  1. I think you misunderstand. My camera view is no problem. The actual hud text is very large. in IFFC test. there are some line that dissapear off the hud as they do not fit in the space. All I see looking forwards is the ladder, ALT and speed indications are off to the side, forcing me to my my camera horizontally to see them
  2. Since the latest patch and switching to standalone, im fiding my hud font to be incredibly large, so that all the data does not appear on it, I have to shift my view side to side to see my waypoint info for example.. Is there a setting to alter this?

  6. Yes, it does work pretty well. I am using the Desert 3.0 pack and have noticed that the IR modes are reveresed, I think due to the colour change of the ground units. For examples BTR have desert hull and black tires in WHOT mode, Hull is dark, tires are white. In BHOT mode, Hull is white and tires and black. I have better results just using CCD now, with high MFD resolution. I feel that the IR modes just swap Colours rather than having a form of dedicated heat map, so dark appears light and light dark, I also see this from terrain. A are of terrain suddenly becomes bright or dark in BHOT or WHOT depending on its texture or colour, which makes no sense.
  7. Im not gonna hold my breath for this tbh. NTTR is not really appealing to me.

Starting to feel like 2.0 and NTTR is the only priority atm, despite dev blogs etc. I am also starting to feel that people are expected to run NTTR to fix issues that should really be fixed despite theatres. Another solution is to run a Terrain mod, such as Desert 3.0, which is fantastic. It does not totally solve the problem, but it does help.

  10. I have tried this now, thankyou for the help. It does, however seem rather crude, the bombs activate the trigger when they enter the zone, rather than hit the runway, so in effect the bombs can pass through the zone and hit something else. Also the trigger zone can only be a circle, Is there a way of setting a rectangle to match the runway? Thankyou for the help, mission creator noob here.
  11. Im trying to setup a mission to attack a runway, but I seem unable to get a trigger to work, The runway would be cratered and this signals that the objective is complete. IS it possible to set the runway as an objective?# Thanks!
  12. Perhaps consider a new Skylake Pentium or i3. DCS uses no more than two cores and the Pentiums overclock well. Then when funds allow you could swap to an i5/i7.
  13. I have been slowly working my way through some the KA50 Deployment campaign, converting some of the mission to the Mi8, If anyone is interested, I can upload them here.. Unfortunately I am pretty crap with the Mi8 so I am not able to extensively test, some of the missions are quite challenging..

  15. The T-Flight is very good for the money, I used it for a very long time, cant fault it for the Mig15, Sabre, even the KA50. It is so cheap that if you dont really play much it wont be a big loss. I would definitely start with the MIG 15 of Sabre myself if you want planes, they are both very very nice. Probably the Sabre as it can do a bit more AG as well.
  16. Select QuickStart Target practice, Bind controls, shoot stuff. Figure out all the gauges and stuff afterwards. Learn to start it when I'm going to play MP and have to.

  22. As a side topic to this, is it possible to change the default views? I find the Left hand seat to have a really weird POV.

  24. I wish it was transport, but its a Strike package. The Miniguns are effective, but you do need to get within 1km as they take quite a few hits. TBH there isnt much the miniguns cant kill, the only thing I have failed with is tanks, Arty and APC's are no issues.
  25. I've been doing a few MP sessions on 104th, the huey areas are covered with 23mm ZSU close (not sure if thats the right name) and I am stuggling with them a bit. A single accurate burst kills the bird. Any tips? Im assumming long range with rockets, which will take a lot of practice (I can use guns quite well upto 2km ish max, but I suck with rockets.
