F-22A Raptor mod enhancement mod
BRAVO_16 replied to Nightstorm's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Are all your updates part of the latest Single Player download? The updated flight data, the updated missile data and MFD updates? My mod crashed now, so I want to do a clean download and install again. -

@Nightstorm I appreciate your time and effort on putting together all the data. Will you feel comfortable to share the current F22.lua as you have it now? I've been making changes to a very old F-15 campaign by feefifofum, by removing the F-15 and using the F-22. An Eye for an Eye v0.9- Single player/2 player for F-15C - Page 9 - Missions and Campaigns - ED Forums (eagle.ru) I recorded a mission last night where I had a dogfight against a MiG-21, which was totally crazy. -

@feefifofum I loved Mission2, and I was trying to change the time of the mission to be at twilight. However, when I change the time of the mission in the mission editor and save as a new mission, it does not take effect. In other words, the original mission time is 21h15. I change it to 17h15 and save. When I load the mission, the mission plays in the middle of the day, with sun right above me. Am I missing something to change the time?

[MOOSE] RAT - Random Air Traffic
BRAVO_16 replied to funkyfranky's topic in Scripting Tips, Tricks & Issues
It is interesting that your Liveries is a stand alone folder. Mine is saved like this- C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\Aircraft\Civil Aircraft Mod\Liveries\A_320 But inside DCS, here is an example for the KA-50- D:\DCS World\Bazar\Liveries\ka-50\german fictional camo 8325 -

Thank you, that makes sense. So in the .lua it can be called anything, the aircraft type is defined when the aircraft object is placed in the editor. As for the liveries/skins, can I only define the liveries saved under Saved Games\DCS\Mods in the .lua script? The reason I ask is because I have a ton of skins inside DCS, in the actual module folder. So if the answer is yes, then I would have to move them out. -

Hallo again everyone. The Cessna script works well so far with a few variations. I want to ask things about other aircraft types. Working with this basic script as an example: local cessna=RAT:New("RAT_cess") cessna:Spawn(25) Does Moose only work with aircraft added under your Saved Games\DCS\Mods? If I change cessna to F-15 for instance, will that work? How does Moose know I want to spawn F-15's? I mean F-15 falls under Flaming Cliffs. My guess is there will have to be a standard name to define each aircraft, is there such a list? Or can I work off of the aircraft folder name found in DCS? Oh, and to everyone out there. If you make use of the Civil Aircraft Mod, there is a .lua file with a lot of examples in, where you can just copy the text out of. Found under - C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\Aircraft\Civil Aircraft Mod\Missions\QuickStart\RAT Script_Caucasus.lua -

I see on Page22 of this thread that you mention putting a timer in between the scripts. That might be the issue. -

Hallo everyone. Please help me, I don't understand what I'm doing wrong? Problem statement- Basic RAT script does not spawn any aircraft. Steps- Here is what I did to spawn Cessna's from the Civilian Aircraft Mod. I started from scratch with a clean mission. Here is the basic script for the Cessna's (file name is RAT_cessna.lua) local cessna=RAT:New("RAT_cess") cessna:Spawn(25) Open DCS Mission Editor > Create New Mission I place airplane group object anywhere on the map. On the Right Side panel- Name of group is RAT_cess Select aircraft Type Cessna P210N Tick box Late Activation On the left of the mission editor screen I click on Set Rules for Trigger, to open the Triggers page. Under Triggers, I click on New. Type is set to 1 Once. I give it a name, Moose Start. Event is set to ON MISSION START Under Actions, I click New. Action is set to DO SCRIPT FILE. File that is chosen is MOOSE.2.5.3.lua Under Triggers, I click on New again. I give it a name, RAT Start. Event is set to ON MISSION START Under Actions, I click New. Action is set to DO SCRIPT FILE. File that is chosen is RAT_cessna.lua I Save the mission file, and launch. Outcome- I spawn into the map like a floating camera. I open the map with F10 and wait a while, but nothing spawns. I have read multiple pages in this thread and tried different things, it feels like I'm doing it over and over and it is not working. Ultimately I want to spawn in F22's and C130's when I get it going. Any help is appreciated. -
Module Manager won't install modules, closes DCS.
BRAVO_16 replied to BRAVO_16's topic in Installation Problems
After extensive troubleshooting I found that when I wanted to uninstall DCS, the DCS Uninstall pointed to a different HDD that did not exist anymore. I copied DCS to mimic that drive, and was able to do a full uninstall. I installed DCS from scratch, and now it finally showed my modules and it started the install for each module, through the DCS Module Manager. This thread can be closed. -

Thank you for your reply. I forgot to mention that I also tried through Skate's Updater. The DCS folder path and Saved games path show green lights. I select the Aircraft Modules and it shows the current installed modules as green. If I select any of the my other modules, it does not give me an option to install. Should I login on Skate's Updater in some way? If I click on Repair in the utility it does nothing? Just so I understand what you are saying; Should I copy my DCS World game folder to another drive and then run a repair? -
Good morning, I'm having the same problem as described in this 2 year old thread- https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=217326 I did a clean install of DCS 2.5 and have been trying to install some of my modules. I start DCS with admin rights and it signs in fine. The module manager shows I have 6 modules that are ready to be installed. I click on OK and DCS instantly closes to the Desktop. If open module manager and scroll down through all the modules to the ones I have, I click on Install and DCS instantly closes to the Desktop. I managed to install some modules via the command line. FC3; A-10C; Ka-50 installed fine this way. If I do DCS_Updater.exe Install UH-1H it starts with, connecting to update servers. Then a small error window, DCS Updater 2.9.16.18 Unknown module uh1h Same thing happens for P-51D Here is the end of the LOG- 00000.082 STATUS: Initializing... 00000.084 INFO : basedir: G:\DCS World\bin 00000.084 INFO : DCS/2.5.6.49798 (x86_64; EN; WORLD,FC3,KA-50,A-10C) 00000.084 INFO : branch: 00000.085 STATUS: Connecting to update servers... 00001.131 INFO : Got reply from http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com 00002.737 INFO : Got reply from srv4update.digitalcombatsimulator.com 00002.740 STATUS: Verifying cached version info... 00003.050 STATUS: Preparing to install p51-d ... 00003.297 ERROR: Unknown module p51-d 00005.102 === Log closed. I even went as far as to manually add the DCS.exe and DCS_Updater.exe to the firewall rules, to allow through public and private networks. Avast Anti-Virus is installed but not showing any issues with DCS. The only other thing I can see, if I R-Click on the DCS World folder, and select Properties, it shows the folder Attributes as Read-Only. Is that normal? PC specs- CPU- i7-2600K RAM- 8GB GPU - Nvidia 1070 8GB I'm stumped, please help me.

Please help me. My PC hardware is quite old, and cannot run DCS 2.5 I want to install DCS 1.5 which runs at decent framerates. My Pc specs: Win10 Pro Version 1809 Processor : Intel i7-2600 @3.40GHz 8GB RAM AMD Radeon HD 6900 80Gb HDD just for DCS. I downloaded DCS_World_1.5.8_web, and ran the installer. I'm not installing the game from Steam. The installer completed and downloaded the game, +-30GB in size. When I launch the game, I get this screen- Attached is the log file. [dcs.log-20200404-062528.zip] [image 001.png] [image 002.png] Then I found this thread about editing the options.lua file. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=225886 Which explains to edit autologin from true to false. “open it in the text editor find the section "miscellaneous"] = then the value: ["autologin"] = true, change true to false save options.lua file and run DCS “ After making that change, I launch DCS 1.5 again. It prompts me to login. [image 003.png] I put in my credentials, and then I'm back here- Attached is the log file. [dcs.log-20200404-083640.zip] [image 002.png] I then decided to attempt to force the updater, to update to a specific version. Via command prompt- [image 004.png] It prompts for login again, and the I'm back at- [dcs.log-20200404-084254.zip] [image 005.png] So where to from here? Does DCS 1.5 work in Win10? Once I manage to launch the game, will I be able to install Modules? [i have a few] Any suggestions welcome. dcs.log-20200404-062528.zip dcs.log-20200404-083640.zip dcs.log-20200404-084254.zip

If you want to use the skin under a different country, you need to edit the description.lua file for that livery. The last line in the .lua file shows countries. You can add or remove countries, and this should make the skin selectable for different countries. countries = ("USA", "RUS", "FRA", "UKR", "SPN", "NETH", "TUR", "BEL", "GER", "NOR", "CAN", "DEN" , "UK", GRG")
