Ya casual formation flying is amazing also the AAR skills is improved when done in VR , also Air to Air combat rely on radar so you dont need to see the target but CAS is a No

Air to Air combat whether in F15 , Su 27 is doable with no problem , i ve been with VR for 3 years and Air to Air combat is no problem with no labels and PD at 1.5 . however any strike mission be it with A10 or Harrier . is near impossible ( if you want to do a perfect job destroying target) . i have to go back to my 4K monitor if i wanted to enjoy the Harrier and the A10 to its fullest . poeple will tell you otherwise those are VR fans but reality is that when it comes to Mud moving VR is difficult.

One thing you need ti do is when you doing AAR never focus on the BOOM always try to focus at the under belly of the Tanker and maintain a steady distance between you and the tanker . i always find that if you focus on the Tanker never gives you that feeling you get when you focus on the BOOM , let alone that the BOOM keeps moving . keep your distance steady , follow the light indicator under the tanker and the BOOM should connect easily . Practice , practice , practice . i was there before now i can refuel the while drinking my coffee literally no joke in the F15 though

when you go to Oculus Home , Settings tab what is the status of your sensors. is it Green or do you have any yellow triangle with elimination mark

If i understand you correctly , well that 8 way Hat is called master mode . i you are in trim mode ( long press ) and lets say you trim the aircraft . short press on the button automatically will center the trim no need to assign it in DCS since its programmed in the firmware . the button press doesnt register as a press by defualt so you cant assign it in DCS how ever using the DEVcfg software im sure you can make it register as a press button i just dont know how.

he is not talking about reading the textures in the cockpit itself , he is talking about seeing the outside world , the Only problem with VR right now is that everything outside the Cockpit is like looking thru a stream of water , you cant really see anything unless its huge the size of AWACS and very close .oh and against the sky and not against the ground.

can you start WIZZO GF and see on the top right what version of Firmware is installed ? mine came with version 1.91 and the latest version was 1.92 so i had to update . if yours comes updated so no need to but if it comes 1.91 you need to update since there was reported problems on that version
