  2. We should all just avoid comments like these, we have seen in the past where it leads when someone says X side does this and that therefore we are "only defending ourselves" Neither Blue or Red are full of cheaters/exploiters, we all have a list of things that we think the other side does that are unfair, but we should stick to pointing out the issues, not pointing fingers.
  3. Not everything is about you and your memezlolz life (; It was meant to be a funny reference to BodyOrgan trying to set you off, be happy about the fact that I don't want to start making jokes about your nickname, I don't even have to try hard to come up with something too inappropriate for this place. And btw, what IS wrong with my videoembedding?
  4. All of these discussions on different topics about balance are highly amusing, you guys keep running in your hamster wheels and seem to ignore anything that has been said by BS-team in the past and/or does not fit your point of view. (I was gone for a week and just read the last ~20 pages)
  6. Hey, so I stumbled upon this after the most recent update to stable 1.5.6 : countermeasures were finalized so I tested the new functions, I wanted to test all the programs as well for the first time, so I switched all the way up to 10, but when I turned the knob back to program 1, no chaff was dispensed (I had plenty left), I then turned the knob to program 2 and it dispensed only 6 chaff (so it was executing program 1). I then tried program 3, and it was executing program 2 (surprise :D). when I turned the program knob back to off (A) and then back to 1, everything was in order again, so I guess that programs get shifted somehow when you turn the knob to its limits.
  8. This is excellent, thanks
  10. I can confirm this, weapons work on other servers that probably did the re-save thing.
  12. In case you have not figured it out yet, M2000C does not have many keybindings by default, you need to set them up yourself. I personally find that more comfortable than having everything pre-set.
  13. I remember when you first tried to fix it and said you would leave it until later since finding a solution was slowing you down in other areas, and I could not be happier to hear that there might be a fix on the horizon! Great job Zeus, your work is much appreciated.
  14. The open beta for 1.5 is just used as a testbed for 1.5, so whenever there is an update to the beta it will be released on the stable soon after, depending on how fast they can fix the encountered bugs. Content wise the difference is not significant, except when a new airplane is realeased along a new beta branch (like we have right now with the Viggen). So if you want the newest, shiniest toys, go beta, but if you have the patience to wait a few weeks until the bugs get sorted, and prefer a less broken sim stay on stable.
  15. Oh I'm with you, I wish it would be used more by Red, Blue seem to have gotten used to it and have over 75% SRS presence most of the time, I wonder why it is so hard for us to do the same. Whenever I am on the server I will be on SimpleRadio to set a good example, wether there are other people or not. We previously seperated GCI into east/west but I don't think that is necessary until we get more structure going, so I urge everyone on Red to please use SRS on 126.0 as is stated by server messages.
  16. I'm going to make a wild guess here and say it's the one on the website :smartass:
  17. Thanks for the clarification, so VEI -> [] will always leave you on standby no matter what, but PCM -> [] and vice versa depends on your HOTAS, in that case option one would be my vote.
  18. That is correct. So lets assume I have the knob switched to [], and the HOTAS command on emit, V+BR are lit. Now I switch the jammer off by rotating to VEI, only V is lit. If I now turn the knob back to [], and we choose option 1 in the poll, the jammer will instantly start emitting, since it remembers my last HOTAS button setting, but I would have no way of knowing that. So I would prefer option 2 unless there is some type of indication for the "remembered" HOTAS setting. Hope this clears it up.
  19. I may be on the wrong track here, but I think I see several problems. First of all the chart from the manual does not seem to be very helpful, since you cannot differentiate between a VEI setting and the jammer emitting by just looking at the lights. I like UF_Winterz' chart, and I assume that we will have the original chart corrected in the way he showed here. That being said, option 1 of the poll would leave room for confusion since you will have no indication of the jammer's behavior if you had it previously turned on, then turned it off by rotating the knob to VEI (for whatever reason). Unless there will be indications for the mode the jammer will be in when turning back to [], Option 2 sounds best to me. ( I have not voted yet and will wait to see what this discussion leads to )
  20. I would have to disagree, for me and many others, lack of communication and tactics is what dampens the expirience. Sure the mission could be improved, but the players themselves could do alot more to improve the gameplay.
  21. Hey, just wanted to let you know that there is something wrong with the kicking script for simple radio, I am connected, I can talk to people and I tried both joining the server with SRS connected, and with SRS autoconnect, in both cases everything works as it should, but the script kicks me from the server after 5mins.
  22. whoops, thanks for pointing that out, edited for clarification, but the point still stands. and you are also right on that second part so I'll just delete that image, BUT, and that is the one thing I was right on, is that lat/long decimal do not need to be converted.
  23. Hi, -deleted image- Edit: I messed up completely on that image, but the main point I was trying to make is that DCS lat/long decimal coordinates do not need to be converted, that is only true for arcseconds.
  24. Great Job @Elmo, patronising tone and wrong information on top. When you have selected Lat/Long decimal you don't need to convert the coordinates anymore, that is only necessary for arc seconds and the correct mathematical operation would be x/60*100
