Yeah, I think this super-mod will make the game 200 times more realistic but it'll also present features that will allow you to manipulate units and issue orders easier and faster. Edit: I do hope they make full blown map(s) of various provinces of REAL Afghanistan or Iraq.

I bought Arrowhead and BAF only. I didn't buy the original ARMA2 or PMC. All DLC plus the main game are together, so you don't need a separate .exe for each one. you can choose any campaign from BAF, Arrowhead or PMC in the campaigns menu or in single missions scenarios menu. Its all in one. As for the Steam version - I bought them from Steam but you don't necessarily have to launch steam to load the game. you can find the .exe in the steam directory (don't remember exactly where now cos I'm at work) and make a shortcut to your desktop or game folder and launch without steam. IMHO I think Steam is better cos it'll automatically upgrade/patch your game (any game you purchase) without any trouble. Its all done automatically.

Yeah that maybe true. The Raytheon AN/APG-82 is something else (I think that's the one), some may still use the AN/APG-63(v)3 though. I'm not really an expert on Strike Eagles but definitely this aircraft has to get modelled sometime in the future.

Its interesting to know that F-15E is using EGI and OBOGS (not to mention that the left throttle is the same as A-10C). I wonder how many more similarities those 2 aircraft have.

Perhaps a quiz? I registered one time in some forums that required to choose the correct answer out of 4 from a question that had something to do with the theme of the forums. Perhaps 3-4 simple "security" questions should do. e.g.: What kind of rotor system is used on the Ka-50? 1) Intermeshing rotors 2) Co-axial rotors 3) Tandem rotors I believe that should keep the spammers at bay. Well, until they figure out a way to get pass.

Ross Kemp in Afghanistan and Ross Kemp Return to Afghanistan (5 ep. each series) are the only documentaries worth seeing about Afghanistan IMHO. It covers everything but politics. And its really interesting to know that Talibans are not just Afghans, they are comprised by Afghans, Iranians, Uzbeks, Tajikistanis, Kyrgistanis, Pakistanis and even Chechens. Its more like a national organization than local. And they'll never stop, one who is not fighting for Jihad can never fully understand the determination of those people.

I agree that ED has still a long way to get the sim more "noob" friendly, but as I said in my previous post: Just check the box in options menu for simple avionics, leave it unchecked for advance flight modeling. As for the training missions - From the 1st DCS title to the 2nd... A GIGANTIC step forward from ED. I'm extremely happy with the new training regime, even my grandma can learn. And the flight manual is not just an option. Is THE only way to fly properly this sim. 700 pages are not there for a publicity stunt, they will teach you everything about A-10C.

Don't forget that water is modeled even under the ground in TFCSE, so basically is all over the place. Having water like FSX will kneel down 95% of consumer based PCs.

Do you have a LEGAL copy or did you download a cracked version. I'm not judging you, but someone might have mislead you. The fact that you don't have PDF manual inside the directory seems... strange. you can contact directly the support center with an email and make sure to write down your serial number to verify if you have indeed a legal and most importantly a working version of the game.

90's for me too, I had very similar experiences as well with my first sim - Su-27 Flanker from Eagle Dynamics and the (TFC) Flying Legends in 1995 (found the demo from a disk with 500+ pc and dos games:P) I visited the nearest store and there it was in the middle of all those good-looking-packaging flight sim games around it.. but I knew all of them were nothing in reality against this one. Even the manager tried to convince me not to buy it because it had crappy graphics, but I wasn't interested for cool graphics :joystick: Most of you guys are like ancient history to me regarding flight sims though :music_whistling:

Just checked the website and used the Google translator to get a grip. Seriously, either the guy who wrote that has leaked info from ED devs or he's just daydreaming, and by the things he wrote I'm sure its the latter. Edit: Oh sorry, just saw the above post from Swift. Didn't know that.

I would wait for the final manual. Although what's the point asking for ED to do it if you can do it yourself. Its not gonna cost you less or even take less time if ED does the job. As for an A5 size, any digital printer house will be able to do it even if you give them a PDF with A4 dimensions.

And now I just started banging my head on the wall.. If I just waited 2 weeks :doh:

Patch 1.57 is out. It greatly increased my fps (5-10).
