Well its friday , and i just collected my new pc , a day later than expected ,becoz it failed a burn in test , due to a faulty strip of ram. I am off now to set it up how i want it - currently typing still on the old pc here now. Anyway , just wanted to say Goodbye the Lo forums , as i am off to explore new games and stuff , which i have missed out on playing over the last few years ,due to old non compliant old hardware. I don't know when / if i will come back to Lo and 3d stuff ,tho i can still be contacted via private message off the forums here , as it links to an external email address i check occasionally Anyway take care all ,catch you on the dark side , laters Roger )

following on from witchkings idea - i suggest the following - once they have refuelled and rearmed the plane , and washed the windshield with a nice soft sponge - get them to line up alongside the runway - pump in an mp3 music track into the Lo game engine , and get the little dudes to dance along to the YMCA theme music with the appropriate actions :-) Y M C A Y M C A Let me here you now ! new model new skins - simple

ok well , what needs to be done is clearly laid out and stated back in previous pages of the thred it involves using 3d max to uvw and unwrap etc , and then skin , animate in accordance with the lo engine rules and use the plugins to export the finished job out to a lom file to use in game Lo and publically share - all stuff i have no clue or experience of ! there is a uvw tutorial in the sticky at the top of the 3d forum - shows how to uwv / skin a spaceship etc no offence to you , but it probably needs to be done by someone with previous experience of the relevant processes - basically its the same process that is being applied to the new A10 .

so basically you are not using vista much then - becoz not many true dx10 games yet ! i think lost planet - call of juarez and maybe 1 or 2 more have patches which add a few extra fancy dx10 gfx options - but you could debate and argue what makes a true dx10 game ! ?? obviously 100% dx10 games are .and will be coming - no doubt ! i want to play that new Mercenaries game - set in venezuela - it tho i think is defo dx9 and probly dx10 enhanced )

my heads up for today - is the new pc failed burn in test faulty ram ! shop advised so its been swapped for Kingston KVR667D2N5/1G 2 strips totalling 2gb ram i ok'd the change based on this review of 667/ 800 speed ram - btw i am not an overclocker - nor will i http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/200494-13-tomshardware i hope to collect pc friday morning 11.30am - unless more tests fail - as pc gone back for another 24hr burn in test on this new kingston ram ! fingers crossed ?

sending super sized fries your way ) re the 300mb file - i use http://www.fileden.com/ its free - you could split the file into - below 50mb chunks - by span zipping / rarring or winace'ing them and then up them for sharing - and people can download them freely at quite a nice speed ) hope this helps )

yep as a caveat - it has been said that what was said about winxp at first , kind of now applies to vista - i think this is the rationale behind the advice of the uk gaming magazines , to leave vista alone until its sorted out more - re patches etc if dx10 does remain vista only - and new games become dx10 only say in 2 years time - then we will have no choice but to install vista - and this is / was probably the grand microsoft long range plan / strategy - these guys are not exactly thick when it comes to money making schemes etc ! also bear in mind games development cycles tend to be 18 months to 2 years or longer !!

yep to be honest i will never go sli my viewsonic monitor does 1280 max rez and i will have 1 x 8800 gtx ultra by asus - so my rig should rock my games at that rez with bucket loads of aa and af so its a 1 x 3d card new pc - i was advised to get the sli asus m/board becoz of its good features and track record and chipset etc - i could alaways go sli in future just get a bigger psu put in the case - but that would be years from now ) my pc i am typing on now - is athlon 1900 with a gf4 ti 4200 128 mb 3d card - so tomorrow thursday i am expecting big changes and hopefully a big wow factor when i collect the new rig ) my 1st new pc in 7 years so i am excited )
