  1. Yeah, just lets hope timewarp hasn't been used to it's full potential yet in DCS, because that's the only way we are going to get a smooth experience until maybe Pascal Graphics cards hit the shelves. When I say a smooth experience I mean in the Nevada map with ai added and not just free flight.
  2. The PC specs are what determines if you have a good Rift experience. Just like it's the PC specs that determine what resolution you can best run your games at on your PC monitor. Try running a resolution of say 2560 x 1440 with a Geforce 260 and see if it makes a difference to you FPS in games. I'll guarntee you'lle have a very bad experience on some games if not all of them. I know CV1 uses two screens just like I know it will be 90Hz at-least. I have followed everything about VR since backing Dk1. Can I now ask why are you certain you will get 90FPS though, because originally that's all I asked. I was thinking that maybe the Titan made a huge difference.
  3. I don't think, I know it will use the same Runtime as CV1 for the time being. All been well Runtime 1.0 is being released in March for DK2 and it's the same Runtime that CV1 will be released with. How do you think people are going to continue using the DK2 for development if it's different? Runtime 1.0 has already been released to some developers to get their games and software ready CV1. When you talk about the specs of the Rift itself, it's nothing more then a screen with a higher Res and different lenses. The PC specs are what determines if you have a good Rift experiance just like it's the PC specs that determine what resolution you can best run your PC monitor. DCS wasn't built around VR it was added to it. Meaning the minimum specs you talk about don't apply to having a good VR experience in DCS World. Those specs are are for games that will be build with VR in mind and not just added to existing game like in the case of DCS.
  4. Why, Do you think it will run at less then 90Hz? Most things I've read put it at 90Hz. Quote Luckey When it comes to gaming Luckey said, “You won’t necessarily be able to play all games at max settings on the recommended spec. You will be able to play everything in the Oculus store at a high quality level (90 FPS) on the recommended spec. Personally, I am going to be running the standard rec spec rig to make sure I get the same experience as most users.” I would say 90 FPS has to mean at least 90Hz.
  5. Why is there no sense in comparing the DK2 with CV1? For the time being they will both use the same SDK and Runtime which drives them, so if anything the DK2 should have a better performance in DCS given it only runs at 75FPS and has a lower restitution. I struggle now to get a constant 75FPS in the DK2, so I'm not sure why you think you will get 90FPS with your setup. The Skylake 6700K overclocked has a 20% better performance then an i7 4790K, but I still struggle to get 75FPS and that's in free flight without any AI.
  6. @Rocky- Do you get a constant 75FPS in the Nevada map using DK2? I'm not just talking about free flight either. I really struggle with a Geforce 970 on the Nevade map and my Geforce 970 is overclocked to a stock Geforce 980. Edit - I also have an I7 6700k Overclocked to 4,6Ghz & 16 GB of Corsaur Vengeance DDR4. I'm intrested to know why you think you will get 90 FPS when I can't? Do you think it's down to the Graphics card?
  7. I don't think this effects the Titain GP100, does it? I heard this should be out around April, but the price point :helpsmilie:
  8. Does anyone know if the soon to be released Titian GP100 will run DCS at a constant 75FPS in the Rift and Nevada map? I'd hate to think I was going to purchase a card this expensive only to find out DSC has some type of limit regarding FPS.
  9. I don't see a custom display screen in my setting? I looked under System like in the pic you sure in the link, but I don't see it?
  10. I'm using the Brightness key on the left MFCD to switch between k1 & k2 of the cannon. LCtrl +1 is the key I've been looking to change. Thanks! Do you know the keys for VTB Radar switches by any chance? I want to put it's switch inputs on my other MFCD. Cheers!
  11. I have just done a really good setup for weapons using the Thrustmaster MFCD's The problem is I can only get the cannon to work on K1 and not k2 using a button. I though if I pressed the same button again it would just switch to k2, but it doesn't work. Can anyone tell me if there is a key in the setting that switches to K2 for the cannons? I may as well ask this while I'm here. Are there any keys for the VTB Radar control panel I can set on my MFCD's? Thanks!
  12. What do you guys have the TDC mapped to on you throttle or stick? I'm using the TM Warthog Hotas and I find it to sensitive for the coolie hat. I was then hoping to put it on the the little mouse thing next to the Coolie hat switch, but I think that is an axis switch and I don't see the TDC setting for this in the axis settings in DCS.
  13. I'm using "save as" to save these setting, because I figured if anything went wrong with my settings I would have a backup.
  14. I have just tried setting up the mirage controls in dcs 2.0, but when I try to save it as mirage.diff.lua it doesn't save. I clicked on the load profile tab to see if it had saved, but I don't see it. Setting this up has just taken me over an hour and now I have lost all the setting. I have no way of getting them back unless I do it all over again. Why won't this save so it's easy to get back instead of having to redo this all over again?
  15. All I can say is I'm pleased I didn't uninstall 1.2.
  16. So it won't effect future releases or anything? Can you think of anything it might effect before I uninstall it?
  17. I actually consider myself to be a better pilot then the real thing at that moment. I mean, I'm managing to fly wearing jam jars and my sight is limited to that of a Naked Mole Rat. On top of that there's an earthquake (judder) to contend with, so this has to make me a better pilot.
  18. Can DCS 1.2 be uninstalled? Can DCS 1.2 be uninstalled or should I hold onto it while 1.5 is still in beta? It's just I never even start it now but I'm not sure if it's still needed.
  19. Tacview Home or Professional? I am looking to purchase tacview, but I'm not sure which on o get Home or professional? I like the look of the strategic view in professional, but that's the only thing I would want over the Home edition. Would I really need the Strategic view when I am flying solo at the moment though? I'm kind of stuck not knowing what this view actually does. I liked seeing all the 3D hills and that when I watched a youtube video recently and I'm wondering if this is what the strategic view does? Or do you get the 3D effect with hills in the home edition?
  20. I'm going to buy a dedicated sound card since I only have onboard and its playing through my cushion. What I would like to know is, does SimShaker and Sound Module use the subwoofer connection on a soundcard or some other connection? I'd like this information before buying a Sound Card. Also, does anyone have any good recommendation for a sound card I can buy? Thanks!
  21. My cushion is using the 3.5 mm jack and is a Aura 3D sound cushion, I currently have it plug in to the 3.5mm jack on my speakers using a splitter. That enables me to have sound to my speakers and rumbles to my Ayra cushion. This is one way the instructions tell you to set it up. I don't think it's using the sub woofer connection and it certainly isn't using a usb like the massage chair, it's a petty old cushion that uses its own amp box and I have no software installed. Will these two programs work with it and can some explain where to get them if they do work. Will I also need the sound module aswell as the SimShake? Thanks!
  22. Did I miss the tips about the Mirage 2000? I saw the thread and was hoping to get a head start.
  23. I currently use a cushion that shakes and I haven't installed anything that's mentioned here. The runway effect already rumbles like a runway in my cushion and then it just quietly rumbles along once I tackoff, like in a real jet. I'm trying to figure out why I need these two programs when the cushion I have already seems to do these things. My cushion uses a transducer, so what would these two programs do? You also said I needed the Sound Module, but I don't see anywhere where to pay for these programs. Are you supposed to download Sim Shaker and purchase Sound Module? I'm still unsure what these will do that my cushion doesn't already do, but I'd like to give it a try if I knew a bit more about them and where to purchase the Sound Module.
  24. I am learning the Heuy at the moment and I'm a bit stuck with something called operational limits and power setting. I read a tutorial about the Heuy by someone called Chuck, but I'm still a bit stuck after reading the guide. Where can I find the charts for the list of things below? I'm also wondering if these things implemented into DCS. Can anyone help me out? Thanks 1 Required torque to maintain a hover state. 2 Hover ceiling. 3 Maximum torque available.
