  1. Yeah probably something like a list of standart frequencies for Blue/Red to go to when they join the server and coordinate a bit and then get on their own frequencies in the flight packages ... if only we had something like that https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LYS-K2EBGBZ1RjD0UGUdOkAXJBGw3mmRQZ2cSsdbJao/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=0
  2. Ciribob, this is a no brainer, absolutely YES.
  3. LOL Greg that's funny I love that meme^^ thanks
  4. Those are not new problems you guys are describing, I have joined the fun in Round 5 and it was the same back then. I wrote about this in my post here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2868876&postcount=505 It is up to the BS team to decide where they want their campaign to be headed, and as far as I can tell they want to keep it open so the high fluctuation of players doesn't lead to an eventually empty server.
  5. Welcome to BlueFlag (; in regards to the GCI calls, since he sees "everything" it is better for him to give directions from individual aircraft, a Bullseye call is best used in a flight where you can't see where your wingmen are, so you have to communicate that verbally somehow.
  6. yeah you are correct in ONE regard, you only ASSUME ... I certainly will not switch to EOS in that situation, I sometimes can't find fighters within 25km on my EO depending on the circumstances. If you don't believe me that is fine, but at least listen to Frostie, he is a veteran member of one of the best squads around (personal expirience).
  7. Oh boy, what the hell are you on ? You spewing numbers and adding an airframe name next to it is not math -.-' First of all one BIG misconception you have: EOS is not the magical "I can findz helos plox" sensor...far from it, as a matter of fact anyone using EOS as primary is doing it wrong, for alot of reasons. Second, lets take your example... 2xA10 8xCAP 2xTransport ... so I assume you are talking about airfields yeah ? ... if you think our Red Helo combo takes out airfields on their own I don't think you factor in the all seeing AI. In case you were talking about taking a FARP/COM Array ... really dude, you need all that shit for ONE FARP? What I take from the last few pages is this: Blue starts to bitch about stuff just as much as Red now, we must have achieved asymetric balance :D The main problem for people is apparently the lack of coordination, GCIs need to start being more of a general, taking command and working on big picture strategy (play it like a strategy game, not like a robot that is really good at giving vectors), pilots need to get into the mindset of joining the server and immediately finding out what that strategy is and who they need to talk to to help, instead of insisting to do their own thing. Better discipline overall from everyone is required, if that happens I think we'll be surprised how much we can work around the "unfair advantages" of the opposing force. Blueflag is at a crossroads right now in my opinion, either you (1) keep it open for everyone, don't require much of a commitment/discipline from the pilots and just live with the airquake (and occasional succsesful coordination), this would pretty much leave the expirience as it is now. Or you (2) could work some magic in form of whitelisting, make everyone agree to a certain ruleset and behavior so that we get a homogenous expirience everytime we join the server. Ultimately this is for the BS team to decide, it is their campaign and they want to provide something for everybody, which of course has its drawbacks like I stated above.
  8. yes, I wish more people were active on the BuddySpike site and took part in the tactical discussion in Red HQ, maybe they would then realise how important Pak3 is as opposed to defending Maykop
  9. Something just dawned on me, maybe spawned bombers could cost resources, so lets say a bomber is going form Maykop to a farp, then Maykop loses X ammount of fuel. That would make bomber spamming very dangerous for your own forces, make strikes more valuable AND increase the importance of manually refueling airfields. Since Bombers are tied to a specific airfield anyways I imagine this should be doable. On the other hand this kind of change would require a great ammount of communication and coordination, which might be a problem from what I can read here, and form what I have expirienced on the server. So just throwing this out there as an idea, I realise it might cause more trouble though.
  10. And I think "Mr.Get your own callsign" is having a hard time coming up with his own callsign :D
  11. If you really want to learn something, take Reaper up on his offer, best KA-50 Pilot in all of Redfor !
  12. Here we go again, "people saying" ... now somebody is going to read this and think there is an army of dudes who said it (forum snowballing 101). It's just me, and I only worded my response like I did not to show disagreement, but in fact to express that I believe it is futile. I tried the very same thing you are doing now, as you can see without success. So good luck with your request, I support it and would certainly welcome it.
  13. Changing things on the fly, during rounds and without much of a notice/explanation has been the modus operandi since I have joined the fun in round 5, you better get used to it. Edit: Buddyspike team also tries to accomodate as much people as possible, so that might be a reason for it.
  14. 17 PM? damn how many hours are there in your day? :D
  15. Try http://5.189.162.17/
  16. Thanks to twitch I saw a way for Eagles to fuel up and rearm quickly, I had stopped using the trick for the Flanker but I'll be using and abusing it again now. Certainly good to know that I was an idiot to give in to the "fair play" appeal
  17. Preach, I will try to get my 25 skills up to par again before the weekend, god yesterday was embarassing (;
  18. I just find it amusing that people fly high fidelity systems aircraft where you even have to cool the damn sensor of your heatseeker, but apparently refuse to use the radios in their cockpits, I just can't come up with a logical explanation for that.
  19. I think an important thing to consider is that right now we are testing and everything is chillaxed and people don't give a hoot, but once the real round starts and it is about "winning", cluttered coms and ergo less coordination will be the reason operations fail and frustrate people more often than not, at least that is what I have expirienced in previous rounds.
  20. oh come on those are not really that hard to figure out, just from reading the SOP. On here : http://gadget-buddyspike.rhcloud.com/ you can find SOP, radio info and some links to red/blue HQ, but to accommodate you even more and show you how we truly want to help new people: Don't worry about IFF, this round blue/red don't share any assets. Lives are reset on a 6h cycle, type "-lives" into the ingame chat to see a message about your live's status and the reset timer, type "-time" to see when the server restarts
  21. I don't know why you would bother to escort a 21 anyway, unless it could carry nukes of course, but that would be ridiculous.
  22. I read the SOP again and there is no mention of 80's scenario, just NATO vs. Russia, none the less the aim should be competitive balance, and with the fact that high fidelity modules are tilted towards NATO you just have to be a little creative with the setup. I understand that Red comes off as whiny apparently, but it should not be too hard to step back a bit and think about the capabilities of Blue/Red in the current setup.
  23. If you want to switch to redfor you can still do so during the testing phase, but I am not sure if you can do that on your own or you need an admin to do that for you, contact Xcom in TS or create a post on the Buddyspike website, should be no problem.
  24. So another thought that I have in my mind for quite some time, since SimpleRadio was announced (I love it btw.), I was worried about people splitting up even more in terms of communication/coordination. The idea is great but there is still no policy to make people use the available communications channels, and with TS & SimpleRaido the potential of people splitting up and not communicating with each other is even greater. Combine that with the openness of the server and the basically meaningless registration process and I see thigs becoming even more of a cluster than they are now. I feel like since I joined in round 5 it has gotten a little worse every new round coordination wise, SimpleRadio is a great step in the right direction but it would be nice if there was some kind of way to force people to use it (or just TS with proper coms structure).
  25. I don't think you can use any fancy stuff in the FC3 planes, but you can always select an airfield as a known location and then look on the HSI to determine your position, and to find a FARP you just need to know the vector from your selected airfield.
