  1. But how ? I thought it`s just simple Radar Warning Reciever, and Mavs don`t emit anything. And my RMR or MWS doesn`t warn me about manpad launch or any other heatseeker launches. EDIT: Thanks for replys, kontiuka, i haven`t even seen your post before my reply :D Why then fighters doesn`t have mws for heatseekers? The mws must have very short range?
  2. RWR - Friendly missiles How come my RWR gives me missile warning when my wingman is launching Mavverick? Does RWR knows that via datalink or it`s some kind of bug?
  3. In A10C (I`m not sure for other modules) when we order our AI wingman to attack a target we can specify which weapon to use, and direction of the attack - and that`s great. But as we all know the AI is dumb - so when, for example - we`re ordering the wingman to attack for example ZU23 with bombs, he happily commits suicidal bombing dive straight at AAA barrels... We could fix the problem by spcifying a hard deck for the attack ( the altitude he can`t go beyond, no matter what) - so he would relase his bombs above threat`s range. He can miss but won`t be shot down by aaa/manpads . P.S. If the subject was discussed before - sorry - i couldn`t find it by the search function.
  4. Yes it is - it works for Huey (there are both the new one, and the old cargo camera) Got the same problem with Mi 8, i play without it.
  5. I ignore ATC entirely. In DCSW ATS is almost nonexistent, and useless and the airports are empty most of the times, so why bother? It goes the same for other planes offcourse, especially for choppers. The same goes for external lights.
  6. Can`t agree more.
  7. Great idea, but i don`t think, we could place cargoes on ships in ME :/ Edit: But what if we place the cargoes on ships (by helicopters slings) in PREPARE MISSION mode? I`ll have to try that....
  8. As a Pole i feel in duty to support this thread.
  9. There`s a polish proverb that says about a "russian month" - anyway, in polish a "russian month" means "half a year" or "a very long time" :) . If ED says it may be February I`d rather say it would be April. No hard feelings anyway. DCS is getting better and better every month, even without EDGE.
  10. Thank for update, that`s great news :] We`re gonna really need something like cargo cam - so we could place cargo on the spot we choose :)
  11. Maybe it has something to do with the EDGE? I mean they will look good in EDGE, but the new flares are incorporated now, and that`s why the borked look? edit: Sorry Cibit - haven`t seen your post
  12. I never won anything .... Sign me in!
  13. Thanks, Tango! Just wanna say that I`m (and i think the rest of us) are totally aware that it`s DCS World problem, and has nothing to do with MiG21Bis. :) It`s just this discussion must have returned when the first DCS fildelity fastmover appeared..
  14. Thank you! So the Batumi outer marker must be under water then ...
  15. Citation from Steel Beasts Pro manual: "If you don`t need glasses it is quite possible to spot a moving tank at distanses up to 300m with the naked eye.(...) At 3000 meters, a typical tank would subtend an angleof about 0,057degrees(about 1mil).To Make that tank appear as just a single pixel on your monitor at a resolution of 1600x1200 means that the field of view must be reduced to about 90degrees, far short of a human`s 170 degree FOV, and still the tank would appear as a single dot. Concersely, if you want a natural field of view of 180 degrees, the tank would be smaller than a single pixel at distances above just 1590 meters " Anyone against smart scaling? (till we have 80 000 x 80 000 pixels gpu/monitors) ?
  16. Airport beacons/markers Thanks a lot for your answers! I have another question, coulnd`t find answers in the manual. How come the inner/outer markers work, if neither of my radio equipment is not tuned on the particular airport? Dothey work on some 'guard' freq? And another 'more DCS World' question: How the Batumi outer marker works - is it U-Marker, under the sea? :D
  17. Engine reheat question Is there different reheat levels depending on throttle movement - more throttle - more power? Or it is just "reheat on/off" ? I`m not speaking about the normal/emergency reheat. Thanks!
  18. Thanks! Thanks! I didn`t knew BLC looses lift od idle.. It should be noted in the manual with big,red letters. Maybe that`s why I`m landing 20% of times without damaging the AC...
  19. I`ve noticed that the sound of locking the wheels is always the same, no matter if all the gears are retracting or not. For example - during my fumbled attempt to land I`ve broken the nosewheel which can`t retract - i I`ve aborted the landing - during retracting the gear I hear 'thump' , 'thump' , 'thump' for all three wheels - when the nosewheel doesn`t even tries to retract. The same goes for the main wheels also. As far is i know the "thump" sound is an important clue for RL pilots. :smartass:
  20. That does mean you don`t get ANY warning when you get fuel leaked from the bird  And you`re going to have a bad time trying to relight the engine... Good job MiG! :D
  21. Thanks! I hope they will. I wish i had the visor in my Huey! :pilotfly: Flashlight , visors, are there rally canopy icing effects ?! Really, really good job ! The module fidelify is best of all modules/ flight sims so far! (correct me if I`m wrong...) So Leatherneck, once again BIG THANKS, I`m amazed !
  22. Haha! I almost did the same, but then I remembered the gear handle has a guard - so I starded searching the cockpit again - found the proper one! ;)
  23. Thank`s it`s very informative. Actually i think my post was a little extragerated. Why 0 throttle is bad for diving? When i`m diving fot attack run I`m setting the throtle to 0, and opening speed brakes - it gives me more time to aim. Before exiting dive give throttle 100% (it takes some time for engines to spool up),closing brake and pulling on the stick. :pilotfly:
  24. I don`t knowi but if doesn`t seem to realistic that any engine is able to opererate long peroids of time at full load. And that`s how I fly A10 - at most situations (except refuelling, taxiing, refuelling, and situations requiring maintaining given speed) i fly 0%(diving) or 100%(climbing/cruising) throttle. And nothing wrong happens with the engines... :music_whistling: Are they really so reliable?
  25. You can also double click mouse button 3 (usually a scroll wheel) to toggle mouse view/cursor .
