Where can I get an Air refueling A10C mission from? I want to practice air-refueling and want to start in the air quite close to the Tanker, so I don't have to keep starting from the ground. I know I could probably set one up in the editor, but I have no idea how to use it and I don't have time to look at it yet. Thanks!

I can understand them getting it for free, I just don't understand why they get the new map before everyone else now. I guess that's upto ED what they do though.

But don't they still have the old desert map on the disc they purchased, if they want to play it? I've heard of people still having the desert map they purchased way back then.

Why is it that only those who had the A10C-beta get to take part in an alpha for NTTR? I ask this because you could say the A10C was still in beta when I purchased it. I mean, it's has been patched many times since I purchased it, so it must still have been in beta when I bought it a couple of years ago. I'm also going to hate seeing all the posts and picks of people playing the NTTR map while I'm still stuck on the old map. Can we not have a blackout of pics and topics about NTTR, if they do decide this LOL.

1) So, just to sum up.. I put the QFE the ATC gives me after I request takeoff into the altimiter? He just gave me a QFE of 30.16, so I move the gauge to 3016 on the altimeter? This will give me the altitude over the runway yes? 2) Where do I get the elevation numbers from for the airfield if I want to do it that way?

How come the text is blurred with this app? Especially in the Tad and also quite blurry in the CDU. I thought it might be to do with the setting of the image quality in the app, but that doesn't even work for me, it seems to have no function.

What does QFW and QNF stand for? Also, where do I find out the runway elevation? Sorry for sounding thick, but I have never come across this before. Thanks for the replies.

I just read this somewhere, but I'm not sure what it means. That you are supposed to enter the barometric pressure on the altimeter before take off. Unfortunately, it didn't tell you how to do this and it's the first time I have come across it. What I read tells you to ask for permission to take off and be sure to enter the barometric reading before doing so, but that's all it says. Could someone please explain explain how to do this and what it means? Thanks!

Does anyone else think you look as though you are flying low to the ground even at high altitude? I don't think the Rift has the scale correct, but I don't want to look right through this thread to see if anyone else has picked up on this. Has this already been mentioned?

What about every other top title that goes on sale and I'm not talking DCS Modules. I could list hundreds of top titles that go on sale and eventually make it into the bargain bin. I think ED would lose money if they never had sales, I know I've purchased things I would of never of purchased if it wasn't for the sales. In-fact, I could be called the stupid one, for purchasing things in a sale knowing that I'll never fly them.

People have been speculating about release dates for more then 2 years. I think the next news letter will be significant though. The February one mentioned that an Alpha was nearing, so what can the next news letter say about Edge? What comes after "nearing" apart from close or released? Maybe that's why were not seeing a news letter since Feb.:D

Some people seem to think this isn't the case and that's what's got me thinking.

I don't see the point in opening to just those that purchased the A10C in beta. I mean, they get the map for free as it is, and it would just leave other people frustrated that they couldn't play it. Also, it would be a better test on many computers, like you said.

So they get to test it first and we don't then?

I still don't get it and Raven has confused me even more :) Can someone clear this up and say if it's it only the A10C beta testers that are going to get this NTTR map as an alpha? Sometimes the way these guys word things can lead you to thinking two different things at once :) A bit like in the February news letter, when I took it to mean that DCS 2 was about to be released. Now after looking at what Ravens has said, I'm unsure if this is even going to be an alpha test for use all. edit: On a side not.. How frustrating would it be, if all the A10C beta testers were playing it and not everybody else? Now that would defiantly test your ability to remain calm LoL.

Everyone is talking about new maps and yet we still don't even have DCS 2. The last news letter mentioned they were nearing the time for an alpha release, but that was like 6 weeks ago now. Does anyone know if we are still months away from getting DCS 2? I thought it was imminent after reading the February news letter, it certainly sounded like it was to me.

I just purchased icontrol for the ipad and I have two problems with this program. Does anyone know how to get this setup where I don't see the displays for the MFCD's & CDU on my monitor? I don't see the point of them showing on my monitor aswell as on my ipad and they are nothing but a distraction been on the monitor. I have tried hiding them by unticking them in the icontrol setup, but then they also disappear of my ipad aswell. The other problem is on the ipad cdu display, I can see windows in the background instead of it been on a black back ground Has anyone else had this and how did they fix it?
