well as you know - dx10 may well run on xp soon - its being worked on by some web coder guys i have 1 dx9 / 10 game - Lost Planet - and i will have cysis when it comes which will be dx9/10 too so vista and dx10 right now is no biggee to have - some games developers eg valve - the half life 2 people have actually surveyed their customer hardware base via steam - and found like 6% i think had vista - they have said basically fook vista and dx10 - they are not going to code for dx10 vista - and also they have publically said - that dx10 can run on xp - and that the vista dx10 tie together by microsoft is a sick joke hurting the pc games industry / environment - thats pretty hard and truthful talk i feel ! as i said every uk pc gaming magazine has said basically - don't upgrade to vista wait a year or more etc ! as i said before i can only believe what i read , and take the appropriate guidance based on the info and opinions i am presented with so for me xp yes - vista no thanks - as i said i am happy to be proved / shown wrong re vista )

re vista , when someome produces a list of all the pc games past and present , that run under vista without hassles , then i would change over - everything i have read in magazines and on gaming web forums is vista negative - in terms of incompatibilities trying to get games to run etc my new pc on thursday will be vista ready in terms of 3d card , ram - cpu etc - but the reason i am sticking with xp is the gaming compatibility issue - right or wrong ?

WHATEVER ! yep it does peeve me off - i have my own opinion and i don't follow the herd like many of your around here . Very clever to turn it around and jump on my case ! for your info - if you care to read the tech forum - i have had a very bad experience over the last month securing a new pc - i am on an athlon 1900 here with a geforce 4 3d card - so i need a new pc badly - on thursday i am collecting my new rig ,1st new pc in 7 years - so as i said on thursday onwards - i will not be doing Lo - or 3d modelling - i will be doing 10 hours video conversion - followed by pc gaming of so many titles - too many to list - yes ARMA is 1st gaming visit - seeing as i have had the box for nearly 1 year and can't play it - only seen youtube videos etc -and yes maybe i will offer some models over to that community in time - maybe , my choice ! i have clearly told the community , i am off with a new pc to play different stuff- the Blackjack is there still available in accordance with the original thred and the terms and conditions i made before - is that so bad for me to bump it up and remind you before i go ! if you want to read something else into me being pissed about the tornado , that is not there , or the fact that i am leaving , and you people collectively failed to take up my offer and hard work on the Blackjack , then fair enough thats your problem not mine .

So thats the death of that project then ,scratch one tornado imo ! no offence but the whole point of 3d modding , with the released import tools etc - is precisely to NOT submit stuff to ED for their approval -unless of course you specifically made it for free for ED to have for Black Shark etc ? I am posting this comment ASSUMING that the Tornado was for Lock On , and that me and others were expecting obviously wrongly , that this was to be a free download for LO , once the project was finished ?

about Majorca - no dude - some of us actually went there for the sun , the beach and to relax and have a nice family holiday - drinking only came into it , at night to cool down , and have a few pints of cider with the meal , and to chill before bedtime - like 3 pints max all night - plus you have ice cream etc so i am glad to say no mallorca / majorca - pronounced - MADGE JORKA ! is not just about drinking ! re VISTA - yep its has bad gaming compatibilities - every uk pc mag re gaming - says leave alone - for a few years until fixed etc :-)

Thanks - this was covered in previous pages of this thred - no offence but i don't want to get involved with ED in any shape or form in regard to 3d models and modding As i said i am shipping out of here soon re playing Lo for a while , so i will take it somewhere else - as i said if Arma turns out to be as good as i hope - i may want to donate some models over to that community to add in ) I will just accept the situation as is now , and accept its time for me to move along

ok thanks for the salute - well as you may all already know - i am hoping with big fingers crossed to have my new pc this week - so i will be doing 10 hours of video conversion first ,followed by i hope alot of pc gaming on my new rig - alot of first person shooters to play , and its going to be a while before i rerturn to flight sims like Lo , or doing anymore 3dmodelling - i will return to 3dmax as a hobby sometime in the future - don't know when tho ? so in this respect it appears Mr Blackjack may well be Lo dead - i may offer the 3dmodel to the ARMA community instead , with reduced undercarriage etc - seeing as i will be investigating ARMA as my first new game on my new rig - had Arma since it came out , never been able to play it on my old existing rig !

i asked ED for the 3dmax file of the Lo pilot dude , many many times - but they could not be bothered to share it ?? dunno why ?? - to me that was a big sign that they did not really want to help out 3d hobby guys - i asked quite a few times too in various threds - the Lo pilot 3dmax file would have helped out alot of plane makers etc

my new pc is being sent back for a full refund today - after 24 hours of frustrating testing and problems ,becoz of loads of problems and instabilities etc despite what looked like a very nice built and components etc physically - usage proved to be a pile of untested junk - my old pc i am back on now ran better - so christ knows what they did when they built it ? i never even got to try a game or see the 3d vid card gtx8800 in action - i was expecting trouble - so i was not disapointed !:-( not a good experience the last 3 weeks once i get my Ј1100 back - its back to the drawing board and try again with a new competent retail outlet ! lets just say that i am mightily foxtrot offed right now !

well after being seriously dicked around for the last 2 weeks plus by the pc seller / builder - i get my new rig delivered on monday - its sitting in a depot about 6 miles away awaiting monday - sat afternoon now - i have tracking details etc no sat deliveries grrrrrrrr! man i am annoyed and frustrated - just hope come monday pc is all ok , and everything i paid for is there and works i will report back , hopefully using the new rig )

No probs , as i said i have already moved on from Lo 3d stuff , and i will be returning to general pc gaming big time , for alot of fun i hope soon , on my new rig next week ) whatever re the a10 - i think you will find its more a matter of conversion rather than theft , but frankly i am past caring anymore ! enjoy your 3d projects )
