  1. The Mirage 2000C never had the TGP. The Export variant (2000E) could use a TGP though. (the French ATLIS II Pod) So if they make a Mirage 2000E or Mirage 2000-5 later on then we will probably get a TGP capable Mirage 2000 but i dont think its likely that the 2000C module will get a TGP.
  2. Well not sure a about the triple ejection racks. But we do have the 5x Multiple Ejector Rack for the Center pylon. so with the Multiple Ejector Rack on the centerpylon that makes for atleast 9 MK 82s (Snakeeyes or otherwise). But that list is also old so there will hopefully be some additions to it. (i especially hope for the additions to Zuni Rockets) And also id say if the Wing pylons are incapable of using 3x MERs then seeing as one of the wing pylons should be MK-83 capable id probably go with 7 MK82 and 2x Mk-83 or 5x Mk 82 on the centerline 2x Mk83 on the wings and 2x rocket pods. But either way this beauty should have a pretty decent Air-Ground Load. its only a matter of training enough to where you are competent with hitting with them.
  3. But do you take the mirage 2000 out easy in a guns only dogfight? Or in general? (with aim-120s) Since the Mirage 2000 is very maneuverable (more so then the F-15) and with its instantaneous turn rate its very deadly in a close in dogfight.
  4. I think you mean the APQ-159 If i remember correctly the 157 is the 2 seat / 2 display variant of the 153 so it has 153 performance. (as it uses a 153 radar but with dual controls/displays) the APQ 159 is the variant we are getting (APQ-159-3 as its for the single seat variant and lacks AGM-65 support) But the range etc you stated match the 159 and is correct for this module.
  5. Well some of the systems for the FC3 aircraft are simplified in some ways. So that could be a reason why it works differently from the Mirage 2000. So that means you cant always use them as a standard for what is or is not realistic.
  6. Yea i think the Mig-21 has some some features that are not 100% realistic but were added (sometimes as options) to make it easier to use.
  7. 2 missiles or 4 missiles are actually not a huge difference capability wise it mostly depends on how careful you are when using them (as not to waste them) for example the Mirage 2000 has 4 missiles (2x IR and 2X radar as standard load) and for a long time the IR guided missile was responsible for atleast 70% of kills. And you only had two of those (today you can get 4) But it was not at all uncommon to get 2 kills with those 2 missiles. As long as you fired within launch parameters. And also the Guns/Gunsight combo for the F-5E make it a very effective gunfighter. So if we compare it to the Mig 21 the avg pilot (someone who has not mastered the Mig-21s much less usefull gunsight) The F-5E is capable to get as many or more kills in a sortie (even if the Mig-21 can carry 2-4 more missiles then the F-5E) And especially if we get the All aspect Aim-9P4 (Or P5) then your missiles should be very effective so if you use them well and within launch parameters you it should not be difficult to get a high hitpercentage with the missiles. And if you get 1-2 kills with the Missiles and then 1-2 more with guns (more should be possible but it depends on pilots accuracy with guns and trigger discipline) So if you come out with a potential avg of atleast 2-4 kills per sortie then thats not at all bad for this type of fighter and at that point you are likely getting low on fuel anyway. the F-5E is not Air Superiority fighter.
  8. And using the high alt alternative in something like a viggen would be alot easier then in a A-10 example as flying on the deck you can very quickly zoom climb to that altitude (just go After burner and climb) while in the A-10 etc it takes some time to reach altitudes (if you want to maintain any forwards momentum at the same time)
  9. But then again seeing as the Caucasus map has alot mountains and hilly terrain is you fly low and with the terrain one should be able to get decently close to most targets even if they are heavily defended. Just stay in down low amongst the terrain untill you get close enough to the target where you can make a high speed pop up release the weapons then get back into the terrain to evade any incoming fire. And if you use the mountains you can also get great cover while still getting increased range (from the altitude) For example allot of airfields would be in the dangerzone. For example Sochi and Gudauta. As if you flew through the mountains then made a high speed pop up over the mountain tops you could have enough speed / Alt for the weapon to reach all the way to the Airfields. While at the same time exposing yourself to minimal danger from the air defenses. And there are many more airfields that are close to hilly / mountainous terrain.
  10. I have no problem with only having 2 aim-9s if we get the Aim-9P4 (or P5) And one thing with the F-5E is that it actually has a very effective Gun sight so the Cannons should be pretty effective in dogfighting. Much more so then the Mig-21.
  11. And i still think the F-5E could be fun on MP servers where the teams are using mixed aircraft. But in a light strike role rather then a fighter role (as telling friend from foe will be hard if not impossible). And the F-5E should be interesting in the strike role once one has learned the techniques (after all many nations used the F-5 in a Light Fighter bomber role with other aircraft serving as the Dedicated figther) and it can carry a suprising load for its small airframe.
  12. Yea i realised that later but saw the gear lights first.
  13. They never said they would announce the Viggen in September 2015. They probably intended to announce something. But plans and circumstances always change but they cant take back what they said a long time ago. And much of what they planned to do with the viggen was probably upset by the fact it was leaked (and my guess is we would have had an announcement by know without that leak) . And they have talked about the Viggen and that they are in the finishing stages of it (they have stated in the last few months that they are almost complete and are nearing the final polishing stage).
  14. I saw his response i just wanted to respond to the people that seemed to have misunderstood me. I cant stand ppl misunderstanding me (so i need to make sure they understood my intent). I blame my ASD ^^
  15. People seem to misunderstand me... The mirage 2000 and the Fc3 fighters have comparable RWR systems when it comes to launch warnings. Im not trying to say for them to make a unrealistic change to make the Mirage 2000 more effective. Im saying they should make it realistic and on par with the other fighters. If that means giving the M2000 the same type of Launch warning as the FC3 fighters or if it means giving it a more complex type of launch warning (especially if the FC3 fighters had the same type of launch warning update) or none of them should get a launch warning (which would not be realistic). Im not saying they should make an unrealistic change to make the mirage 2000 more comparable with the FC3 fighters... Im saying they should make a realistic change that would make it more comparable to the FC3 fighters...
  16. Yea the Radar only works when airborne (as a safety meassure).
  17. sorry if this is a stupid question but as i see from the lights the gears are down are you airborne? Since the radar does not turn on until you are airborne (where the display will change)
  18. Did you turn the radar mode switch all the way? It has multiple modes make sure you turn it all the way to make sure its on.
  19. The viggen will be very nice to have in the Strike Role. and while it might not be able to kill as many ground units per sortie is a SU-25 or a A-10 it is able to get to and from the target area much faster. Which both increases the amount of sorties it can do and minimizes the time its exposed to danger (both air-air and air-ground) Since this bird is just as fast as the fighters we have in game (Mach 2 at alt and mach 1 on the deck. So if a enemy fighter finds you you actually have a decent chance of getting away and its also alot more capable of defending itself if it has to. I think most ppl who realize what it is and what it does before buying it will love it. But ppl who expect it to be like a F-16/F-18 or a Fast A-10 could be disappointed.
  20. Mostly i just want it to be even. So if the FC3 fighters also had no Launch warning there would be no problem. But with the FC3 fighters having working RWR launch warning and the mirage 2000 not having it it kinda skews it a bit. (Since they all should have similar systems) And hampers the Mirage 2000 especially in head on or 1vs1 combat. Its not game breaking but it does change the way you have to fly her and in some ways it makes her less effective. As you need to be more paranoid thus preventing you from taking alot of shots or chances thus preventing you from getting some kills you would have been able to get in a different aircraft.
  21. Are you guys intending to add a Radar Launch warning to the RWR (not talking about MLWS but just a normal SARH Launch warning) Either in a Complex more realistic form or in the Simplistic way that the FC3 aircraft use. Since while you can survive without this it would go along way towards making the M2000 more equal to the other fighters in the game and it would take away one significant disadvantage the M2000 has currently in dcs.
  22. For all we know it was. But plans change. Either way hopefully we will hear something this month or the next. The lack of a announcement is not out of spite. If they are waiting im sure they have their reasons. And maby they want the period from the announcement to the release to be as short as possible. So when they announce it they can show us a Product that is very close to release.
  23. I very much hope they include different Submunition options. the Anti runway load for example would be very interesting and quite effective. (would probably be banned from some Mp servers though xD)
  24. Well there are multiple accounts of A-7s launching AGM-84Es during the gulf war. (The AGM-84 SLAM being a Air launched Air-ground cruise missile variant based on the AGM-84 harpoon) So while ive never heard of it carrying the anti-ship types (as that was up to the A-6 and later the F-18) It seems to have been able of carrying atleast one AGM-84 variant.
  25. Aim-54? perfect for a fast target that cant maneuver if it life depended on it. but either way yes the Mig-25 can run away. But it does not have very effective weapons to engage enemy fighters with (atleast not if they are trying evade).
