  1. Shame on you rge75 for your double fault  1) It is not the last mission 2) Mission was completed but you did not notice ;)
  2. Thanks WinterH for your interesting big picture!
  3. Great! Thanks mate  Last question: your video was of extreme clarity. In what resolution did you record it? 2560 x 1440?
  4. For clarification for the OP, there are 2 different things: 1) The general module feature for Mi-8 as described by other fellows. I've never used this but that is probably what the OP was looking for. 2) A special feature with co-pilot, only available in the Oildfield Campaign for the Mi-8. That's why I said: "on a side note"
  5. I don't use MFG anymore but I agree with you on that point. A taller heel stand/rest would also help to relieve the muscles of the leg during long flights if you leave your feet on the pedals.
  6. Hi, When you say "put your cockpit textures to high", are you talking of "Res. of Cockpit Displays"? I am on DCS 1.5.6 and I don't have the "high" option.
  7. Thanks for looking into this guys  SkateZilla: your trick works for one session BIGNEWY: your trick works permanently I guess that the PC Hardware and Related Software forum has particular default settings.
  8. Merci LeCuvier. I saw your post before ;) Thanks anyway. In short, stability was not my only problem with the MFG. Second problem is I do not feel comfortable using them from a regular desk chair. I now have switched to VKB Mk IV and I'm happy :)
  9. I am used to use the pilot's view only for sling loading but those 2 additional views (lean outside the window and flight engineer) are great! BaD CrC: thanks for the heads up! BST Team: good job! Thanks. Corvus: I really like your video (light, view angles, flying, location...)! Thanks. Can you please share the data so that I can recreate the flight: - Date - Time - Location - Weather
  10. All right, thanks for those information :)
  11. Hi, It seems that in the PC Hardware and Related Software forum, threads are not displayed anymore after a period of time. As an evidence, new threads are created nearly everyday but the number of pages of the forum remains at 3. An example is this thread that I created a while ago. It is still accessible directly but it is not displayed anymore in the forum. Recently the thread was still on page 3.
  12. I understand, thanks. It's smart to have 2 CAM in one piece and changing them by just flipping the steel piece. The default CAM is fine for me but I shall remember that if one day I want to change it, I should re-mount the tensioner that I dismounted today. Oh, so the 2 additional springs provided have different tensions... even if they look the same. Sorry, I'm curious: I can see you and rrohde posting a lot in this thread. I am wondering if both of you are linked with VKB or just passionate? Just asking for knowledge, nothing else intended.
  13. Hello mate :), It's horrible to realize how the details of a (even good) campaign vanishes quickly from memory once you have finished the campaign. I only vaguely recall what you are narrating about this mission. I don't have the "pictures" in mind anymore. "... Stop the engines... power-off..." : make sure you have really stopped the engine and powered-off all the aircraft : LWIN + End And also, maybe be... patient... to let time for the trigger to work?
  14. Thanks QuiGon for the detailed explanation and jimcarrel for the abstract. Crystal clear! And I think it does answer perfectly to the OP question.
  15. On a side note, in the Oilfield Campaign (DLC) for the Mi-8 there is a very nice feature consisting in copilot reading/confirming some items of the checklist. Works only in the missions of the campaign.
  16. This community is really great! Thank you so much Hoffster  The problem is as you described: friction between the spring and the black tensioner pole (B) at the location labelled (A) in the picture below. And I saw marks of the friction too. So, as per your advice, I removed the black tensioner pole because the default tension is just fine for me. I would certainly not need more tension. For guys who are not into DYI like me, here is a in which you will see how to disassemble the rudders. Thank you too Sokol1_br :) for the heads up regarding the whining caused by the spring hook moving over the anchor point and using oil/grease to solve this with oil/grease and not WD40. Fortunately I don't have that, but good tip to know. I will add reputation to both of you if the forum system allows me to. Now the only sound I have is the rudder returning to center if press right / left / right / left like crazy and do not cushion the movement. But that is normal IMHO. By the way, I received 2 additional springs. They look identical. Are those spare springs or what VKB call "CAM"?. And I did not see any CAM option to order on the VKB website. Just asking to understand as at this time all is fine for me.
  17. Thanks for your fast answer, much appreciated. Yes I googled and also read most of the pages of this thread and haven't seen any whining report. Now I know another french guy who has purchased the pedals recently and has also a whining. Maybe a problem with a series? I hope I can find a solution without sending them back. Really bad luck, I have bought a new monitor recently and there is also a problem...
  18. Hi everybody, I received my VKB-Sim T-Rudder Mk.IV today and overall I'm happy. I have one problem though: when I operate the pedals, there is some whining due to friction of the metal parts. The whining sound is rather loud but it's hard to locate where it comes from exactly. Any tip on how to solve this would be appreciated. I am thinking about spraying some WD40?
  19. SkateZilla: understood. Thanks Rudel_chw: thanks for your message. You are most welcome :) I like to think that we can do, learn and achieve more as a group/team/community! Compared to other internet forums, I really appreciate this one because it is mature. There can be some debates but I've never seen flamewars.
  20. Thanks Skatezilla. Why please?
  21. Hi, I don't use the DCS_updater.exe because at this time I'm staying on 1.5.6 and I don't want to be asked if I want to update everytime I launch DCS. Currently I use "Run.exe" (193.5 Kb) in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World But I noticed that there is also "DCS.exe" (11.1 Mb) in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin Which one should I use preferably?
  22. Hello, I had the same problem. With a bit of luck I solved it: see here
  23. Thank you all and Bitmaster for your kind help. So it looks like my G-Sync is working. I am just wondering why I don't have a "G-Sync" option in the V-Sync dropdown menu of the Nvidia Control Panel, as seen in tutorials. But maybe it is because of the drivers version or maybe the version of the Nvidia Control Panel. Regarding V-Sync: I have it OFF in DCS and in other games settings. I have it also OFF in Nvidia Control Panel. For me it makes sense because VSync and G-Sync are two different technologies for more or less the same purpose. So for me it is one or the another and not two at the same time.
