Thanks for clearing that up, but do you know the answer to my other question? Which was will the campaign be a lot smother on the current map once DCS 2 is available? Currently I get lagg on some missions due to extra units ect.
-
I know it wasn't set in stone, but they were hoping to have it released before June. I remember reading about this somewhere. I take it we are not that close then if you were hoping to get some screens nearer the time then?
-
Are we not close enough if we are still on course for a June release.
-
I'm hoping something happens because I haven't started the game since I saw the latest videos. I was really enjoying learning about the A10C, but when it came to the missions the game was to laggy for me even on a good computer. Does anyone know if the new graphics engine will cut out a lot of the lagg on the campaign? I'm hoping to play the campaign with both good and smooth graphics. For me it just seem to slow at present, but the new videos look very fast and smooth.

Multiplayer only: Heavy CPU lag for first 10 minutes
joebloggs replied to Hobbnob's topic in Game Performance
Sounds like it's got something to do with your connection if single player is fine. I'd try resetting your router to factory setting and inputting your setting again. -
Agreed, I think you only have to look at the videos that have been posted to see it has been optimized over the current DCS engine.

Are you just confused about the release date or was there something else confusing you? What part of the thread do you find confusing and maybe someone can help out. Edit: Just saw that you said: "Sith is rockstar for posting so much in this thread and keeping things on track" So, I'm abit confused why you're confused now :)

Read the link below, install the program called JSGME, and you cant really go wrong. Even a noob should easily be able to work it out once they have read how to use this program. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=98607

Increase FPS - Pixel Clock

Why would you want to do this if you risk damaging your hardware? -
Can I have a link to that slew of info you have please. I thought this site was where all the information was at, so if you have another site i'd be grateful for the link.

I don't mind when it's released either, but if you are going by the February News letter and then looking at the recent one, you are going to be a little confused whether it's still close to release or not.
-
No offence, but I read over it and didn't see a release date for DCS2 like the poster said. To be honest, it's a good news letter and it's upto date, but it's a bit confusing whether DCS2 is going to be released before the NTTR map or at the same time. They seem to have more going on with the NTTR map then they do DCS2, so in that respect it's not very clear what they intend doing about release.
-
@Cibit - Has that video sped up? I find it difficult to believe that is a true speed we will see.
-
I think when people hear nothing or see nothing they start to suspect something might be wrong. The last I heard it was just tweaking they were doing.
-
If that was the case then surly we would be seeing screen shots. I mean, screen shots are hardly classed as news, are they? A few screen shots wouldn't go amiss just to keep people's interest afloat, it seems people are getting frustrated because their hearing or seeing nothing at all.
-
Cool, but if we don't hear anything, do you think it's still on track to be released before June? I'm just going by the last news letter.
-
Would I be right in thinking that there will be no more news untill DCS 2 is released then? Nothing like new screen shots or videos untill it is released now? As far as news goes, I think I know most of what I need to know about DCS 2, but I was hoping for some videos and screenshots leading up to it's release.
-
Wasn't there some interview with some magazine recently about DCS 2 though? I'm not sure if there was anything significant in this interview, because I didn't want to pay for a magazine just to see what was written about DCS 2. I wasn't sure if it would just going over what I already know about it from these forums.
-
The bit I don't get is why there is no news about DCS 2 or the NTTR map. I mean, if it going to be released before June why are we hearing nothing about it? I thought we would be seeing screen shots, lots of videos and more and more information.

I promise I won't laugh at your voice, but where is the mission LOL. -
How can it be about the Mi-8 when the other guys said it reads like this? I'm a bit confused now.

Thanks for the reply, but it doesn't explain this password you are suppose to put in during installation of a paid mission. Do they send you a password when they send you a key or something? -

I just purchased one, but the installation is a bit hard to take in. I've just got my head around the SUID key and all that, but I have no idea what it means when it asks you to provide the password for installation. These look like really good tutorials, but do they plan on making it a simpler install? Where do I find this password I'm suppose to put in during installation? I'm also still waiting on a key after sending them the SUID. Does anyone know when I should receive this key by email? -
