  1. AI aircraft now get stuck at the tanker with this latest patch. The attached trk is a training mission I have been using for a while now without problems until now. Takeoff from carrier, go bomb something at the island target range, hit a kc-130 for some gas, then go south and do some air to air with the air force, back to the ship at the end of a 1:15 cycle, with other ai flights doing their own 'training' too. The other ai flight of this cycle used to do their thing just fine at the tanker and then leave so that my flight can get a drink. Now with this new patch, ai aircraft are getting stuck at the tanker and not leaving. That F18 on the right drogue is totally stuck there. Also, this new 25-degree bank turn feature for refueling aircraft is completely unrealistic and makes a hard task unrealistically harder than it needs to be. According to ATP-56A, the NATO air to air refueling manual, the anchor pattern should be 50nm minimum length, and 20nm wide. 20 nautical miles wide. These tight 25-degree bank turns do not make a 20nm mile wide holding pattern (Annex 4A, Figure 4A Anchor Pattern). The previous 10-degree bank turns were much more realistic for a tanker in a tanker track. Please undo whatever these recent updates were and just go back to the old code.   2. You can’t assign stack altitudes in the me for the ai flights. Once they hit the last waypoint before landing, they are going to fly whatever altitudes and route and speed and holding and landing patterns that they are going to do and you have no control over it.
  3. The ai will follow the proper procedures and stack in the port holding independent of what the player does. Where you stack is up to you. The game atc will not tell you.
  4. It is auto triggered at 5 miles. But nothing happens unless you start the process with the 50 mile initial call.
  5. When you get within 5 miles of the ship, you will auto report overhead. If there is no immediate reply from the ship, then you should enter the stack. Once the ship is ready for you, you will get a radio call telling you that your signal is charlie. You should get that call as soon as the last aircraft of the preceding flight that the atc has sequenced ahead of you has trapped. That is your cue to leave the stack and fly into your landing break. If there are other ai flights, you can see them also circling over the ship awaiting their charlie signal.

  7. Do you have the Su-30 mod? From other reports here of supercarrier not working after this last update, it sounds like it might be due to this mod.
  8. This is besides the point of the circular orbit function being broken, but tankers should be flying racetracks, not circular patterns. That would be a lot of work to be tanking while flying in a continuous circle.
  9. Yes, only with getting the aircraft moving. The new automatic chocking feature when you park seems to get something out of phase with the brakes.
  10. I haven’t had any problems with the directors not working. I have a key binded to both the salute and call ball radio calls and have just been using that keystroke this whole time.But this is definitely a bug and you should attach a track for them.
  11. I’ve run into this too. Landed F18 on the ship, directed to parking spot, flipped around, hot refuelled for another couple of traps, then could not taxi out. Stuck. The workaround seems to be to cycle the parking brake and pump the brakes a few times beforehand. I do that now and the plane can taxi out again.
  12. My dcs had already been updated to the 6/5/24 update last week, with the kiowa warrior availability. But on tuesday 6/11/24, when I started dcs, it showed another update was available. As usual, I selected to run the update. This one went extremely fast. But when dcs started afterwards, the problems started with the pua detections by windows defender. I indicated the build version displaying on my start wrapper in my first post on the previous page. So if 6/5 was really the latest update and truly nothing since, then somebody might be hijacking the dcs updater.
  13. So…then this is not dcs’ problem and it’s just left up to each of us individually to just tell our microsoft defender or whatever antivirus to ‘ignore’ this find? Is that the consensus? But what happens if we encounter this virus for real from somewhere else? Does it just get through then? And also, I just want to make sure that there was indeed another update since the one posted in the changelog on 6/5/24? That my dcs updater did not somehow get hijacked during the update check into downloading an actual virus from another site mimicking dcs?
  14. Just saw another update since the one that added the kiowa warrior and updated dcs to 2.9.5.55918. Whenever I start dcs now, windows defender pops up with pua:win32/Vigua.A and pua:win32/GameHack Anybody else seeing this? Is this a false? What should I do?

  16. What am I missing here? Trying to set a mark point according to the manuals but have had no success calling it up afterwards. Initially designated a target in hud, then used atflir to refine the point, pushed down on the tdc each time. Tried it with atflir reticle in scene and designation modes. Pushed the mk button on hsi, saw the mk# increment. Then when I go to cycle hsi waypoints up and down, the mk point is nowhere to be found. Just the mission waypoints created in the editor. Has anybody else been able to make use of this function? How?
  17. I don’t have any mods, just purchased addons and some airplane skins. I will look at your track.

If the map can go from guadalcanal to rabaul, that would be best and allow full missions built to take off and land from the japanese side to allow full utilisation of the zero and the betty and as well as not to be just an american centric sim. IL2’s guadalcanal map stretched from guadalcanal to buka, allowing at least some missions to be built that allowed one to fully play the japanese side. Although the missions still required the betty bombers to spawn and despawn in the air as rabaul was off the left edge of the map. And in IL2, different maps covering different time periods for airfield and cultural changes allowed for progression from 1942-1944 in the sim. Covering the surrounding waters would also be good because there were carrier battles, eastern solomons and santa cruz, that can then be fully simulated. So if a map that stretches from henderson to kavieng can be made, that would be awesome.
  19. Just noticed a small bug. The wheels of the smerch mlrs do not roll when the vehicle is rolling.
  20. Several times, I have found that after exiting padlock, the view is stuck staring straight up to the zenith of the canopy and cannot return to any sort of regular forward view. Cycling padlock of and on does nothing. It only returns to a straight up view to space.
  21. The only way it seems to reliably get random to work is to have it set a flag at mission start. So I would have a whole bunch of different random flags set at the beginning and then use one of those as a flag true or false later on with whatever I wanted done randomly. It seems as through if random is coupled with another condition then it just always returns as true. Seems to be the only way to get random to work is to keep it alone in the condition.
  22. The invincible buildings in the caucasus issue is indeed fixed now. Any chance of fixing the invincible buildings on the marianas map as well on the next update?
  23. Here is a trk showing how indestructible one random civilian commercial structure on the marianas map is. Hit by two flights of H6 bombers dropping dumb bombs and then six cruise missiles, the 'shop' building at the port is unscathed after the fire dies out. While a separate flight of H6s that carpet bomb the Lockwood Terrace residential neighborhood does manage to leave a few houses destroyed. BOMB INEFFECTIVE_1.trk
