old x52 where well made by Saitek, now mad-catz use the name to sell crap. well, is ok if you sell crap at crap prices and support the crap like crap requires, Also users must be crap aware by the company. Nex tome I have: old x52 that give years of service but is very old, a open x-65 that have bad electronics and crapy asambly, a x52 pro that I buy because there was nothing else.....only one year and is a disaster, a x55 the I find last weak at a hardware store that was going broke and I pay 80% less :P I am waiting my VKB stuff, but now y must use the thing I hate. (Did I get married whit Saitek?)

I am a gamer and I use trackball. For computer use: Is one way trip, first day you hate it, second day so so, 3 day you don't understand how was your life before. And I was able to convert several gamers and IT coworkers too. TIP: thumb trackball only.

Here things are 100% more $ and in US, is an inmoral amount of money for this things. I am really angry at cheap products, and no spare parts. That's why I love VKB. Modular Escalable Spare parts I hope they can go global and put the crap makers out of the picture.

I buy a used monitor for that price :P The integration of tablet or smartphones is very important, from extra sim controls or access the joy config and change parameters on the fly :), and also use the already features of those devices like voice control. A dock in an hotas throttle whit extra controls can make a real diference. And we can never say : I did not take your call because I was on DCS :P

My glock and my HK usp plastic frame is well made :) But I notice a much lower quality on many other brands like Logitech and others. Saitek is ready for be displaced, and the sonner the better.

saitek quality control is bad. my first x52 years......after madcatz, my x65f 7 moths......it was bad assambly......metal cuting wires......disaster assambly I get a x52 pro becouees I want to get a custom one using x65 metal parts. Afte half year (I use t a lot) it don ge neear the old x52..... Bewar of arcade simulator on cheap (parts) joys.....(that can $$$$) Get yourself a favor, buy quality, and try to get something that can get spare parts. The time and mony you lose becouse poor joystick is a lot. Or buy somthing now and plan your final solution using custom joys.

We need a solution. how many hours you have lost becouse of bad desing or bad implemented simulation hardware. We are hostages, becouse simulation dont sell like COD so every time a new device came all go look, if saitek desings a fine product, but the asambly line cut cables durind the asambly..... is crap many people make they own devices, and thats becouse our decision and impresions on this type of hardware is very personal. An also becouse we dont have many devices on the market.

In some countrys 200/300 us joystick is a obsene amout of mony, and you end up whit plastic parts, no spare parts, and if you use a lot they fail. First how is the gaming situation today: I fly a lot of arcade and pro simulators, arcade are a torture for EJ x52. Don’t want to put a Logitech 3d for my janes ww2 fighters or warthunder. What we need is a modular standar lets call it layers and can be detached for upgrade//dwongrade/repaIR Layer 1 : stick (can have more layers) Layer 2 : metal/bearings/etc Layers 3: the electronics Optional layers: user expirence /base/arm support open for more devices (like smartphone on a trotle dock, can give voice control? Use touch screen like switch panel or instrument, and the possibility to hacept incomng call?) Dual electronics for fault tolerance or dual firmware Onboard device operation log (can report an intermittent conection with a button....) ALL That will give upgrade possibility and Donwgrade possibility (want my stick on the cheap layers for arcade torture session) Easy repair How many $ and time have spend on the joystick issues………no More
