When you say: "randomly loading levels" how often does it do it? Because this is where it does it for me everytime. What are your setting in DCS and Ill try using those settings. Thanks!

Crashes everytime for me. I'll keep trying, but don't think it's going to work. So disappointing as this is what I was waiting for. I know there's bugs in 1.5, but it won't even work for me.

Thanks for the reply, but 0.7.0.0 isn't required. This guy in the Youtube video (below) is using the same version as me. I have now got the menus showing in the Oculus Rift, but when I create a quick mission and it starts to load, it just crashes with a box that says "DCS has stopped working close the program" Where can I find a thread that tells you how to set this up? It's obviously working because this guy in Youtube has it working.

Oculus Rift not working? How are you supposed to get Oculus Rift working with 1.5? I thought it was going to be easy just using Direct to Rift. I currently use 0.6.0.1 with my Rift and have ticked the box to detect Rift in the DCS settings. When I start the game and load a mission though nothing happens. The screen is blank in the Rift and there is just a small square on my monitor which is like the view I should be seeing in my Rift and it's laggy as hell. So how do you get this to work with the rift because I'm at a loss how to do it. I was really looking forward to have this direct to rift support aswell.

Works for me now after I totally uninstalled the open beta in the DCS programs menu and re-downloaded everything. I had to reinstall all my modules again though, so beware if that's what you want to try.

DCS login no internet connection? I'm trying to login into 1.5 beta but everytime I come to the user screen and try to login it says I have no internet connection. I do have an internet connection though and a very good one. So whats the problem here?

I don't think it's totally inconceivable that we may have been visited at some point by some other life form. We are visiting other planets so what's to say we aren't been visited. Even the renowned Professor Steven Hawking, is worried about been turned into sausage meat or spite roasted whole for an Alien barbecue.

Wasn't so long ago that everyone called you a crack pot if you believed in life on other planets. Yet this year alone we have found a planet that's like our own Earth and now water on Mars. So who's the fool now for not believing that life may exist on other planets. I thinks it's just about fact that life does exists else where in the universe and possibly in our own solar system now.

Will this still use two executables one for beta and one for the main game? I just don't understand the bit where it says: "New unified executable. Separate executables are no longer used for the front end and simulation" Great News.

This then means that NTTR is not set in stone for November either. All the Pre orders that are out and with no firm release dates. I think I'll wait until they are released even if I have to pay a bit more.

Thanks for the heads up gents. I was getting worried I was just going to suck badly at this Sim. I gave my arms a good workout trying to avoid all the Sams though, so it did save me going to the gym today. Does anyone have a list of good campaigns or missions I could download? I don't mind paying for some good ones, but free is good.

I've just started the campaign in the A10C while I wait for the 1.5 release, but I'm having problems right from the start. Are these mission supposed to be realistic? Because if they are would there normally be so many SAM sites still up and running when sending in the A10C to bomb targets? I'm just wondering how I'm supposed to bomb Artillery and Tanks when I've got so many Sam Sites to deal with aswell? How do I actually avoid these SAMs while trying to bomb other targets? I thought the first mission would be easy just to start of with LOL.

No, I believe they then estimated it to be March of this year if my memory serves me correctly. Barbra.

@raptorsim - I'm with you, I couldn't give two hoots if it crashes every fifteen mins or so, I'll just be happy to play it. I've played multiplayer of DCS when it used to crash every 15 -30 mins before it was fixed, so I can live with crashes. It wasn't until the community sent in all the bug reports that this issue with multiplayer finally got fixed.

Well you should find out tomorrow what's happening. These aren't just bugs by the sounds of thing though. These are blocking bugs and I'm worried because they already spoke about blocking bugs in January of this year when it was estimated to be released. So it seems like nine months on we still have blocking bugs that may prevent it's release again, but for how long? We'll know tomorrow hopefully :helpsmilie:.

I think the buildings going to be more expensive then the equipment.

All that matters to me is placing my Oculus Rift on my head and playing DCS 1.5. The current Rift setup is horrible at present, so I'm having to wait to play the Sim again. I can't go back to playing on a flat screen after been in the Rift, but the current version is just to juddery to play for to long.
