Today it says its on sale for $19.99 ? I wonder if the email I just got that says 19.99 is wrong as the normal E-shop still says $29.99? Thanks for some answers as to whats what. Mike

Well I took off last night for the very first time in multiplayer. I guess I broke my landing gear by going to fast before I tried to raise them, and I ended up flying the whole time with gear down. I stayed close to ground and got to the airport, but before I could start my run, I was killed in my cockpit. Felt good to finally get up, but I will raise flaps and gear asap from now on. Lesson learned. Felt so good !!!

Thank You very much !!!

CH combat stick or CH fighter stick.
ctguy1955 replied to RentAcoW's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
My X52 will flash blue lights and stop working and its only 7 months old so I am returning it. I thank you for the info about the fighter stick over the combat one as it has more buttons. I only do WWII planes and while I do like a lot of buttons the more there is the more to break. I would have spent the money on the warthog, but for WWII planes, I think it would be a waste of money. -
Thank You for the heads up with the bottom bubble, I seem to only use the top. "When taking off just hold the right pedal. during the takeoff be cautious with the pedals, don't swerve pedals left and right. Hold the right pedal and watch the ADI arrows. ADI arrow should be kept at the vertical position If your plane want to do Barrel roll on the runway use the left / right split braking. But that only if your plane really want do that. to anticipate this you must control "ball" on ADI. And do not overpull the stick when you want to take off from the runway. Just hold it in position and your plane will take off when reaching the desired speed.' I wish the photo had the full image without the left part being cut off, but I thank You SO MUCH for your help ! My X52 joystick lights up blue and stops working, so I had to switch back to my old usb X36F and X35T for now. I wont be buying anymore Saitek ( madcatz ) products in the future. My old usb saitek is ok, but is very old now but it decent shape. Sure feels different when flying in DCS than the X52

I always pick the DOW or Korea server, and they always have low ping. its disparaging to me to try over and over again in multiplayer, get frustrated, and switch to single player and be able to take off no problem. I know its something im doing wrong. I have messed around with the pedals and their value curves. 30% curve. my x52 hotas has given me nothing but trouble and I am returning it and am now using my usb X35T and x36F, and the feeling is different.

with all assists turned off, and rudder as well, I can take off fine in single player. i hardly am ever able to do so in multi player. WHY ? i try more speed, less speed..... its very frustrating.
-
this is just the last example. I know its not pretty, but i normally do get off the ground and take off fine in the end...when it comes to single player. this is just so discouraging.
-
I can take off fine in single player about 90 percent of the time with no take off help or assists turn on. When I go over to multiplayer, I just cant get off the ground for very long. what the heck is the difference ??????? 90 percent.trk

Im sending my X52 back, its messed up because of driver issues. I just got out my old X35T and X36F and hooked it up to win 8.1 and it works like a charm. Does not feel so bad either. I had tried using a logitech Extreme 3D Pro, and that stick was too tight. When I get my new in the box X-52, I will sell it on craigslist and buy a Warthog or anything but saitek. amiranda, The drivers i downloaded work well, PM me if you would like them.

working on new duel boot os Well I finally was able to figure out how to get a blank hard drive to allow me to install win 8.1 on a new hard drive and I am able to duel boot win 8 os. I only installed the os and my sound card and video drivers and things to make the new area set up so that I could just play DCS World and when I finally finished, I was able to play for hours and had no really bad issues at all. This proves that my original OS just has a lot of stuff going on in the background and at least now when I want to play DCS World, I can finally do it. I am happy that at least I was able to accomplish this and dont have to drive myself nuts anymore spending 10 or 12 hours trying over and over to no avail. The old OS still has the same problems, but it does not matter anymore.

OK, good news !!! I got rid of the madcatz in the temp area, and so far so good. I had some problems with my mini mouse on the x52 making the mouse travel all over the place and it almost seemed at first that the trackir5 software was a problem as when I turned that off the mouse stopped. But then it started doing it with no track ir 5 on. I went into controller panel and did dead zones for the mini mouse and so as of right now everything seems to be ok. I just hope it stays that way. Thank you all for trying to help me !!! **************************************************************************************** well that did not last long. I got to crash the DORA a few times trying to take off and then the X52 joystick started blinking. the 4 lights on top and the three t1-t6 lights on the bottom. The icon is still in in devices and printers and I can right click on game controller settings and that goes on, but nothing happens when I move the joystick buttons, its dead.

Im having the same problem. It does not happen all the time. Funny but when I shut down my TrackIR5 running in the background, the mouse pointer stopped moving. Ive been having so many problems with my X52 drivers and win 8.1

I went into bios and turned off all of the 3.0 ports a long time ago. I just started up the PC this morning and my X52 started working. I got to take off the dora and P-51 a few times and the when it was re-initiating after a crash ( the plane, not the pc ) the same thing that happens all the time is the joystick starts to flash blue over and over and now the icon in the devices and printers is no longer the controller, but the unspecified thing. If I try to restart the computer, I have to unplug the controller from the USB port or it will just do animated circles all day long. I recently noticed that I have madcatz and Saitek drivers on my system, and that the madcatz ones dont work, so I will try to erase them. 4790K.txt

I already did a dcs repair, the hotas is failing because of driver issues, not DCS. I can install the drivers and 98% of the time, it will show a icon in devices and printers. When I click on the icon and go to the control panel, its empty. ( because I have rudder unplugged ) Im at my wits end with the amount of hours and hours I have put into this. Because my 32 bit laptop installed it and worked fine, it leads me to believe that my Win 8.1 system is messed up even though I did a reinstall of that as well, but over the top of existing one. I wish I could install win 8.1 on another hard drive that is empty and just have DCS World in that same hard drive and be able to play it. When I try to install win 10.iso or even win 8, windows has a message that I cant install to that type of HD. I have uploaded photos of what I am going through......

I do not know WHAT I downloaded or did, but now after a month of playing DCS with no problems, I cant get my X52 to enable me to fly anymore. I have spent at least 12 hours or more trying to read everything I could and tried a million things to help. Running cc cleaner and regedit and safemode and reinstalling the drivers over and over. Most of the time, Only the saitek pedals show up on DCS, never the X52. If I do get the driver to go through, and try to restart my pc, I will get a blue screen with the circle and it wont actually restart until I pull the USB plug for the X52 out of the PC. Then I will sometimes have it working in the X52 control panel, where I can see that the joystick is working, and I will go into DCS World and just as I am ready to play the Dora takeoff practice, I pull back on the stick and the blue lights on the joystick start blinking and it stops working. I have a laptop that I can try the joystick on, as that is the only thing I have not tried. I even re-installed Win 8.1 again. I was so frustrated that I almost wiped out my OS system and was going to reinstall everything once again if it would get the DCS world to work once again. I bought the X52, the pedals, and a TrackIR5 because I loved flying DCS world WWII planes so much. Now I just want to fly again. Some drivers are from europe, and I tried them as well, even getting older versions and nothing worked. I dont know if a DXDIAG report would help ? Device Name: CP 1500C Attached: 1 Controller ID: 0x0 Vendor/Product ID: 0x0764, 0x0501 FF Driver: n/a Above shows no x52 driver, I will try to get another one when it does show it. I did not even know that Static meant it is only for show. WOW, that seems like an awful lot of money for something that wont even fly. Thank You all for having a great sense of humor !!!!! PS When I first saw this, I did not see a "SOLD" thing so Thank You to whoever bought this for Me. I would like to donate it to DCS World now, and have someone make it ready to fly. ( I promise not to try and fly it, although I am happy to report that after about 100 attempts, I finally did at 4:00 am take the Dora off for the first time with no rudder or assists ) -
I removed the rudder and flight assist settings and just practiced about 100 crashes and FINALLY I think I have the hang of taking off the Dora. :pilotfly: I have my saved track to prove it as well. Funny thing is, when I went from the 190 to the 109 just to see, I was able to take that off as well. Slow start, and my problem was not enough throttle when I was ready to go up. I went to bed at 4:10AM a very happy Sim Pilot !!!!!!!!!! First time UP.trk

http://www.platinumfighters.com/#!focke-wulf-fw-190d-9/c129j I was thinking I could practice my take offs using this nice simulator. I think it would be very realistic. PS I am going to need the rudder and flight assist boxes checked, (((box with check marks added))) or I wont be able to take off. Thank You for help with this endeavor. I hope it comes with a parachute, as I cant land either...
