Why would you chaff and flare when you are avoiding a tank?

Does anyone know if there's any Team Speak server where fellow pilots can just hop on and learn the ropes with one another? I want to start practicing with other Guys, but don't know where to look. I have so little left to go if I cancel it now I'll have to start all over again. I am getting zero download at the moment though and it's eating my upload speeds by the gallons. What should I do? Cancel it after all this time and so little left to download?

Download speeds are terrible I started downloading this patch 4 hours ago and it's still downloading. I'm on a 200GB with a fibre optic cable connection and normally download a HD movie in minutes. With the Nevada map so close to release, I'm worried its going to take me weeks to download that if a patch takes this long.

Yeah, but I'm getting a download rate of 2.0 MB on a patch that's 2712.1MB. No point having a good connection if the servers slow. I'm trying again, but no doubt I'll time out again at this rate. Update- Edit: Failed again because I timed out. Hope this does get fixed soon because I ordered Nevada and in a couple of weeks it's going to be a much bigger download then this. What's the estimated fix time for this? Or should I say when will the servers allow me to download this quicker? Can I not get the update via a torrent or something that will be much quicker?

Seems to me the sever is running to slow to even do a repair BIGNEWY. I have a very fast connection and the transfer rate on the repair is 0.8 MB at the moment. At this rate I'm going to time out like I keep doing even for a repair.

So are you saying I can't update and play beta 1.5 anymore until ED fix this? It worked ok with my ip on my old computer when updating? I don't have a VNP because they cost money each month.

Now it won't even attempt to update. I am able to get into the beta, but I think it's the wrong version, because it's no-longer trying to update since it failed. I've just installed DCS Beta to a new computer and the patches seem to be taken forever? I have a 150 GB fiber optic broadband connection, but it looks like it's going to take days to download the patches. I don't want to have to keep my computer on days just to download these updates that should take seconds with my connection speed, but I have a transfer rate of 6.5 MB. How can I get this to download quicker? Edit: Now it's just kicked me from the update server with this log file. Can I install my modules on two computers or does it have to be one at a time? I have just bought a new computer and I'm wondering if I have to deactivate my modules. Thanks!

Different thing on this occasion, but how am I supposed to update the Mig 15 without activating it again? I have had the same problems as this guy though. I've lost about 5 activation on the A10C for example and I've no idea why. He's talking about activation issues and this happens on other modules for some people.

Annoying isn't the word, it keeps happening to me also. I always make sure my computer is clean and well maintained, but for some reason some of these patches mess up my game like it does yours. Like telling me certain modules couldn't be updated ect. It's just done this again with the latest patch where it's told me it's unable to update the Mig 15 Bis.

I got a message to say that the Mig 15 couldn't be updated after the latest patch. I'm also unsure if the game has updated now because I pressed cancel when this came up. The Sim does seem to work though, so I'm a bit confused about what I should do. Will a repair solve this issue?

I'm building a new computer and want to know how I deactivate my modules and re-activate them on another computer I build. Do I also have to deactivate these from the beta 1.5 and the other version of DCS? Thanks!

I don't think people want to mess about with other software when Oculus Rift has the best tracking available and an all in one solution. I've just watched a Youtube video of some guy telling everyone how Open Track is easy to setup, but he lost me after about 5 mins LOL.

OMG - I'm such an idiot. I knocked it off by mistake with the Rift on my head LOL. All working now.

I was really looking forward to the crash problems been fixed in the Oculus Rift, but now these have been fixed the re-center key "Key 5" doesn't re-center me anymore. Instead I'm flying with my head either stuck outside of the cockpit or wherever is decides to place my head. Why has the re-enter key stopped working now? I've tried doing a repair and everything else I can think of, but nothing has worked. Any suggestions because it's unplayable without this working?
