*** Official Caucasus mini-campaign for DCS:Viggen (BETA) ***
david.lind replied to RagnarDa's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
I had to open the missions in the editor and change the slots to client for MP to work. -
Pretty sure. The declination changes depending on what year the mission is "dated".

There is a keyboard command to set default view, (setting your default head position for an aircraft). Sounds like you have managed to press that whilst looking down and left. On the top of my head I can't remember the command, probably ALT.CTRL Num 0. So you need to reset you default view to where you want it. then pressing NUM5 or centring TrackIR will go to that position.

Slightly off topic but this is the only weather-mod I know about :) So here's a thing that has been bugging me for a while, when running op's with dedicated ATC controller's It would be very nice to be able to "poll" the airfield for weather information. I believe that when using dynamic weather the AI-ATC still gives correct QFE and winds, even thou these are changing as the weather changes. So if one would be able to extract this data radio-F10 or periodic messages to a certain player controlled unit (combined arms), then a person working TWR/GND functions in games could be presented with the current weather (QFE & Wind). This allowing for the use of dynamic and "changing" weather in multiplayer environments with people "playing" ATC crew. Has anyone in here done any work pertaining weather info, and how to fetch it?. (The problem of course become's expanded when you start looking at Viggen road-bases and carrier operations. I suppose you then want local weather information attached to a unit/group's position in game.) Best D

There's a bug with the range in current build limiting to tens of kilometers IIRC.. Try 10km distance.
-
If you use dynamic weather the pressure changes over time or? for a given location?

[REPORTED]RADAR detects late activation units (again, ED)
david.lind replied to Pikey's topic in Bugs and Problems
Does this fix have an effect on the errant RWR performance? https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3039260&postcount=1 -
Dreaming a-bit here, but transferring the kneeboard info into a user-mark on the F10 containing the read-out would be, very handy and more presentable (documentation/screenshot friendly). And in an MP scenario like blue-flag you could see viggen's chasing down user dropped EW and SAM's. -- Dreaming even more, is of course an SF variant that creates user-marks on where it's pictures are taken with a link to look at the picture :) /D

spend some time in the F10map planning my route and this is how it looks after awhile. wingman had the same, thing. dynamic weather, vaziani
-
yepp, same thing

Lost parts of my left wing today, there was a light or something (dident turn on), floating there as-well. (if a list is being made)

Dear Leathernecks. I tried setting up an ECM range to get familiar with RWR sounds. Problem is when I via trigger turn off the unit radar, the RWR keeps receiving the signal. So a unit that has been "active" is still shown on the RWR even thou. Alarmstate is Green. Unit AI is OFF. and Unit Emission is OFF. (not needed but still dosen't remove RWR hit) -- I tested the triggers with an A10C, and the triggers work just fine. I does stop transmitting when killing the unit in question. I went 15mil out and back and that did not help. tested both SA19 and SA8 tested with and w/o U/22A. Best Regards D

Dear leatherneck's. Any word on radio export's so Tacno and Ciribob can work their magic on the radios, and we can enjoy some proper radio's? I apologise if this has been mentioned elsewhere. Best Regards D

I've had two DCS crashes when turning to BER when taxying of the active, and normally there's a large (singular) stutter associated with the switch to BER. (This as a Multiplayer host) Presuming it's writing something, most likely the recon stuff for the kneeboard.

So I was trying to figure out if I could use the lat/long BAD to drop on coordinates. (should be able to deduct BAD from given target coordinates (LAT/LONG) and add as BAD to get an correct IP) Is this working atm. or another WIP? Feel's to me like the Lat/Long BAD is "counting" from the "drifted" position no the updated waypoint?. Recommend active/pause when testing this as otherwise there's a lot of flying involved  /d

Sunset Forest 50FPS loss
david.lind replied to david.lind's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
I dunno, run's fine at time 1920, lot's of long shadows from the tree's. At 2120 it's so dark you can't make out the shadows, would be a pity if that's where the frames drop from. If you look at the expanded FPS counts, it hit's the "Present" frames (75). Unknown to me what Present stands for. -
I loose 50 FPS low level over trees if I set the time to 21:20. :joystick: With and without (repair) mods. No biggie I just avoid sunset's and tree's. But something is amiss. :smilewink:

Pre-mission planning (AJS-37 + Other aircraft)
david.lind replied to Ice_Cougar's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Ok so coming from playing multiplayer op's with slightly longer planning phases, using ATO's, GoogleEarth overlays e.t.c. I would be really nice with a small stand-alone application, that generates files in saved-game's folder. being picked up when entering an Viggen in game. Containing (frequency presets, waypoints, ordnance options e.t.c.) Thats how I interpreted "Data input / output interface and pre-planned data cartridge functionality." sort of like https://gliptal.github.io/cartridger/ /D -
It goes crazy when you try the left-click and drag way of manipulating it. (should work like the A10's formationlights or altimeter?)
-
Was this picked up by smiley? Explains a lot of troubles with cross-wind landings.
-
Any chance to get this working with LotATC?

Last night coming back from a 2,5 hour mission, (1h QRA) I experienced a "large" amount of idle trust, I used no power, and a lot of breaks to taxy back to the ramp. (latest 1.5.4, rainy conditions, UGKS09, WND 027 @ 8knt). When parking the parking break and/or normal breaks could not hold the aircraft still, I did manage to stop the A/C by a full nosewheel turn, and a quick engine shut-down. I did not experience the same factors when starting up. (at least not to the same extent) Leaving me with two questions. - Is damage/wear to the breaks modelled?, i.e. if I break to much to I loose breaking power? - Is there an inadvertent build up of idle trust? making the A/C faster at idle the longer you are airborne? (Could explain some of the speed and landing threads on the forum) /D

The interval in the table on the first post has AG mix with a 10xHigher release rate than other programs, I think it's a typo in your table. Does the Panic release "override" an active program?
