  1. We've been round this fight before, by that logic, the ultimate CAS platform is a B-52.
  2. Leatherneck Simulations is a company in direct competition with RAZBAM for modules. Why would they ever, without a hefty licensing fee, give their code away to RAZBAM to use?
  3. That's LN's code, so no they don't get to use it.
  4. Mi-24P is already on BelSimTek's list.
  5. This won't change that. F-35s are being produced and already more or less paid for. This will mean ramming another huge procurement through congress, at a time when politically they are trying to claim fiscal responsibility. That's gonna take a lot of time and haggling. Where does that money come from? The F-35 program? So you'd be subbing F-35s for SHornets, ones that have never been built before, and on a relatively short run. By the time they ramp up to production, it'll be years down the line and billions over budget. Or you can do the sensible thing. Work out a deal for a cheaper block buy and let the F-35C and B ramp up on schedule and get the replacements sooner and closer to a reasonable budget.

    RAZBAM MiG-19

Any chance of R-13M (AA-2C) compatibility as well?
  7. Yes but it's an incredibly simple system from a sim perspective.
  8. LAU-10 (FFR x 4 HE) - ZUNI's, big 5in rockets. Pack a punch, don't get many. LAU61C (FFR x 19 HE) - 2.75in rockets, Mk 66 LAU61C (FFR x 19 WP) - White Phosphorous version LAU68D (FFR x 7 Practice) - Training Version LAU68D (FFR x 7 HE) - 2.75in rockets, Mk 66. Same rocket, different launcher LAU68D (FFR x 7 WP) - White Phosphorous LAU68D (FFR x 7 Parachute illumination) - huge bright flare, parachute deploys and slows the fall LAU68D (FFR x 7 Practice smoke) - Smoke bomb version of the warhead for accuracy training. FFR = Free Flying Rocket HE = High Explosive WP = White Phosphorous Hey Zeus, since you guys are making a Laser Maverick, any thoughts on APKWS?
  9. Out of curiosity, why no JDAM? Even without the Digitally Improved Triple Ejector Racks, it should still be able to carry them on the standard pylons.
  10. The plan, as they've articulated before, is that after ED releases their ground radar to the 3rd party developers, there is a high chance they will do an AV-8B+ as well. Whether or not that will be the first radar equipped aircraft they intend to do or whatever decision they make from a distribution standpoint hasn't yet been mentioned.
  11. I count six. Tank, GBU and Sidewinder.
  12. Ive never seen an AV-8B with the horns on the nose. Isn't that a GR.9?
  13. And hardware without software gives you the A-16's 30mm gunpod.
  14. Yeah but AV-8Bs can't mount anything else in the pod locations so It's almost as good as
  15. That was one of the big deals about the F-35. By baking the coatings into the skin, the topcoats need to be reapplied less often. In terms of coatings, the F-35 is the least maintenance intensive of the Stealth aircraft. It was also designed to be "One Deep", so you could access parts with the absolute minimum of disassembly of the rest of the airframe.
  16. It is absolutely possible and was done.
  17. Exactly. The press is just being sensationalist. They love to throw out big numbers and interview people like Pierre Sprey (who is an idiot) in order to throw out clickbait headlines. But when you actually look at the numbers, the price is starting to beat out the 4.5 Eurocannards, the pilots adore it, and it just when 15:1 in Red Flag 17-1, and its primary role isn't even air to air.
  18. It's classified information that's the problem, not publicly available research.
  19. Right now, they are working on the AV-8B (NA) Harrier II. In the future, after the F-18 is completed and data for its radar is released, they plan to revisit for an AV-8B+ Harrier II. Originally, the plan was for a GR.7 to be followed up by a GR.9, however due to certain information not being available on the British version, this was changed. If they can get the additional information they need, they said they will consider doing the British harriers as well, but as of now, the only thing that is properly planned is the AV-8B(NA) and AV-8B+.
  20. Yep.
  21. No it's not. It's a Laser Spot Tracker and FLIR (Forward Looking InfraRed). LSTs don't lase anything, they're used to detect lasing.
  22. The real question though is will they include DITERs for maximum JDAM and LJDAM carnage.
  23. Must... Not... Ask for... Release.... Sounding good :P
  24. I'd be the same way if I didn't love the Scooter so much
