  1. Oh yes - A very beautiful Hornet+Cockpit. Many thanks for that interesting link- Thanks a lot. Okay-Back to topic:pilotfly: best wishes, TOM
  2. Dear Beczl, absolutly great job- I love that MiG21 with that very nice cockpit. One question please: Is it possible to replace the stock F15-cockpit while using the MFD`s and HUDs by the F15 for a F-18 Hornet pit? Isit possible to update the position of the MFD`s and HUD? How I can do it? I could trye it for my F-18 model How ever: Very great job- Keep on it:thumbup: My best wishes, TOM
  3. Hi, normally you should have 10 metres-quadrats: Uploaded with ImageShack.us Best wishes, TOM
  4. Hi, yes- It works. But for Singleplayers only. Not for Multiplayers. I don`t know the reason. Sorry guys Tom
  5. Fantastic Job! :notworthy::notworthy::notworthy:
  6. Muharharharhaa :megalol: Great pic :thumbup: About the cockpit-story: I world be very happy if it is possible to make the HUD and MFD`s useable. Not the menue and design-simply the stock MFD`s. So for examble- For a F-16 cockpit the F-15 radar MFD, The F-15 weapon control and the A-10 MFD for using Maverick and TGP`s. Its not the problem to build a cockpit and animate all the analog instruments but its not possible to reanimate the MFD`s and HUD`s ... is it? Best Greetings, TOM
  7. sure guys, I`m a big fan of highly modeled planes but it allways have to useable in online games. So I think that a modern aircraft shape should not have over about 150.000 faces. So these models works very well with actually hardware and it is possible to add a lot of details. The models on following pics have arround 60.000 faces and works very fine together with hundreds of other jets: Uploaded with ImageShack.us But well- ED shows one more time the way into the future and hardware limits still are not an argument.
  8. @ Kuky - You`re damned right. I have exactly the same problems with the DCS F-15 and F-15e Eagles. They simply have to many Polygons : arround 280.000 per plane: thats much to heavy!
  9. Hi, think it is the right thing for this thread: I rebuilded my US Marines and Russian Elite Forces. All guys work well in BS and A-10... US Marine in "contact position" Russian LAW shooter Russian storm trooper in "low ready" ...theese boots are made for walking ... :music_whistling: on the watch ... Out of the DCS-engine : Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us My best wishes, Tom
  10. Some new textures for the FARP, some placed mechanics and ready is the pic: Take off to a Anti-Terror-mission somewere in middle east. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  11. Sometimes I don`t know why I model hundreds of hours again and again. But now I renember: I do it for moments like this :yes: Thank you very much
  12. Thats an real tribute! :thumbup: To ED , to the community, to all the fantastic modders and skiners and movie makers - a fantastic job! :drunk::worthy: My best wishes, TOM
  13. Awesome skins! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: Very cool- You have a lot of talent!
  14. :drunk::beer::notworthy::cheer3nc::thumbsup::clap_2: GREAT STOFF! :thumbup:
  15. hm ... some pics could be helpfull for a start...
  16. I was be able to export my Eagle and MiG29 into the DCS engine. So I edited a small battle overhead Maykop airspace. However- The engine is so wondefull. Great Job ED! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: Oh God! I pray for a air to air fighter as next DCS module and looking forward to it! [/url] PS: The DCS-F15 is unkillable. But I`m pretty sure ED`s next patch will fix it. But I`m not pretty sure how the damage animations work now. So waiting for a DCS-fighter! :smoke:
  17. Hi, I was able to export some of my models into DCS. I really love the new graphic engine. The shadows, the lights - beautiful! Best greetings, Tom
  18. Hallo, thanks for reply. Don`t know- In BS or FC 2 the PNG files work pretty well. Here I have pictures about the same model ... Uploaded with ImageShack.us The damaged wingtips are PNG files too best wishes and greetings Tom
  19. Hi, one more little question: I like to use PNG-files for textures with transparent pieces and sections. I did it in the past basecally for my last F-18C, F-15C and Rafale fighter. I exported my F15 model into the DCS engine ( of course the ED F-15 have so fu:censored:ing many polygons that a two ship of F-15 Eagle will bring down my system into "Frames per year"- tact ) but I had to realize that the engine wasn`t able to show all the PNG textures correctly.:sad_2: So the new ED engine will use the old TGA format only?:pain: Or did I make some mistakes in my option setup by the game? My graphic card is an ATI 5570 - maybe it could be possible that ATI make some troubkes in combination with PNG`s and the new engine?:detective: Uploaded with ImageShack.us My best wishes, TOM PS: That smileys are great - loving that :thumbsup:
  20. Hi, well - I can put the pilot into a anti-g-suit. But I wasn`t able to animate the oxygen hose- well, the animation looks like that the hose was spitted into many parts, attached together and animated step by step- Very good - I can trye it. Thanks for the idea :thumbup:
  21. Russian? :no: No - since generations German- I`m pretty sure about that. However: I have a many Russian friends. BTW- Yesterday night, after some vodka-red bulls I worked a little bit at my pilots project. I forced my pilot to take a seat on my ACES II ejection seat: It was a little bit critically to set the right pivot points but after some minutes I was able to make some small animations. For an god overall look we can copy the pilot into an other project- Here for examble a F-15 Eagle fighter... The pilot takes 2400 vertexes- I think thats a good deal for life rendering ... My best wishes, Tom
  22. Okay so far- I have a brandnew Eagle but for now I need a new pilot Of course my old shape have to go in pension... So at first I start to make photos and search for refferences and materials. The problem: I need a face for my new pilot but I don`t wants to violate copy rights. So the last chance was to take my own face ... so do not scare please: Uploaded with ImageShack.us After I have enough materials I allways start to make the first step by creating the texture. I get some ideas which parts I have to build, how does these parts have to look and how many details I will add ... Uploaded with ImageShack.us Okay and them I start with the head. My pilot wear a helmet and an oxygen mask so we don`t need hairs or eyes but well - If we have to much time we can add it for sure... Uploaded with ImageShack.us The one of most hardest things to build is the hand I thing. Here I start with a gengon with about 6 sites. I started to extrude every single finger and made some parts a little bit bigger. I`m pretty sure some modelers can spend thousands of polygons for only one hand but my job is to get a good result while saving polygons... Uploaded with ImageShack.us After the work is ready I make the edges round and take a texture over it. Next days I will search for a nice hand or use my own hand for a texture- I will see... Uploaded with ImageShack.us Them the work will go easyer: We build a body and a helmet. After we have the dimensions we start to add details as for examble the oxygen mask and put it in colours by our textures Uploaded with ImageShack.us The next step should be the arms, legs and the hands and shous. We very often have to check the dimensions. It depends- so if we want to create a female pilot we have to add short legs, a rounder body and some female attributes. Male pilots are mostly young, hard trained guys around 30 years- so we do it well when we add the pilot i little more sporty... Its a philosophy. The body is a good base for creating the survival vest . We can get the right dimensions... Uploaded with ImageShack.us Mostern NATO naions have standard equipments for thier pilots. But sometimes you can see some private equipments and clothes on photos and pics. So we can give our pilot a "special" look. But carefull: All NATO pilots in LOMAC will wear these "specials" later so its better to make it not to crazy... Uploaded with ImageShack.us Okay- If the men is builded we have to smooth the shapes, wrap it with textures and/ or different materials. Importent: check pivot points for animations later and do not attach parts. So we are able to export these model into other projects Uploaded with ImageShack.us And after some days ... Hurra: I looks just like a crazy jet jockey- Cool eh? Uploaded with ImageShack.us Yap- So I hope that I was be able to bring some new impressions and fun for model makers. At next I will make some pics from my friends and bring them into lockOn. My best wishes to the community, Tom Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  23. the real masters :worthy::worthy::worthy::worthy::worthy: Awesome stoff!
  24. Hey, very fine work. I looking forward of course I`ll use these fine models. Ready to reload: Hope that some day a Rafale or Eurofighter will seen into DCS - as AI of course . Great job, my best wishes, TOM
