dem Interview auf Youtube. Wobei ich nicht genau weiß, ob er es mit der Anton vergleicht oder selber die Dora flog. Hier falls du es noch net kennst:
  5. Das Handling der 190er wurde vorhin angesprochen. Laut einiger Piloten, die sich in Dokus äußerten, sollte die FW 190 A tatsächlich wendiger sein als die Messerschmidt. Da frage ich mich warum die Dora so zickig in den Kurven ist, wenn sie doch eine "Weiterentwicklung" der Anton sein soll.
  6. Ich glaube die könnte in 2.0 eingebunden werden. 2.0 soll wohl schon im Stande sein, mehrere Karten zu verwalten, solange die Karten selbst die gleiche Engine, also T4, haben.
  7. The frequency depends on the spectators speed and yes also on the number of reflective surfaces. But these surfaces reflect the light in many many different directions. No all in the direction of the spectator. Only very few. So the chance to "hit" a reflection while flying over a parking area is not that big, I guess.
  8. I really like this effect. Only the frequency should be a little lower. So fewer flashes per time. Another thing I saw is the slow movement of water. If you use time lapse while looking on water, it looks better.
  9. As I know, you can combine anything. You can invade the normandy with F-15C and you can rush Las Vegas with Tiger tanks.
  10. The performance is really better now. Everything on max, even view range, and I never get below 60fps. Not even with mustangs cloud mod.

  13. You should cancel the idea of F-15C or A-10A. If you like the low simulation level of such modules get flaming cliffs. More content for your money. A-10C is one of the oldest modules and still one of the best. I highley can recommend it for those who like high fidelity technologies and weapons (compared to other modules). This modules is less about flying. Its more about handling weapons and blowing something up ;) F5E is the opposite. Less technology and weapon handling but much more flying. No fly-by-wire or something. You will have much more feeling for the plane itself. Both are awesome in their own way. Did you think about WW2 planes?
  14. Dont know much about LUAs. The Problem is, you need two different sets of boundaries. A small for closed canopy and a wider for opened canopy. These boundaries need switch by opening and closing. I think you really need a little more knowledge about programming to do this.
  15. Of course I know how to move the head. I mean the head shouldnt stop, where the glas of the canopy would be, when its closed. When the canopy is open, the head should be movable beyond this barrier.
  16. hi guys, did somebody already think about leaning out of the cockpit? I guess it would be an easy to implement function and very useful for taxiing with WW2 planes. And by the way it could raise the immersion.
  17. Um der Haftreibung ein für alle mal richtig beizukommen, empfehle ich das hier: Vielleicht wurde es auch schon in anderen Foren erwähnt. Die Verlängerung hilft zwar aber nur zeitweilig, da das Kugelgelenk ja aus Plastik ist und in der Werksausstattung einem vergleichsweise hohen Verschleiß unterliegt. Einige Kanten sind net sauber verarbeitet und die Schmiere ist zu dünn. Daher wäre das Säubern, Schleifen und erneute Schmieren mit einem schön dicken Schmierfett langlebiger. Am besten noch dicker und pastöser, als das Zeuch, welches im Video benutzt wird. Was das Entfernen der Feder angeht, bin ich sehr skeptisch. Die Feder entlastet das Kugelgelenk indem sie den Stick hoch drückt. Das ist eher ein Nebeneffekt aber er sorgt dafür dass Kugel und Pfanne weniger stark aufeinander drücken. Ohne die Feder könnte der Verschleiß langfristig höher sein. Ach Codawa, wenn du ein Video einfügen willst, füge nur die Video-ID ein und nicht den ganzen Link. Also nur das, was nach dem "=" steht.
  18. If you have problems with the trees then keep all files in "c:\...\DCS World\Mods\terrains\CaucasusBase\Structures\High\EDM" as original. The easiest way to do so: 1 restore the original files via repair or deactivate the mod via JSGME or whatever you use. 2 unpack the mod somewhere else. Not into the main folder. 3 get into this folder, navigate to "Mods\terrains\CaucasusBase" and delete the folder named "structures" 4 copy over the remaining files into the main folder. Now you should have tree shadows again and the trees look a little strange with their color and brightness fluctuation, as the originals do look. But no more problems with missing trees. I cant do anything more because I am not a programmer. Seems like everything else is up to 2.5. Lets hope it will come soon as possible.

  20. Hi guys, I would like to bring up something, what catched my eye several times, when new screenshots of the normandy map were released. And yes, I know its not finished yet and everything is subject to change but I like to mention it anyway. I think on the most screenshots something is wrong with the brightness of objects and ground textures. The trees are too bright and the ground is too dark. It should be the other way around. If you take a look on normandy region or any other region inside the temperate zone via google maps or photos, you can see that. The trees are a darker then the ground. I just retouched one of the screenshots, which were released a few weeks ago. Its not accurate, because I made it with photoshop in a few minutes but it shows, what I mean. The picture with the bright trees is the original.

  23. Bought a GTX1070 as well. I think on caucasus map no card runs perfectly on max details. But with the new format this will change. Over vegas I have at least 60 fps on max details at any time and any place. Average 75-80fps. And with a headtracker its much more important to have 60fps than for any other game. Its important to have this stable performance to avoid stuttering while panning or turning your head. In the most benchmarks and gameplays the GTX1070 has something about 30% more performance than GTX1060. So I prefer the GTX 1070.

  25. I assume if you have good performance over the downtown of Vegas, you probably will have good performance on entire normandy map. The object density might be the biggest performance killer and I dont think this density is higher on any place of the normandy map than over Vegas.
