  1. Hey Cobra any idea when this will drop? No pressure and I'm happy to be getting any updates:) Just wanted to know about when so I don't have to check DCS forums every couple of hours lol:D
  2. With one 4k monitor you'd be able to run 30-45fps on a single Gtx 970 provided everything else in your system is up to date. If looks pretty good and runs relatively smooth. I went ahead and went SLI and got a second Gtx 970. I'm able to get steady over 60fps Now. As high as the 90s depending on the terrain and height I'm flying.
  3. Really the only place you could go wrong and short yourself would be if Nvidia came out with a new line of cards before DCS 2.0 releases. It looks like that won't be the case as ED has stated they intend to get 2.0 by around June. Also the OP stated he already had a GTX 970 so short of upgrading his existing card to something different which would really cost alot it would definitely be a pretty safe bet to upgrade to SLI as ED had already started that we can expect 2.0 to run faster on existing system setups because it does a much better job utilizing modern hardware. I guess in short if you intend to get the longest life out of your setup SLI is the way to go. You'll be faster than anything else available with the exception of going GTX 980 SLI or Titan. The 4770K is a great chipset and certainly doesn't need upgrading. I'm running SLI Now off of a Rosewill 750W Gold Power Supply and it runs great. Not sure on 650 though.
  4. I'm running dual 970s in SLI driving a 4K display and a secondary 1080P display for my MFCDs. I'm getting 70-90 Fps. Up from 30-45fps with one gtx 970. It was actually a huge jump in performance for me.
  5. I currently use two Aura bass shakers. This is very interesting for me as well. I'll donate for sure!
  6. Can't wait for the update. That picture looks awesome! Cobra thank you again for taking the time and effort to update us. It is very much appreciated! Leatherneck is setting a standard that no one else is able to match in this community.
  7. Excited for the update. And Cobra thank you for the updates you've already given us! We need to stay mindful of the fact that Leatherneck is giving us more info and updates than any other developer. So let's be a little less demanding and appreciate the insight they are giving us!
  8. Yes! Agreed! Hopefully something pops out soon cause we really have no multirole choices and it's very frustrating in DCS. I really hope the F-14 that LN is releasing has AG capability too.
  9. Are you running SLI? If so I just upgraded this week and ran into issues. The solution was to change the refresh from 60Hz to 59Hz and everything works perfectly. Nvidia is working on a fix. Not sure if that applies to you or not. But it had me frustrated until I found a solution.
  10. Solved my problem!!! I did some extensive searching. Appearantly Nvidia GTX 980s and 970s are having an SLI issue with 4K TV 60Hz HDMI 2.0 connections. Nvidia has acknowledged it and is working on a fix. the 980s and 970s work perfectly at 60Hz by themselves but have a crazy green flicker or just a flicker in SLI at 60Hz. I found a suggestion to adjust the refresh from 60Hz to 59Hz and bam! Everything is working perfectly! FPS in DCS at 4k is now in the 60s-80s Loving it! So if anyone else runs into this hopefully this will help you!
  11. Unfortunately no. Thanks hope that's the issue.
  12. None with the cards just one with my ASUS MB and it had a kink in it. I'm pretty sure that was the issue. I really hope this new bridge arriving from Amazon tomorrow solves my issues.
  13. I'm using at 4K 50" Vizio connected at 3840x2160 60Hz with a HDMI 2.0 Cable connected from the HDMI 2.0 output of one of the GTX970s. It works perfect with each card individually at 4K with about 25-50FPS. Not sure on the Port....how do I check that?...and thanks for the response!
  14. Wow! Great Job! That seat is a work of art!
  15. Hey guys wanted to get some possible ideas. I just purchased another EVGA GTX 970 SSC to go SLI for some extra horsepower for the new cockpit I built with a 4K monitor and another monitor for UltraMFCD(He's already stated he will have it working with Fullscreen mode so I'm good there). Anyway I got the second card installed and I'm having issues with a strobe effect green screen intermixed with my regular graphics. So much it is unplayable. I think it is likely the SLI Bridge. Waiting for another to arrive tomorrow. Unfortunately I didn't have a place to buy one local. I tested both cards in both PCI slots of my ASUS Z97-A MB and they work fine individually. I updated drivers. Checked BIOS to make sure both are set at PCI Gen 3. Anything I'm missing? Does it sound like the SLI Bridge to you guys?
  16. Thank you, yes rails are let intact and seat is adjustable. The cylinder is made of discs of 3/4" MDF bolted together. I can actually adjust the height of the mount. I used two 8", 1/4" Dia hex bolts screwed in from below to two recessed nuts that hammer flat into the top piece.
  17. Thanks! I used good quality velcro, works perfect. Had to cut the little tabs off the back for where the stabilizers were. But they mount flush and are nice and sturdy.
  18. I'm getting 27-50 fps with one Gtx970 at 3840x2160 60Hz.... I'm working on getting my second GTX 970 setup in SLI unfortunately I'm having an issue with what looks like the SLI Bridge. New one on the way delivering tomorrow. So we'll see.
  19. Well 1/2 of the F-14Bs life was spent as a multi-role strike aircraft and most of the combat missions it flew were strike missions.... Not to mention DCS doesn't have a single multi-role aircraft released(yet). As I said I'll fly it either way but I really hope the incorporate some strike ability...
  20. Cobra, when we do get an update could you please let us know if the F-14B will be AG capable. All F-14Bs were strike aircraft from the 90s on(not many F-14Ds were made). I really would love to see that incorporated and many of us are wondering: )… I'll be getting it day one either way I'll just be a little less excited if it's AA only lol
  21. Very well could be. I didn't know 1.4 could do 60Hz.
  22. Interesting. I wasn't able to get full 3820x2160 @ 60Hz with one of my existing HDMI cables. Although I admit I'm not sure if it was 1.3 or 1.4. I bought this cable:http://www.amazon.com/GearIT-High-Speed-Supports-Ethernet-Return/dp/B00HSWI70I/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1429634375&sr=1-2&keywords=HDMI+2.0 which is 2.0 and was immediately able to get the full 4K @ 60Hz out of it. I'm using a Vizio 50" 4K which has 4 4K @30Hz and 1 4K @ 60Hz inputs coming out of the HDMI 2.0 output of my EVGA GTX 970...
  23. I just really hope the F-14B model has AG capabilities like many of the Bs did. This game needs more multirole planes rather than al of the specialized variants we have now. I will buy the F-14 either way because it is one of my favorite planes of all time. If it has AG I will likely spend most of my time in it. If it doesn't then the Hornet will be my home(if and when it ever comes out lol)...
  24. I've had the same experience as Mrwell. The stick is a very big upgrade IMO. The throttle is a nice upgrade too especially with the A-10. No programing needed the game recognizes it abd you get a fully functional Hotas setup. The cougar was a nice piece of kit but I'm very happy with my upgrade.
  25. Ah yes Display Port does support 60Hz
