  1. I agree with Slick Fork, get the Mirage, for reasons stated. Pick up the F5 on a good sale. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk

    DCS: F-5E!

Informative video. Thanks for posting it. The F14 will be an exciting addition to dcs. Can't wait to pre-order. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  3. Hopefully, people not sure about buying the L39 or just tight on cash, took advantage of the recent flash sale. I'm having a lot of fun with the L39 and very happy to fly it solo. A great jet to own. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  4. I have a feeling that Leatherneck is going to blow our socks off with the F14. Based on the outstanding job with their Mig 21. Life's too short to pass this one up, even if it's not on your wishlist. However, f you can resist it, more power to you ☺. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  5. I will probably buy any new module (that's fully modeled) created by DCS or Leatherneck. I've never been disappointed with the quality of their products or support. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  6. I just purchased the L-39 on flash sale, which I believe is still going on. I'm really enjoying learning this plane. Some systems, like navigation, are more sophisticated than in the F86, which I own too . I've mothballed my other trainer planes, Hawk, and C101, the L-39 is a more complete. module. Loving the L-39 P.S. Mig - 21 is still my overall favorite fighter. The L-39 is my now favorite trainer. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  7. Cool photo! It's my phone wallpaper now ☺. So looking forward to this release. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk

    DCS: F-5E!

I'm definitely interested in the F- 5e but holding off buying, since the trailer didn't tell me much about how this jet will be simulated. I'm hoping Wags will do a demo, like he did for the Gazelle and other modules, before the pre-sale is over. It's got to have something very special, since I own other modules that I still haven't gotten to. Also, I'll be buying the F14 for sure. So many fun modules, so little time to learn them all. 9. I have nearly all modules including Hawk & C101. My favorite is the Mig 21. This is the plane that turned me into a flight sim addict (as my wife calls me now ). The moment I get into the cockpit, I'm immersed. I still get a good feeling when I successfully touch down after a sortie or just a navigation flight. It's a great combination of challenging and fun. 10. I've downloaded the target range miz as well. It looks great, thank you! Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  11. Good April fools joke! Glad I checked the link before quitting my day job. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  12. Reading it now, it's filling in some gaps for me. Thanks so much for posting this article. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  13. No apparent problem with the new TIR driver here, plugged directly into computer's usb 2.0 port. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  14. Cool! I didn't know this, will try it out tonight.. Thanks for sharing. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  15. I purchased the Dell 34" ultra wide and a 980ti gpu. It definitely improved the sim immersion factor for me. I have my original 24" monitor plugged into my gpu as well. I use it primarily for viewing flight manuals and watching/pausing dcs tutorials, while running dcs simultaneously on the 34". I'm really happy with this setup. Good luck deciding, so many good options out there.
  16. He lived the dream. Thanks for the video. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  17. I think this is an issue that Leatherneck needs to fix. I just posted this "shadow" issue on their Bug Tracker site. I'll post any response I get from them. Update : LN closed my problem ticket, because apparently, this issue had already been reported. I've been playing with my settings in DCS and have found changing to "flat shadows" only and turning off "depth of field" does improve the graphics quality quite a bit for me. Hopefully future updates will fix all these issues Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  18. I have the same problem with irratic shadow movement with the mig 21, especially noticeable when sitting on the ramp. Using the latest dcs engine with the new gtx 980 Ti video card and 16gb ram. I've changed my settings in game, to medium, that helps. Hope a better fix cones along. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  19. I also have the Dell 34" ultra wide, curved monitor. It really improves the immersion factor. Watch for sales, with the economy issues in China, you might find a great price on one. You'll need a strong gpu to drive it at full res though. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  20. Keeping 980 ti Thank you and BitMaster for your responses. My 980 ti card arrived just a short while ago, I haven't installed it yet. However, I've decided to keep it, even though I'm not running 4k. It's probably overkill for my system but I'd rather be overpowered than under. It will be nice not to have my gpu be the weak link, at least for awhile. Thanks again. Bern
  21. If there's a GPU bottle neck, where a gtx 970 gives the same performance as Gtx 980 Ti, is this something ED is likely to fix? I just spent a fortune on a 980 Ti, arriving today. I'm thinking to return it and get a 970 at half the price. This is really disappointing news for the new DCS engine. My monitor is a 34" uhd, running 1440p @60hz Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  22. Happy new year to the LNS team. Very much looking forward to the F14 release. In the meantime, I'll be protecting the skies in my mig 21 ☺ Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  23. Sounds like you did great. Thanks for the info. Enjoy your monitor. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  24. Which 4k monitor did you buy? I'm also thinking of getting one Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  25. Merry Christmas! And thank you for the mig 21, my favorite module. Very much looking forward to your F14 release. Enjoy your well deserved time off. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
