I can do fine with all of the assists on, but with everything turned off, I can just crash over and over and on Multiplayer, its very frustrating. I was wondering if any of the assists are all turned off on Multiplayer ? Must be.... I even tried to use slow motion by hitting left alt and Z, but it just does not help me. That needle is just all over the place going down the runway !!! Thanks for this subject in forum, I need the help !

I just bought BS2 on sale on Steam today, and while I knew it was going to be someone complicated with a learning curve, Its so much more than I have ever imagined. I can start it up and get it up in the air, but its going to take a long time to learn the systems. Im grateful for the training interactive videos and other help. Thank You for starting this forum, I know I will be back !

I mostly fly alone as well The only places I see are DOW ( 2 servers ) and Korea There may be a few others, but they are flying modern aircraft. I have read some posts about other WWII servers but they never seem to be up. Ive been told its not good to run a server from the same computer that You are playing on ??? I hope things improve soon as its not much fun to always fly alone or no enemies. I also have a question....... Are the flight charistics of a plane the same on a server as when doing single missions ? If I have take off assist on 100 and rudder help checked, will that all be gone on a multiplayer server ??? I can take the dora up on my home puter with assists on but never in multiplayer....That is why I ask.

I really enjoy reading into like this!!! Having a forum to discus helping others is something that is just not used enough. Setting up Track IR5 has been a problem for me and youtube has only one video for setting up. There are so many variables to learn and discover. I now switch my tanks every 10 minutes while flying the stang and its helps to balance out the plane.

Could you please tell me what you use to view the file ? Wordpad makes everything scrambled for me. Thanks

I have two EVGA 4 gig 680 GPU's in my rig and have been very happy with the performance. I tried to look up how to download the beta version or what ever it is for Windows 10 and was not seeing it on the microsoft website. I did see some last week, but they were from sites that wanted you to register with them and I just did not feel comfortable doing so and I guess there are only a few games out that would even use any of the benefits of the Direct X 12 properties. I look forward to the new WWII DCS and the new planes and I have been learning so much from others on the multiplayer areas using TS3 Client and many of the wonderful people there have taught me so much and I appreciate learning more as I am getting older and not as swift with the learning curve and the things can can be done. Im getting better at landing the P-51 as I am now home all the time and can now fly for many hours instead of only weekends or just coming home one weekend a month as I had been doing for 4 months. I missed flying so much that I was going to buy a used pc for when I was in New York, as I did not want to bring my rig from CT to NY, as the place I was living was not very safe, from fire or theft, so I was not willing to have my rig there. OK, enough for now, hope I can get some info on Direct X 12 and Windows 10 and if it will effect DCS or not ?:pilotfly:

My wife just mentioned that She has a older PC with a good video card that I may borrow to bring up here ( Malta/Round Lake New York ) to practice my landings. YEA !!!!!

DCS on MiniMac Even if I were to only be able to practice landing the P51 in single player, I would be happy to do this as it will cost me nothing. If I turn everything way down, do you think it will allow me to do just that ? I have 5600 invested in my Home PC and do not want to bring it to the firetrap of a old house Im staying in for work. Thank You for your help. I just was in my F86 and when the F8 would not let me turn off ground power, I alt/tabbed to main screen and turned off the TIR5 and then back to DCS and F8 worked and I was able to turn off ground power.......but then the TIR5 would not see the game. I appreciate your help with this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I just was in my F86 and started her up with ground power. F8 is used by TIR5 and wont work after that, so I hit my alt/tab and got to main and turned off my TIR5 and then went back into DCS. NOW the F8 worked and I was able to turn off ground power, but now the Track IR5 does not see the game and so Im not able to use it, but the DCS is functioning fine. I do not see any commands where I can change the ground power on and off anywhere and so I am now quite stuck as to where to move forward with this.

I read this in SIM HQ a few minutes ago: The only comm key in Controls for both F-96 Easy and Real is "Communication Menu" which is the back slash key. When slash key is used, menu appears with F8 for Ground Crew and when F8 key is used.......no new menu appears. BadBud Have you got any applications running in the background that use the F8 key? I know that if I'm running TrackIR with it's default profile, F8, F7, F9 & F12 will have no effect in DCS because TrackIR is using them. Thank You golani79, I can press F8 sometimes to get ground power for F86, but NEVER for when I need to turn ground power off. I appreciate your help.

DCS F8 key works once for ground power but then not again. I got a keyboard tester and F7 and F8 do not function, but if I turn off my TIR5 software, it does once again. Not sure how to fix this ?

using a keyboard tester, I found out my TrackIR5 software is blocking my F7 F8 and F9 keys. When I turn off the software, the keys work again. I think the TIR5 software senses the DCS keys and so Im not sure where to start with this

I am not able to use the F8 key some of the time, and I used a program called keyboard tester and while in DCS and using TIR5, the F7, F8, would do nothing and the F9 key would not register on the tester, but would change the lights on the track IR5. I turned off the software for TIR5 and everything worked just fine. How do I get the TrackIR5 software to allow me to use my F8 key, as I need it for ground power for my F86. It works the very first time when I need ground power, but never afterwards, to shut it off. Thanks for any help with this................... Mike:pilotfly:

I dont know why there is no sound and sorry about my track ir5 jumping around. Most of the time when I turn to the right, Im looking at my right hand screen at the communications commands and the ground crew is black and when I hit F8 .......... Nothing happens. I cant turn ground power off. When I go forward, the tower or the ground crew asks """ What are you doing""" The top says auto, but I cant hit F2 to turn ground power off. Im lost

track of what Im doing I made a track........I uploaded it so you can see what Im doing.... The problem was in F86 only, not Mustang. I had to double check to make sure. ground power off wont work.trk

I have tried that over and over. Sometimes the crew is ghosted, but that may be in Mustang, rather then F-86. Im 60 and having a hard time remembering everything. Things will work in single player like rockets, but then when I go to Multi, they dont. So much to learn !!!! But I love the game and spent money on TIR5 and pedals and X52 and many mods. I love the Sim !!!!!!!!!!!
