I watched the above video and He helped me to figure out that I needed the super charger on to reach the green square in mission 10.

@ 5:18 he changes the ram air switch and gets super charger on.

I have been doing better and better and was on the 10th campaign and I dont know what happened but all of a sudden it said I was dead !!! Now I have to start all the whole thing over again ???? Is there a way to change this ??? ********** EDIT ********* Well I re-did the missions over, and no matter what I do, even hold right shift S {which is not fun to do with the left hand while holding the joystick with right hand) to have my supercharger on.....I try to circle around and gain altitude, and it just seems like it does not want to do it. I have no idea what I am doing, but at least now I have it set up where I wont die. I appreciated the help with that very much.

I went ahead and ordered a X52, as the saitek X36F is jut not cutting it. Thanks for all the help, I appreciate it very much. Im having problems trying to change the skins, I go into mission editor but am too new to understand what the heck to do..... Time will tell.

I am new and totally clueless !!! I downloaded a bunch of skins and put them into the Bazar/liveries/p-51 area, but I have no clue how to get DCS to allow me to change from one skin to another. I see what was written above about true and false but I need some better info as to what it is I can do as I already have the skins and did not think I needed a template or whatever ??? HELP

I have gone onto the DOW website and registered and received an email stating I was accepted to the forum. When I try to log on, it uses my email addy instead of my nickname and does not allow me to log on. I could go days and not try, and go on and it will automatically say I have tried too many times and it wants the DCS thing put in, and even when I do that, I cant ever log on. Ive tried so many different ways. Im lost as to what to do. I also have gone on TS3 and tried to log on and it keeps saying cant log on. I did go to a place and I found a DCA World lobby that had Putzer Newb City. Can anyone give me some advice as to what to do ? The email that was sent to me saying I was approved for the forum... I wrote back and have not gotten any answer.

PR0 files and WHAT to do with them ? I have downloaded many skins and I searched all over and cant figure out where to put the pr0 files ? I bought a X52 and would like to be able to use what you shared !! Thank You for any help or info. I would really like to use some of the skins I downloaded and dont know how to access them. I put them in the right place that they said to put them. bazar/Liveries/p51D but that was all I could do.

I am very new and VERY clueless and need some help !! I could not find ANY software for my Saitek X36F and X35T and the 52 stuff does not see my hardware. I am able to use my hardware with win 8.1 but if I try to go down a runway with a Mustang P-51 and use my left side throttle bottom button with the tips of my fingers to go left and right, it overdoes it and I crash. I know I can pull my stick back to lock the back wheel, but I wonder if I can make the left and right not be so severe ??? Thanks for your help. ALSO....Ive searched and cant find any software for my saitek that will work ??? **************edit************** Too much trouble, I ordered a X52 5/12/15 X52 broke after a few months and Im back to using the X36f and 35T. Seems to work just fine and I am now looking to change the settings so that I can use M1 2 3 as so to have more buttons. M1 for trim, TO and landing, M2 for Nav and m3 for weapons.

I have two Evga 4 gig 680's in SLI OC'ed and soon to be water cooled.

I wish I could find some software that would work with my Saitek X36F. I tried the software for the 52 model, and it would not see the hardware. I just cant afford to upgrade now.

DUMMY !!! ALL my fault. I had erased all of the keyboard side and tried to get the joystick working better. Now Ive uninstalled the main program and the P-51D program and its still missing. I do not know how to get them back ???? At least now I know it was my fault !!!

I downloaded the P51 manual and read it. I am slowly getting things to work better, but many things are just really bad. I have an old Saitek X36F system that my win 8.1 64bit does see, but I cant install the software (tired the X52 one) and even my keyboard seems to be having problems when in certain scenarios. If I am in training and doing the takeoff with help procedure, it gets to a point where it wants me to hit the "W" key, and it does nothing and I end up just taking off and if I crash, I see a big commercial jet and cant hit ESC or do anything to get out of the sim, except CONT ALT DEL. If I am doing the combat mission against another plane, I cant get any F1 - F10 keys to do anything. I end up above my plane and can fire my 50 cals now, where before with another joystick, I could not. Im going to look for a manual for the WCS itself to see if there is one. Thank you for any help and advice, as I sure need it !!! So I just setup the Saitek X36F and this time in the gunfight setup I was able to fire my 50 cals. I cannot get any of my F1 - F10 keys to do anything. I am wondering if there is a pre-setup that I can download for my stick setup ? I cant get the Saitek software to see my setup, but win 8.1 does see it and Im able to do use all of the buttons. When I am in the combat scenario, I cant get any F1 keys to work and if I crash the plane to end the sim, ESC or anything but a control alt delete can help me. I am clueless as to what to do. I downloaded and just read the manual for my new plane, but there was nothing about trouble shooting at all. I know there is a game mode and sim mode, but I cant wrap my head around that either. I was able to download some skins, but dont see where I can change them. Other then the manual I downloaded for my P51, is there a WCS manual ?? I will look now. Thanks for any help you can give me, I really appreciate it.

SO I purchased the P51 on sale and then got rid of all the other mods. I can fly the plane and most things work ok. Im such a newb that I cant land without breaking the prop. I also cannot get many things to work, My joystick setup is not that great but sometimes none of my keyboard keys do anything. Not even escape key. I end up going into task manager and stopping the game and then re-starting it. Its going to take some time for me to work my way though many problems, and even my keyboard has started to mess up. The lights that illuminate the keys stopped working. I will RMA the keyboard soon. If I try to play the dogfighting scenario, I cant shoot any bullets. Oh well, time will tell.

I ended up uninstalling the p-51 and then was able to get into game. I can fly the free russian jet and my joystick works fine, but I cant fly the p-51. It ends up being like watching a video. I know a man who flew them in Korea and I would love to get this up and running on my three screens and have him come over and give it a try. He is in his 80's but sharp as a whistle. I just dont have the money right now to buy the p-51 39 dollar program, but I will eventually if I have to in order to be able to fly it and have Him come over. Thank You for your help. When I fly the sim in 5760 X 1080 with everything on high, its so Awesome !!! ((( This is BF4, not a flight sim )))

Its been a long time sense I last played a Flight Sim. Now that I have a really great PC that has 2 video cards in SLI and a cpu that hits 5.0, Im ready to do something besides BF4 FPS. I downloaded the free game, and the free p51 mustang, and now I cant do anything at all to get out of the p51 and back to the normal game. My joystick is a logitech Extreme 3D and Im not having much luck setting that up either. Back in 1988, I bought every flight sim under the sun for my Amiga 500 !!!
