I still have $70 dollars from old system, Plus 6350 miles. Can I use my dollars on this purchase as well as points?

Got my replacement cable today and got to test my updated MCG Pro electronics and new cams and dust cover. Must say that feel and smoothness is very good. Using #50 springs, 2 in total with the new cams makes center position very good. My only question going forward is how the new gear stands up to use.

well if the difference is just this wiring change, then I am up-to-date electronic wise, just the difference of the "new" gimble in the Mark III
-
The upgrade kits are not for the faint of heart. Depending on the model you are upgrading from, it may entail having to reroute some wires to lengthen them to make a connection. All very do-able but as I said, you must have confidence in your ability to follow some lengthy instructions via a you tube video. My new cable (from joystick to Blackbox) is out for delivery today so I guess I will find out how clever I am later today :noexpression:

got the total upgrade kit, dust-cover, electronics and cams. I guess, according to rrohde, my gimble is not the same? so not a true MK III Not sure what difference there is in the electrical connection.
-
Dburne: I have installed the update kit from VKB to upgrade my MK II. Would that make my setup a MK III? Haven't been able to test my setup yet, had a problem with a broken cable and just waiting for it to arrive.

dburne: mine is out for delivery at Sumas Washington today. Came from China in 2 days:). I have a "mailbox" at a package delivery store so it shouldn't be an issue getting it, I hope. -
DCS servers obviously overwhelmed :D my download is 6523MB now downlading at 1MB I have nearly all modules and Maps
-
who is your Carrier, my Shaw is running okay averaging around 1.1MB so wouldn't say we are living in the boondocks.

I have sent a PM to Victorus on VKB FORUM asking for assistance. He is the Author of the Software we use.
-
dburne: that's my concern too. Got my gunfighter working great no x axis issues for a few months and using the brake lever as a button, along with a four way button on the gate control stick. The only thing I had to do was open the app and restart a few times. I have been leery about updating my software cause if it aint broke dont touch it has mostly been my attitude especially with VKB as I struggle with the app because it is not very user friendly in my experience. I'm going to ask rrhode over at VKB north america for assisstance.

Dburne: Neither of those posts are the one that you and I had posts on...I hate being old:lol:
-
thanks again for your response. I originally found a posting in this thread 18 months ago? but now I can't seem to find it. I believe dburne was involved but he was quoting somebody else, just can't find it now.
-
Thank-you for your response. It would appear that the process remains essentially the same. Your posting for the Hat stick is not what I am looking for. It is for changing the analog stick into a 4 way button (plus push, for 5th way) that I am looking for.

As I am waiting for my order to update my Gunfighter II MCG Pro setup I have been looking to find the latest software and firmware and what method to use to bring my Gunfighter up-to-date. I also have my "gate-control" stick set to be a 4 way button and the brake lever set as a button. As far as I can determine the latest Firmware is V1.98.1. Vkbdevcfg is V0.90.93 and Zbootloader is V1.18 I think the latest BB_GF_v1_92_1 is the most up-to-date? I am currently using older software with my current setup as it is working great for me however I know I must update my software as I will have updated Electronics. Could some-one explain how the new procedure to update my joystick works? I also can't find the steps to to change my gate control Stick to the 4 buttons. I saw an explanation about the brake-lever recently now being easy due to software changes. Thanks in advance for assistance.

After three downloads, two repairs I finally got it to work by using Skatezilla's Utility App. Issue was occurring during the cleanup phase of the update. In any event all seems well now.
-
Having an issue with installing after download, anybody else having an issue?
-
On further investigation, it appears that the issue was in my created missions, I had saved them yesterday after updating my Video Card but apparently something screwed up because after re-saving them today all working correct. Sorry for the false alarm, my bad :music_whistling:
-
Since last update I now have an issue with excessive pitch up and can not control with trim adjustment. Only affect the Hornet, all other a/c OK

Lucky, Hope your new rift s is the solution:thumbup:

so BIGNEWY who clearly labeled as a Community Manager, makes a clear statement in a thread captioned DCS Update Patch Notes Discussion Thread and people do not GET IT. I may have lived too long
-
Yes it puts you too close to sights on the Co-pilot mode. Also too far forward to access overhead switches on Co-pilot position

After looking at the you tube clip Dburne posted, I believe the Rift S is the last of the VR headsets that are solely tethered to a VR Computer that Oculus will build. They are clearly moving to integrate VR with their Facebook environment and move away from high end users like VR Simulations.
