Manitu, dein video game vs reality ist mit riesem Abstand das beste youtube video das ich jeh gesehen habe. Ich bin der einzige in meinem Freundeskreis der sich für Flightsims interessiert, trotzdem hab ichs schon jedem meiner Kumpels gezeigt in der Hoffnung, dass sie auch mal DCS ausprobieren :P ED sollte damit Werbung machen find ich! Hat nichts mit dem thread zu tun, wollte ich nur mal sagen, hammer geil das video und obwohl mit alter engine, es sieht super klasse aus :)

Hi Manitu ich versteh Dich schon, aber ehrlich gesagt läuft DCS in aktueller version bei mir super. Ich habe einen sehr neuen Rechner (Win10) mit GTX 970 SLIs etc und verstehe nicht so recht warum DCS bei Dir nicht gut mit Deiner Hardware zusammenabreitet. Bei mir tut es das definitiv. Mikrostutters hatte ich auch, bis ich es auf einer SSD installiert habe. Zusammen mit einigen Mods (Sweet FX, Ultra Visibility mod, Ricardos Cockpit, Mustangs Texturen/Shaders uva) sieht es total klasse aus, bin ehrlich gesagt gespannt ob die neue version ohne Mods so gut aussehen wird wie die jetzige mit diesen Mods. :O Aber ich will nicht dagegen reden, wollte nur sagen dass es mit der richtigen Konfiguration auch klasse läuft, und definitiv nicht instabil. Einige bei uns haben manchmal einen crash von Aries/TS, was nerven kann (bei den meisten läufts aber klasse ohne Probleme, und Aries wäre für uns gar nicht wegzudenken, also definitiv kein Klage hier), aber dafür kann ED auch nichts, bzw das wird sich mit der neuen Version auch nicht ändern. :P

+1 shagrat ich verstehe den ganzen Hype eh nicht. Klar freu ich mich auch auf das nächste update, aber bei mir läuft DCS in momentaner Version super flüssig und sieht klasse aus. Wenn eine neuere/bessere Version kommt klasse, aber mir ist lieber sie läuft stabil und ist ausgereift, daher kann ich warten, solange es eben dauert.

Im pretty sure that is because you replaced the original indicator luas in order to make a CDU export possible in the first place. Im at work right now so I cant give you the exact file path and name, but it should be in your A10C folder under scripts cockpit instruments or something. Since you apparently use the CDU app for the Ipad, and you don't need to export the DCU on your main screens, you might as well restore the original indicator luas, then the CDU export should be gone.

same. DCS World runs 100% fine for me without any 'tricks'. No compatibility settings or beta drivers required, just all windows/gfx card etc drivers updated via windows update/NVidia update

Maybe this has been asked before but I could not find anything. For our next mission, I would like to record with FRAPS. We are using Aries of course, last time I tried, one could hear all the incoming radio transmissions properly, as it should be, but my own voice was not recorded, I just heard the clicking sound of the mic activation in aries. Of course I could simply set Fraps to record my mic, but then it would record constantly, not only when I push my radio buttons, correct? Any easy way to set this up?

short update, I indeed returned the TV and got the Philips 4k montor instead. Works like a charm now! The picture of the TV is really a bit better, richer colors, better contrast etc, but in terms of functionality and response time, nothing beats a proper monitor. :) Can only recommend this screen

well I finally have it all set up and working I think. Now comes the problem.. With my previous surround setup, I had 3x 1920x1080 for the main display, and the additional USB screen for Helios next to it, effectively rendering a something like 7300x1080 pixels total resolution or so. meaning 7mill pixels, which my system could deal with. Now, with the TV, I have 3840x2060 plus the USB screen to the right, resulting in a whopping total of 10,6 mil pixels. This my system cant deal with really. How are you doing your exports when you use a 4k resolution? Is there a more elegant way than rendering over the entire screen area that the extended windows desktop gives you when you include your Helios screen? I tried the UltraMFCD plugin but that totally does not work for me, I get massive delay on the USB screen and intolerable fps hit. Guess I either have to ditch the 4k resolution or use Helios without the lua exports and just for the instruments?

I think so too now! I reverted back to 60Hz @3840x2160 In case this is interesting for anyone, I have now tested my setup with the new 4k screen methodically (still using the Sony TV for now). GTX970 all settings pretty much maxed SLI off: windowed 38 fps, fullscreen 38 fps (add the USB screen with Helios 35 FPS) SLI on: 52 FPS windowed, 46 FPS with Helios and the USB screen with SLI, I simply cannot use full screen, I know I would get some more 10 FPS but that would only work @59 Hz or not use my USB monitor with helios. Im happy it works now, and after some time getting used to the big TV, I must say its really better than I thought initially. View is crazy, I think I would now finally be able to stop manpads from a distance.. :O

I have 2 gtx 970s they work fine. I'm gonna do some more testing when I get home but will probably go for the same screen you have:) thanks!

you mean this one by chance? PHILIPS BDM4065UC Im seriously considering returning the TV and get this display instead, as it is a 'true' PC monitor with displayport connectivity which should solve all problems (plus, its cheaper than the TV!)

I also ditched my triple screen setup and went for a 4k tv, I got this one 49'' Sony KD49X8305 The picture looks stunning, at 4K spotting targets on the ground is so much easier, however Im having a problem with it. While everything works at 4k resolution @60Hz using HDMI 2.0, as soon as I go SLI and fullscreen I get mad flickering. Only way so far to fix it is to force refresh rate to 59Hz in windows, then SLI works. However, I cant get DCS to work while using my Helios USB panel at the same time. Sim loads, I hear the sounds etc, but the screen goes black and only way to recover is a hard shutdown of the PC. Also, for other games, the screen is simply too big for me, and the input lag, while minor, is noticeable which excludes any semi-competitive games like Dota2, which I enjoy a lot. Posting this here to ask whether others might have an idea of why I cant use SLI @60Hz even though both the TV and the gfx cards (gtx 970) are HDMI 2.0 capable (using a high quality cable). Also since I have to use 59Hz on the TV but my USB screen has a fixed 60Hz refresh rate, might this be the reason why I cant run DCS with the USB screen enabled? (without it, it works fine, also in SLI)

well, I think I speak for all warthog owners when I say that this product is top notch. You will certainly not regret it! It is plug and play, all you need to do is assign the cooliehat buttons on the stick to the trim controls in DCS, since they are mapped to view panning by default. I would also recommend getting an extension. There are several people who build and sell them. I got the 10cm black extension from here and absolutely love it. Get yourself some cheap box, fill it with something heavy, and screw your extended stick on it, you can then place it on the ground and have it between your legs, its an absolutely amazing flying experience. I never use the TARGET software btw, it just works as it is, and its brilliant! hope that helps :)

+1, I have that one too and am very happy with it. It can be easily mounted to any headset.

Hi, anyone who played Operation Bactria recently, what in your mind are the best taskings, as in, what flights you recommend us to choose? We will run this mission in about 3 weeks and Im not sure yet how many pilots will show up, but I hope to fill at least one 4-ship. On some of the previous pages I read about problems with TUSK flight, was that sorted in the meantime or should we avoid TUSK?
