  1. I'd love to get my hands on the legendary MiG, so I can simulate the experiences a MiG pilot has been writing in his book (Including buzzing an open-air cinema and trying to guess the actors. No joke, it did happen)
  2. Guys, I think you might want to see this:
  3. They look awesome! Btw, Keshman, will you make a T-72 desert skin? Would be pretty nice for a stand-in Gulf war scenario.
  4. Stabilised guns haven't been implemented yet. You get some sort of stabilisation by pressing a key called "keep turret pointed to target", or something along these lines. Default: V.
  5. [ame=http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=888_1447773218]LiveLeak.com - White Swan FINALLY Spotted in Syria -- Massive ISIS Bombardment by RuAF Strategic Long Range Aviation[/ame]
  6. I'd like to see a T-72 with correct sights. IRL they're different from the T-80's. I'd also love to see the currently driveable vehicles to be modelled to T-72: Balkans on Fire standards. BTW: Don't we already have a DCS CA wishlist topic? :)
  7. Yup, DCS CA would be the first ground vehicle sim that would not suck because of dumb AI
  8. Welp, that's a bummer :(
  9. Sorry for the late reply, could you elaborate your points a bit more? I was planning to build a Google Cardboard based VR system. I'm no expert in VR, and what I came up with came from three separate things: Head tracking, Google Carboard (only the "skeleton": the cardboard and lenses) and a smartphone being set-up as a secondary monitor. As you're the guy that knows what is doing, could you tell me where I'm wrong and that mistakes are present in my idea?
  10. Finally home :) Ok, so Google Cardboard is a pair cardboard goggles with lens inside. It's meant for you to put your smartphone inside it to act as a screen. If you set up your smartphone as a secondary computer screen, you can use Google Cardboard in conjunction with Trackir/other head tracking system to make your own DIY Oculus Rift. More info about Google Cardboard can be found on its official website: https://www.google.com/get/cardboard/ Here is how to get one (or make one, if you have free time and you like craftsmanship) https://www.google.com/get/cardboard/get-cardboard/
  11. Will post in 3 hours. Not at home right now.
  12. That's a realy nice thing to do, StormBat. Good luck to everyone competing (Including me :P)
  13. You can easily make your own VR Goggles with Google Cardboard, your smartphone and trackir. Sounds overcomplicated, but it isn't. :smilewink:
  14. This thread makes me feel so young. You were all playing flight sims way before I was even born! My first flight sim was Pacific Fighters, and all I remember about it the fact that I loved the B-25 and that I was free flying above the island of Okinawa (didn't know its name at the time). The first flight simulator I played properly was Il-2 Sturmovik (the original). I then continued playing Il-2 Forgotten Battles and IL-2 Sturmovik 1946. I still have 1946+mods on my hard drive, and I play it ocasionally. *Screenshot is not mine and the image is not edited.
  15. I think that this kind of loadouts are used only for bombing undefended outposts/priority targets. If the area is defended with AAA/short range SAM, you'd add some missiles to your loadout. If your mission is to support (aircraft in the air for a longer period of time) an assault against a serious force/defend an objective from a serious force, the loadouts would be pretty much like the ones we use in DCS (ok, without mixing of SEAD weapons with anything else). My personal opinion :) Anyway, what's the effect of KMGU submunitions dispensers against MBTs? I'm planning to try out a Sturmovik style attack against an armored column.
  16. Nice! CA is finally starting to get some well-deserved love
  17. I use my joystick and I have no problems hitting moving targets this way. On average I need two shots to hit a target. :joystick:
  18. Automatic deflection shooting for moving targets (If you're using a cannon) How to use it: 1: Turn it on 2: Use the rangefinder 3: Track the target twith your reticle 4: Shoot 5: Immediately fall in love with this feature :D
