Hello fellow Gazelle pilots, I was wondereding if it was possible to override the launch persmission of HOT3 missiles to, for example shoot another chopper. to shoot longer than the 4.3 km the workaround is fairly simple, point to a closer point and then guide the missile beyond that distance. However, if you want to shoot in the air you can get the LA at all, an override feature is needed. Does the real Gazelle have it? Cheers!

I have another radio question. Is it possible to home on a UHF radio signals?

I am aware of the workaround. But why the waypoint 0 not stored? in the editor it is the home base. I usually forget to copy the current position and after the mission I find myself homeless :D

I think i m quite ok with the Nadir so far. I can navigate, create waypoints, copy and so on. However, I am stuck with a very simple question. How to navigate back to the base? The waypoint 0 is not stored. And if you take the example of the campaign missions, the final waypoints are not the base. Thanks!

I wanted to report just this. Im flying the campaign and i have hard time switching the correct frequency or even turn the radio on. The buttons are tiny and it's so hard to hit the correct small spot

Good point. Nevada is an alpha. Can't blame the devs for the instability of their modules in an Alpha environment. I'm looking forward to the Radar fix on 1.5. My MIG was grounded because of it.

I think we pretty much agree on everything. I wanted to say that the devs have to fine tune the FM to be more realistic rather than easier to use. Mu guts tell me that Polychop like Razbam are worth the trust and they will finish their products. I don't regret the purchase of this early access. I hope it will support to continue the good job.

the flight model has to be as close to the real thing as the devs can do. Yes first it felt jerky and twitchy, but after some stick time it is perfectly flyable and fun. Train more and you will master it. There is no need to change the FM for that!

Learn it before starting to complain that it doesn't work. Auto hover works like a charm.

The Trim button on the stick keeps the diamond on the virtual axis window where it should(RCTRL + Enter) but the Gazelle will ignore that stick position and goes back to level flight as if it is following the real stick and not the trimmed position.

*SA342 BUG REPORTS* Other than the magnetic brake button on the pilot cyclic that seems not to work, i would say this is one of the most complete mod in terms of bugs. At least in this early access stage! Respect Polychop. I am forced to buy anything you bring in the future.

That "Trim" on/off is a switch on the main panel and not on the stick. Its not meant to be turned on and off all the time. You should in principle turn it once and leave there. The magnetic brake, which corresponds to the trim button we know in the other DCS choppers, is indeed on the steak but seems broken.

By "trimmer" do you mean magnetic brake button on the stick or trimmer switch on the main panel?

My point is when I hit the button and recenter the virtual stick jumps in the opposite direction first. It seems that there is not enough interval between when you hit the button and when it lets you recenter it.

I don't have an FFB and it wasn't my point. I'm just asked the devs to have the magnetic brake button acting like the Huey and Mi8

Is it possible to have the magnetic break option to behave like Huey or Mi-8? Meaning when you press the button and release the stock it remains in it position? Currently when I do that fit example with the stick forward, the stock first jumps even more forward before going back to the position where I wanted it to be and causes the Gazelle to violently pitch down.

You mean if you disable the roll pitch and yaw channels? Interesting. I have to give that a shot

Same here. No curves but Y saturation to 30% does the trick for me. My first ever flight in the Huey was straight forward after flying learning the Mi-8 for a month. I thought I have more experience with helos and the Gazelle wouldn't be any different but I was wrong. This is a total different beast

it seems like I have to recover with the stick very gently to the center position. Indeed it is different from the other choppers
