  1. Nice! A fellow "Ricardian" :P And with a 3D cockpit too.. oh thats just perfect, seriously :joystick:
  2. If your budget allows it, its not that much though, get the Corsair H50 or H70. I got the H70 and I have an i7 Nehalem at stock for the time being, I plan to kick it at 3.5 sometime. Right now at stock it has around 20c at idle and 30-35c at full.
  3. ATC can provide you with wind conditions. But IMO I think its better to learn to trust your guts. Practice makes perfect so.... practice every day.
  4. you must really really want to know the next module right? :music_whistling:
  5. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=62684 Full version here
  6. thx for clarifying this :book:
  7. They didn't exactly said when. But searching through the Simulation research forum does not give me any clue about what is going to be released next. Saying though that the next module is going to be USA fixed wing certainly narrows down the list a lot. I'll say its between F-14 - F-15 - F-16 - F-18. And the fact that they asked for pictures (not info) on F-22 cockpit doesn't mean they are going to sim it. I means that they are pushing the sim era further into the 21st century.
  8. Black Shark is indeed very special, being the flagship of DCS series while many more modules still to come will make it even more special. And the best thing about it is that it will get upgraded each time (hopefully) a new module is being released.
  9. The Ka-50 looks awesome too
  10. good call +1
  11. Now thats some good info there. Edit: Hold on a sec... How do I know the brakes are using the left or right hyd system?.. oh right, the anti-skid shouldn't work if its right.. sorry didn't sleep good last night :P
  12. I always thought that lever was a parking brake.. the more and more I get familiarize myself with this plane I have the feeling that is not complete (not the sim, but the actual RL plane). No parking brake, no speed brake indication (having to look either side of the plane is indeed very practical but still I want to look at my direction especially when I'm landing), no pitot heat indication (or is there?... I mean I don't know if there is no other way to know if pitot heat is actually ON unless the damage is already done). Anyhow.. back to topic. I sure would like to see a solution to this. Some chocks wouldn't hurt, they are implemented on Su-33 before take-off from the Kuz, so why not implement them on A-10C?
  13. Read my post please :wallbash:
  14. Lucky you! Its already out :P Jokes aside: The O/A-10C is exactly the same as A-10C. The designation OA-10C is just assigned to express the purpose of the aircrafts' current mission purpose which is in the case of O/A-10C an AFAC.
  15. If you can't afford the HOTAS Warthog then I would suggest the X-52 pro or X-65 with a Logitech G series keyboard to compensate the workload.
  16. Coaxial rotors and lack of funds gave a small push too to that decision I think, no?
  17. Thats the F-15E from DCS: A-10C I believe.
  18. This thread is probably the fastest developing thread I've seen.. 5 to 6 pages in 15 minutes
  19. ON IT!!!!!!!!!!
  20. How did you managed to rig the TIR to the side and behind you? Impressive setup.
  21. I'm sooooooooo gonna fire up FC2 once this is released. :joystick:
  22. Give us a break too.. we are waiting for beta 6 only God knows how long :P
  23. That actually works.. I have no idea how I missed that before. Although I don't like this "every frame" concept.. I wonder how much impact it has. That doesn't work IIRC. Really strange. Only "512 every frame" works. And its really fps hungry, especially with Mavericks. IIRC the TGP is a little bit smoother. I'm going to give all modes a try one more time when I finish work. I bet it has something to do with the new drivers. I remember very well a couple of months ago on beta 4 (before the new nvidia drivers) that it didn't work. I bet those new drivers must have something to do with it.
  24. yeah!!! Su-33 FTW!!! :D About time for this beauty to get a proper facelift.
  25. That's a good question. But read again my post. I said that it could be simple by simply having control of the aircraft while you are on the back seat. I don't see any reason why shouldn't I have control of the aircraft with my HOTAS if I seat on the back. Is it unrealistic? Yes. It is a good solution though. Be able to fly (and fight) the aircraft regardless of which seat you are. Sure, some systems like MFDs, CDUs that really needs a mouse to operate faster and more efficient should be excluded but simpler tasks like controlling the A/C, controlling the autopilot, flaps, gear, lights, radio etc etc etc I think the most logical thing to do is to make them usable using HOTAS or keyboard commands regardless if you are front or back.
