So there is virtually no finished software in the world ? And of course no DCS module that is finished. The Black Shark got an update 2 days ago. As far as I know it's the oldest module in DCS.

It is a final product. Receiving updates doesnt make it unfinished. Look at your phone OS receiving updates every couple of months.

cant agree more! i work in Munich for a German multinational and we and our German customers laugh and actually don't take seriously marketing launches by our American competitors. At the same time, our market launches go unnoticed to our American customers. I dont believe it is gonna be a silent release though. Polychop, your call

I think I can agree wth the op. I use Matra and keep lock till the end with much less success than before the update. One I saw my missile sky rocketed in the end for no reason at all. I am currently wasting way too many 530D. The 550 are working just fine

The INS hasn't been seriously implemented yet. It's one of the last big things that Razbam has yet to address. They have been recently busy with the Radar which imho more critical. They have done so far a great job. You can trust them that when they start looking at the INS they I'll will implemented in a record time

Rearming shouldn't Bing back the chute. You have to explicitly take the chute pod or eclair pod for 16 flares more. I'd go with the flares :)

Wait a sec Captain, it shouldn't be automatically rearmed. I think a new station is needed where you can chose in the reaming menu between a chute and an eclair pod. Zeus is aware of that. Not that you implement it and then it's unusable :)

If I am flying at a certain altitude and hear from awacs that contact are flying higher or below me and i know their altitude and distance, how do I know how much I need to elevate my antenna, do I need to manually calculate it myself? Is it somehow possible to see it in the VTB? Equally, when I move up and down the radar, how can I read in the VTB what's the altitude of the radar scan zone limits based on where my TDC is? I couldnt find answers in the manual. Thanks in advance :)

I agree. There is usually a pre-purchase period. However, since this is their first product, they may think that its better its better to surprise with a top quality product. People would then automatically pre-purchase every other mod in the future. I believe we are, at worse, a couple of weeks away from release.

It is not about the number of switches, the systems are simplified, especially the radar. The world load is very low. In the real Flanker and the F15C that is modeled it is not like this. Even the F16 in BMS that is more modern the pilote has a heavier workload.

I agree with that. I hate FC3 planes not because they are more performant jets but it's because of their arcade systems. Their radars can detect in no time a low flying helo, you need to clicks to lunch an AMRAAM.
