  1. In that case, you're gonna love this
  2. I remember surviving two Roland hits at one time. The third one got me, though.
  3. The long one is also ~100lb heavier
  4. I'd guess it depends on the F-16 version. The one we have in game does not adjust for asymmetric loadouts.
  5. Nope. The GBU-12 is, in real life, configured on the ground and nothing about it can be changed in flight.
  6. I've been playing too much DCS lately... My first instinct when I watched your second video was to go full reverse thrust like in the Viggen. Hilarious vids, though! Been a long, long while since I saw something like this.
  7. Yup, you can make your TGP look for the JTAC's laser with the LSS function (which stands for, well, Laser Spot Search). Just make sure you have the right code entered.
  8. I love the frequency being written on the belly tank! Such an obvious idea, yet so brilliant!
  9. The title practically describes the problem. Cloudless nights tend to look like this: Screen taken from the "Night life" F-16 single mission. But it's not singular to it. EDIT: Apparently turning the game off and on again fixed this.
  10. Interesting, looks like they are right in the middle layer of the windshield. The one on the right is split near the bottom, too.
  11. Figured this might be a good place to ask... What is the point of these?
  12. Well, we already have a flir-mode in the F-16. It will just be upgraded. It will still need to be updated for each aircraft individually. Though, it will be quicker as the tech itself will already be in the game.
  13. This has got to be a new record... On the other hand, it's a pretty neat look into the past, really.
  14. Can't remember the exact source (iirc someone else posted on the forums), but I read that on the F-16, the exhaust plug of the inboard maverick had a chance of hitting the one of the ventral fins, rendering the plane uncontrollable. I know I exaggerated a bit with the effects on the A-10, but the tire's lifespan would decrease quite a lot. I didn't know that. Cool bit of info!
  15. On the F-16 you could rip the ventral fins with the inboard missile. On the A-10 you could bust the tires. I don't see anything in the of way of the missile exhaust/plug on the F-4.
  16. That's mostly a game mechanic. The real radar has a number of channels (11, iirc) that it can transmit on (that it can alternate between so that it won't interfere with other radars). In Radar priority mode, the ECM pod won't transmit on the same channel as your radar, even if it would need to do that to jam the enemy. In Jammer priority mode, the ECM pod will transmit on whichever channel it wants (or needs) and the radar will just change its own channel to move out of the way. Well, it currently has one of the most advanced ECM simulation as of yet. I'm guessing it will come to other aircraft at a later date.
  17. Maaan, I would love a MiG-29 with PGMs! Awesome article!
  18. Well, it does if you click on the unit
  19. This channel is a goldmine!
  20. I think your're both seeing things you want to see...... That was comfirmed, though...
  21. For now, it isn't. Judging by the 8 different pushbuttons on the ECM panel it soon will, though.
  22. Well, the Ka-50 doesn't have a FLIR anyway, so...
  23. Haven't exactly experimented with the performance, but the long pod is heavier.
  24. EW support. All is useless if the enemy can communicate, coordinate, properly react and possibly find out where you are. And that is useless if you don't have anything to shoot back, too.
  25. Thanks a bunch! The 775, though, seems to need a paintjob
