Using Gate Cont Has anyone figured out how to use the axis on the Gate Cont to slew the camera controls on the DCS Harrier? I tried assigning it for the horizontal and Vertical slew but it doesn't seem to be recognized other than on the assignment setup, in Game, nothing.

If I am running version E do I need to reflash the black box?

That's my point, there is no tracking number, are you talking about the north American site? The site has a note across the bottom saying VKB HQ says next batch shipping 4th January. So much for the shipping within a week, 26th to 4th, just saying

I have purchased many things from various parts of the world, including China but this was the first time I have not been given a clear response about shipping upon having my funds deposited to the vender. In addition I have seen various communications from rrhode speaking about changes to release dates to the various versions of the joystick. My basic point was that there should be better DIRECT communication between VKB and there customers. Sideslip choose to turn my comment into some kind of personal attack. It is kind of unsettling to see answers on DCS forum and not directly to purchasers who's money is already in play. I would have expected a shipping notification much sooner after the release of my funds

what does will complete mean? To me it means I will have it in my hands

I paid for it on the 26th, haven't heard anything yet about shipping.

well seeing as I will need to change springs, cams, because I purchased gunfighter Pro with extension with MCG Pro if I want to use it, it needs to be available pretty soon

Sideslip: thanks for the info AeroGator: Will additional documentation be released before the role out next week? The information on your forum is quite rudimentary with respect to changing springs, software descriptions and how to use it. EDIT: Appears Sokol1 posted same time I did

I have now read that response, Thank-you. That being said, I search VKB forums and could find no reference to any of the information that you provided on the other thread I started, so I asked that question on a new thread, rather than on page 96 of this thread. There appears to be a shortage of written explanations with respect to the Hardware and Software VKB is producing. When you pay premium dollars for Hardware, users expect superior Documentation. Just an observation, not meant as a criticism.

Guess I misunderstood what was being said on the VBK thread, as it appears to be exactly what I initially thought. VKB is like MFG when in comes to centering your hardware, you have to use the Manufacturers software, not the Windows setup. I think I mis-interpreted some posts that were aimed at users attaching a Warthog to the Gunfighter Base, at least that's what I am going to use as my excuse :doh: Thanks all for the reassuring info.:thumbup:

That's what I was hoping, don't want to use system like TARGET just assign within DCS

So it turns out it is not plug and play. How can I access documentation to see if my limited skills will be up to setting this up

well that's disappointing. kinda a step backwards not to be able to bind controls within DCS

As per Topic, I have a Gunfighter Pro and MCG Pro grip on order but today I heard that this set up is not Plug and Play in DCS. Anybody know what the status of this?

Plug and Play is up to the manufacturer is it not? Other than the profile for the A-10C my Thrustmaster joystick and throttle, is set directly by selection within the DCS setup page Same with all other controllers I have run. Please confirm that this Joystick will be recognized ASAP

That was the major reason I am purchasing this Joystick it is supposed to be plug and play right out of the box
