Autopilot not following true north heading
TomCatMucDe replied to TomCatMucDe's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
But you can change it in HSI > DATA > A/C. It will then show you true north headings, only the autopilot won't. It doesn't seem right. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk -
Autopilot not following true north heading
TomCatMucDe replied to TomCatMucDe's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Whatever you enter in the autopilot is always magnetic north and not true north. The autopilot will turn to a wrong heading Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk -
Autopilot not following true north heading
TomCatMucDe replied to TomCatMucDe's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Because almost all other modules, AWACS and airbases use true north Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk -
Hello, I don't know if this is a bug or if it's has been reported but the autopilot heading will always follow magnetic heading even if true north is selected. Is this the correct behavior? Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk

Point track can track a moving Target if there is enough contrast, a vehicle for example. Area track gets fixed on a fixed area and will not follow anything, useful against buildings Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk

Hornet doesn't have proper controls..???
TomCatMucDe replied to Pitufo's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
The key bindings on the hornet are very good. You can assign the speed breaks to a 2 way switch, 3 way switch or a button. You can do anything with these. I guess you didn't understand how to do it. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk -
[MISSING TRACK FILE] Waypoint Auto sequence
TomCatMucDe replied to fjacobsen's topic in Bugs and Problems
same bug was present in the hornet. now it is fixed there. -
I have been reaching to the MFD to cycle through missiles (AIM120 and AIM9), I didnt realise that pressing the nose wheel steering for 1 second changes the missiles and pressing shortly changes the station of the same weapon type. if you have been struggling like me, there you go :)

That's what Wags said. If you are in TWS automatically the highest ranked contact will be L&S, this means of course you will have a target box on the HUD. If you want to get rid of it, you go back to RWS. TWS is only used for attack purposes. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk

December should be a great month for the Hornet.
TomCatMucDe replied to nacy's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
the team busy on the hornet is doing system coding, that's what we need. What do you gain by grounding other teams who cant do nothing in the hornet? you like watching people fiddeling with their fingers? -
not a very good argument when the sim itself is not american...

That's what I would expect too, but looking at the waypoint infos on the DED I saw the coordinates of the WP changing with the TGP pointer. Gesendet von meinem SM-G975F mit Tapatalk

I noticed that when I slew the TGP pointer the waypoint coordinate moves with it. Is this a bug or is it in real like this ? It makes me wonder cause the pre-planned waypoint is lost like this. Gesendet von meinem SM-G975F mit Tapatalk

Why is the Viper getting TWS before the Hornet?
TomCatMucDe replied to key_stroked's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Because none from ED said that it will be in 1 or 2 weeks. If you come with a number it's on you to prove your claim. Without any statement of ED, you are purely speculating. On the other hand, if ED says that they will keep the single radar engineer on the F16 radar is more efficient, then it is a strong indication that he will do exactly that ! TomCatMucDe replied to key_stroked's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Thanks for expressing the frustration and disappointment of many. I would add that the hornet was supposed to be the test bed of new technology such as AA... Now it's the opposite... We end up having half-assed products: a TWS capable F16 but with basic IFF in the one hand and the other an IFF capable Hornet but handicapped by an RWS only radar making both planes not combat competitive. TomCatMucDe replied to key_stroked's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Why do you assume that the hornet will get it a week or 2 after ? If ED continues in their logic to not pull the radar engineer from the F16 for efficiency sake we may get the TWS on the Hornet months after. Don't be so sure Gesendet von meinem SM-G975F mit Tapatalk -
Looking at the early access manual, the F16 Hotas can control pretty much everything ok the MFDs radar etc... The F18 seems a bit limited in this aspect. Are more shortcuts coming later in the early access or it's like this in real life? Gesendet von meinem SM-G975F mit Tapatalk

Common, who ever notice those things. And if you do once, how much impact does it have on the experience. Gesendet von meinem SM-G975F mit Tapatalk

Can't hide my disappointment that there isn't any news or visible progress on TWS and other radar modes. Gesendet von meinem SM-G975F mit Tapatalk

For sure everything is subject is subject to change and that the Viper could be delayed like any other products ... But did Wags change the official statement about the release period from "early autumn" to "autumn" as per his Viper Mini Update thread? Gesendet von meinem SM-G975F mit Tapatalk

same here, but I feel that TWS is a bit negected by ED at this stage. Pity.
-
TWS is still not done and no real news about it. You cant call it done without it.

i did some tests. It looks like the bomb release follows the waypoint altitude programmed in the INS and does not follow the point on the ground.
